We lost a son from SIDS and wanted to make sure Julia had survived. Then my husband, Julia's biological father had kidney failure and heart problems and we wanted the adoptive family to be aware of these medical conditions. They know where Julia is. They contacted the adoptive parents and they in turn sent us a generic letter to let us know a bit about Julia, but nothing else. So Catholic Social Services has all contact information but would not give it to us because the adoptive parents did not want this. Julia is 37 years old. My husband, her biological father, passed away on 10-21-2005. Julia has 2 full blooded siblings. My father was a patient in this same "state psychiatric facility" intermittently since the age of 10 years old, due to running away and playing with fire. A juvenile court order placed him back in this facility as a teenager, where he stayed for twelve years until eloping with my mother. Prior to their marriage, approximately ?-?-1974, he was incarcerated for arson, paroled for two years, and re-arrested for arson. In ?-?-1980, he was sentenced to 3 years for destruction of property.
