He was not with the birth mother at the time of the birth. He was told the child was still born. We just recently found out the baby girl was put up for adoption and the lie was made up to end the story for everyone involved. I am the baby's sister and I am searching on behalf of my birth father because he is not in good health. A birth family member did stay in touch with the birth mother from time to time over the years and found out that the birth mother passed years ago and due to breast cancer and I feel the baby girl should know her health history as well as her birth family if she so chooses. They sent me a Post Adoption Birth Information form to fill out and mail back to them which I did. Within a few weeks I received a letter from them stating they had no record of my birth sons adoption taking place in Ontario, but in New York State. The only information that I was able to obtain from them was, he was in foster care from 4-27-1970 until 12-?-1970. At that time he was place with his adoptive family and the legal adoption took place 11-?-1971 in New York State. I have applied for my birth sons adoption records since the Ontario government opened the files, but I am still waiting to hear from them. Since I have no idea what my birth sons adoptive name or his adoptive parents it is very diffuclt to get infomation. I am hoping that maybe someone out there has information they can provide for me in my search. (Update) I was 17 years old when my birth son was born and his birth father was 21 years old.
