My father recalls meeting his birth sister when they were 9 or 10 years old, his mother took him to the old Garlock ranch near Wheatland, Wyoming and dropped him off for a few days, he recalls her saying "Wesley I'm your birth sister". My father has never stopped thinking about her and would really like to be re-united with his birth sister. (Update) The birth mother was 25 years old at the time of birth, her name is Esther Sturgeon, 5'5" tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. birth father was 41 years old. 5'10"- 6' tall, with blue eyes and reddish hair. All Other Information: My adopted grandfather drove to Powell, WY, from Zanesville, Ohio. My father was born weight at 1 1bs. 7 ounces. He was considered a miracle baby. A few years back a librarian went into the basement and found out there were two baby boys born on 9-21-1949. One of them passed away and the other one was My dad. So from there my dad’s biological sister from the marriage with a man of the last name Reeder shared the same birth mother, but different birth fathers. But my dad’s birth mother had passed away in 1997, so we didn't get to meet her sadly. We learned that Vera had 3 children with a man by the name of Yoakum, Rick, Sharon, whom sadly passed away today at 1 a.m., and Debbie. Then my dad was born and adopted out and she remarried to a man of the last name of Reeder and had 3 more children, Mike whom also passed away, Noreen, and Patty. My dad grew up raising 3 kids and I am the youngest! We had no one but each other, my dad has always felt alone especially after his adopted parents both passed away. I promised him I would try to get find out his family and who he is! Thank you. (Update) Birth mother had brown hair. Donald is about 6'0" tall, with blue eyes and blondish hair as a toddler but has brown hair now. We have no other info on birth father at this time. (Uptate) The court house burned down, records of birth were found in the local library basement I think in Powel.

All Other Information: Adoptive family moved to Eastern Nebraska shortly after adoption. (Update) The birth mother passed away on 7-8-2012. (Update) The birth mother was 15 years old at the time of the birth. She was 5'3 1/2" tall, with brown eyes. The birth father was 23 years old. Her name was Karen Lorraine McCoid Allen. His was Elmer Lewis (Turk) Allen. I've since learned that he passed away several years ago. (Update) I just found out that Elmer was 5'11' tall, 170 lbs. with brown eyes and brown wavy hair. Elmer also had two brothers and one sister. He remarried after Karen divorced him and had more children with this second wife. They were never made aware of his previous marriage or an older half-brother.

All Other Information: I'm searching for any biological family of my father. He was born , as we know, on 6-11-1958. He was maybe just days old when he was found on a back pew at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was then taken to DePaul Hopsital. His story was published in a newspaper at the time of his findings as well. My Father is still alive and has been searching for his family for sometime now. He also has another daughter, my younger sister. We all are very interested in finding our long lost family. No one is upset about the past.
