All Other Information: Searching for older birth brother. He was the first born. I am second child born to this unwed mother. Since I was given up for adoption at birth I believe that he was also. Have found our birth family. Our aunt says his birth father was likely a police officer on the Montgomery Police force in 1946. Birth parents were unwed. Birth mother was born in Louisville, KY. (Update) My original birth certificate showed that I had an older birth sibling. Block labeled "# of Children born to this mother not including this birth, still living" had the number 1 in it. Both he and I were born out of wedlock. I was placed into foster care when birth mother left hospital and was adopted about 18 months later. I assume something similar happened to him. I located my birth mother's family and talked with her only surviving sister. She confirms that there were 2 children born to Grace before she was married. My half siblings all want to find this "missing birth brother." I took a DNA test on Ancestry, uploaded my data to FTDNA, took a DNA test on 23andMe. Could use some help with DNA triangulation to separate matches from paternal side (not half brother's father) and maternal side. Also wondering if patients admission records are available. Birth mother's admission date to St Margaret's Hospital would narrow down the birth date of my half birth brother.

I don't know the adoptive father's name but the adoptive mother's name was Panzie Williams. The lawyer's name and company is unknown, but his company was located in a major dept store in downtown B'ham, AL, called Pizit's, located on the corner of 18th St & #rd Av N, if memory serves me correctly, decades ago. It may have been a Private adoption. I don't know if they renamed the baby or kept his first name (Michael). She had a 2 and a half year old daughter in 1953 before my father's birth. She finished high school and went in to the nursing program in the Armed Forces. She had a older sister who was married and had a child and two younger brother still in high school. It was said they had average grades. Her father was a farmer and her mother enjoyed her flower garden. Birth mother described as tall and angular build with light reddish hair and light eyes. Birth father was not her husband. Her husband was overseas in Korea. Birth father was a mechanic. He was described as light completed with a small build. His mother was 4'11" tall. On his non ID paperwork it show his birth mother d.o.b. as 8-11-1930. I have been over the Texas birth books and she's not in it. Either the d.o.b. is wrong or the name is wrong. I believe the adoption was botched and the names on the birth certificates were jumble up to hide who they really were. But here is the story. I was supposedly born at 34 weeks and weighed 4 lbs. And was brought home from the hospital by Belle and Jewell Thomas. Birmingham Gospel Tabernacle was the church Bell attended at the time of my birth. Supposedly the Church made an oath under God not to tell who my birth parents were until Bell died. She died in 2005. A Mrs. Baker (supposedly a relative of my birth mother) contacted my wife's maternal mother years later and told her Steve (me) had a right to know the truth about my biological family. The church later divided because of this secret when the church divided those member went to a Church in Vestavia, Alabama. I remember being in church and seeing my mother come in and Belle taking me away quickly all upset. I can also remember around the age of 10 being in Kmart (Birmingham, AL) and a lady coming up (we believe my birth mother) and Belle grabbing me up and quickly taking me out of the store repeatedly saying this was not part of the deal. Bell and Jewell were told they were too old to adopt. being she was a 41 and Jewell 51 at the time of his birth. It was not until 1967 that I was supposedly adopted. when I was 14. Another reason why I think the adoption was botched and because to this day when I goes to the social security office they ask me which name I want to go by the last name Thomas or Rawson (Rawson is the last name on the birth certificate) I can remember them telling me that some people would be coming to see where me and would want know where I wanted to live. And was told if I ever wanted to see my friends and dog again I would say I wanted to live there. My Wife can remember when my daughter was born I was born Bell looking at her and staring into her eyes and commenting on how much she looked just like my birth mother and how much she (my birth mother) loved me. My daughter can remember as a child growing up Bell staring at her and commenting on the fact she looked just like my birth mother. All of this tells me my birth mother never wanted to give me up and very much loved her birth son that was taken from her. So please help me reunite this birth mother and birth son!!!!
