All Other Information: I am searching for my two brother at birth their names were Danny Buttrick and Mikey Buttrick at least that is what I have been told. I have met my other biological brothers in 1998 and have been searching for the other two. We were given away by our birth father after our birth mother died in 1961. we were living at the old mission which was used as an orphanage in the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Me, Danny and Mikey were the only three that were adopted, the other boys were placed in foster care until they reached 18 years old. All Other Information: Jim Reed I was told was the Ambulance driver that took Mom from Philippi, WV. we lived on Chestnut St. My deceased brother Charles Stalnaker went to the hospital with my mom. I was young around 7-8 years old and I did not know anything about mom being pregnant. There are 8 of us, well there were 4 boys and 4 girls but all the boys have died. My mother died of cancer, 2 brothers died of cancer....need to find Shannon to alert her to health risk and to know my little sister!. (Update) Birth mother had auburn hair, and green eyes (some may call them blue grey) she was 5’5” tall, slim build. She was would have been 41 years old at time of birth. I do not know anything about the birth father at all. We were never told who the birth father was. I was as an unwed mother at the Florence Crittenton Home in Wheeling, WV. her birth father and I had just graduated from Marlinton High School and he did not want to get married at that time. We got married a year later on 7-4-1964. He joined the Navy and served in Viet Nam. We had another daughter the following year in October. We divorced 4 years later because of his drinking problem. I remarried 6 years later and have told my very supportive husband and now my 2 adult girls about having had to give up my first born and they are looking forward to meeting Theresa and her family. I was told on 6-18-1987 by Kathy Singer with Re-unite that she found the adoption records of my birth daughter. She told me that the her adoptive parent gave her the name of Theresa Shrader. I have researched over the years and have found that her adoptive parents were Julian Maurice and Phyllis Marie Porterfield Shrader. Theresa Married Ronnie Lee Sherlin on 8-31-1982 in Lynchburg, VA by Rev. Melvin Campbell a Baptist Minister. After 5 years of marriage including 1 year of separation they divorced in Lynchburg, VA with Eric G. Peters, Attorney for the Petitioner on 3-27-1985. They had no children. The divorce decree shows Theresa was living in Chandler, AZ at the time. I have found death certificates for Julian Maurice Shrader Birth date: 3-21-1927 Death date: 12-15-1985 in the New Lebann Cemetery, Pickaway, Monroe County, WV. His last residence was in Chandler, Maricopa, AZ. Phyllis M. Shrader Birth date: 8-30-1932 Death date: 7-18-1994 last residence Chandler, Maricopa, AZ. Julian and Phyllis married on 8-31-1950 by Don C Taylor, Methodist Minister from Marlinton, WV. I believe Theresa married Mitch Jay Phebus and have had two children daughter: Theresa Phebus born in 1989 and a son: Devin Michael Phebus born in 1991 and they still may live in Chandler, AZ. I will be going to AZ the middle of August to see my Grand-daughter graduate from medical school and I would love to be able to make contact with her during that time. Our two sons have medical issues and we need medical information desperately. Gregory Earl Rice was born at Ohio Valley General Hospital in Wheeling, Ohio County, WV on 3-13-1968. He was adopted from day 1 I believe. Greg died 2-3-2013 at his home in Washington, Pennsylvania, leaving 2 sons that are in need of medical information. We do not know if this was a private adoption or which agency handled it. I think it might have been private since his adoptive mother worked for some attorney. I don’t know who.WV does allow access in the case of adoptee death. But to whom do I contact ?. How difficult is it to extract medical info from a West Virginia adoption if I have to petition the court ?. Thank you for your help! My x husband is deceased. His adopted father is deceased. Adopted mother is elderly and does not remember. Both my sons have medical issues. All I know of the birth parents is we were always told they were very young (high school). I have one son in the US Navy and the other just turned 18 years old. (Update) Greg was 6'0" tall, with hazel eyes and dirty blonde hair as an adult but blonde as a child. All Other Information: According to my adoption info available I was relinquished at birth but was in foster care until I was 4 months old. I find this odd since my adoptive parents had been waiting for over a year for a child. The best info I have is my birth mother was Carolyn Sue Barker and she was a senior in Milton High School in ?-?-1968. She has several siblings. She lived with her family in Milton but her father was a barber? who worked out of Charleston and was home seldom. her mother was the only family member to know of her pregnancy. My father was a neighbor who moved away before i was born. He was 15 or 16. She stayed in a "home" for preg. woman for month or so prior to my birth. After I was relinquished the social worker took! her for info on joining the armed forces. She attended a church function at Milton ? Baptist church- not sure of the name but this is the rural area in Milton around Blinko Glass. The social worker named me Beth Ann (her name was Elizabeth) and my name was changed by my adoptive parents. I stayed with a foster mom who knitted me a yellow dress and a white dress/jacket with cap. I still have these. The only record I can find of my birth mother since that time mentions her last name as smith and gives a Germany address. I also have hearsay info that she has 2? boys and is religious. I would appreciate any info on any relatives including birth mother/father or any family. I would also be open to contact from social worker or foster mother. Anything would be appreciated.
