All Other Information: Dr James E Murphy attending physician worked at baptist with my adoptive mother who was a nurse there. He had told her there was a woman coming in to give birth and place baby for adoption and knew my parents had been trying to have a child and was trying to go thru proper avenues within the department of human services etc to be considered for adopting a child. the lady gave birth to me and 2 0r 3 days later I went home with johnny and wanda. I had contacted Mr Murphy who said all his records were destroyed by flood at some point and the Attorney Phillip Wilson in Dallas TX as of present said he didnt wasnt able to handle such a case a just coming into the firm at that time and my mom had sent me on a goose chase. I dont know what else to do...it haunts me nonstop.. I really neeeed to find my birth mother before its too late. My aunt had told me once that my birth mother had written my parents but they denied it and my adoptive mother is of no help as she feels betrayed and thinks its not that important to me. will not assist me. I was told of the adoption when I was 10 and promised at an older age they would assist me and had documents in safety deposit box. but to no avail.. they will not even discuss it.

All Other Information: I was told my birth mother did not know she was pregnant until two weeks prior to my birth. Also, she was 5'4" tall and weighed 175 lbs. pre-pregnancy & was a student at the Univ. of Arkansas. My adoptive parents obtained non-identifying info when I was in my teens...she had a sister, married parents, lived in Arkansas, and had a history of headaches / mental issues and was 19 or 20 years old when she gave birth to me. I was in foster care from shortly after birth until I was adopted. I am lactose intolerant, have had some mental health issues of my own. I am married with two children. I had curley, sandy brown hair when I was younger, but it has darkened with age to a very dark brown, but still curley if I let it grow out. I have blue eyes, a medium complexion, tan easily, am 5'11" tall and weigh about 180 lbs. (Update) When my non-identifying information came, it had my birthdate as 12-31-1974, not 12-13-1974. 12-13-1974 is what my birth certificate says...probably the person doing the paperwork just reversed the numbers.

All Other Information: I believe that my birth daughter was a black market baby. The night that she was born I was told she was small but healthy. They did not allow me to see or hold her when she was born. I was told that I could see her after she was cleaned up. A nurse came into my room around midnight and told me how well she was doing. I told her that I still had not seen her, and she asked me if I wanted to go to the nursery to see her. She took me to the nursery. My baby had a lot of dark hair, and was a beautiful ink, not red at all. The next morning I was told that my baby had died. The doctor seemed quite surprised that I had been down to the nursery to see her. I was released from the hospital less than 12 hours after I gave birth. They tried to talk us out of having a service. We were given a burial plot, and never received a hospital bill. Later all records of me giving birth at that hospital had disappeared. Records of burial at the funeral home also are missing, and someone else is buried in the plot that our child was supposed to be buried in. Later when we tried to get information from the owner of the funeral home, he contacted an attorney and told us that he would not talk to us any further, but he also stated that if anything happened to our baby after he interred her he was not responsible. We were told later that the doctor, and the man from the funeral home were related through marriage. We were never financially able to pursue this much further. I have done DNA testing just in case anyone ever tells her that the parents that raised her were not her birth parents, and she tries to search for us.
