All Other Information: Born at City Hospital 1515 Lafayette, St. Louis, Missouri. Through Lutheran Family and Children’s Services in St. Louis. Not sure where the office was the final papers were signed maybe city maybe St. Louis co. Im the birth mother and wasn’t married at that time. Not sure if the adoptees father would be on birth certificate. Im not sure if his birth certificate would read baby boy Polson or not. I was 20 years old the birth father was 22 years old. I was never told the time of his birth. I went to the nursery to see him and there was a name card that read Polson at the top and up for adoption in the middle of the card. I was never offered counseling after the fact. I don’t have any more information than that wish I did. The birth father and I were married later that year and have been together since. Our adopted son is always in our hearts. (Update) DNA testing completed with Ancestry, have tree on Ancestry also, DNA uploaded on Gedmatch, My Heritage, and FTDNA. Adoptive parents flew adoptee from MO. to New Orleans, LA for adoption process. I am the adoptee posting this. (Update) Birth mother was 18 years old. 5'4" tall, 145 lbs, blue eyes and blonde thick straight hair at time of birth. Birth mother did three years of high school then dropped out because of emotional upset. She is musically gifted and plays the piano. She has three siblings (one older brother, one younger brother and one younger sister). Her family is aware of the birth of her child and offered her support. All Other Information: Adoption agency (child placement services) has since closed, it was affiliated with RLDS (now community of Christ) church! , and was located on the Independence Square. Foster name was Iona Place (yeah it's funny, the foster parents chose names alphabetically, and went to the next letter of the alphabet for each baby, I was an "I" name, and they use the word "place", based on the name of the agency I came from). Was told I have a birth sister named Melissa who was born 9-?-1981. The adoption was delayed because my birth father refused to consent. Also, Kris Probasco and Becky Wendt of Child Placement services were the social workers who handled my adoption. I have more information to verify in case of matches, and I desperately need medical history, due to some problems I've had for awhile, and the doctors want a complete backround. Here is some non-id I recieved from agency at time of finalization: The birth mother also has one sister, and her health is good. The birth Mother does have one child, Melissa, born 8-?- 1981. She has blond hair, blue eyes, and is developing normally. The birth father saw the baby once during the foster care stay and after that visit there was no further contact from him concerning his parental interest. He stated through attorneys, after visiting the child, he was not in a position to provide for her, so he wouldn't continue his efforts to stop the adoption. The birth father did not continue interest of support, and his signature was deemed unnecessary for the adoption to occur, because of his continued lack of support and interest. All Other Information: My birth son was born on 3-12-1984. He was 7 lbs. 2 oz. He was 20 inches long. The doctor that delivered him is named Dr. Mario Coronado. Jacob was placed in foster care after his release from the hospital. I believe the Villa Maria Center handled the arrangements for the foster care. I had 1 visit with him before he was adopted. I see all kinds of success stories and I very much would like my story to end in success so please please share this post! *My name is Niki (Nicole) and my older brother is Nathan (Thomas Nathan). Most of you don't know this about me but I was adopted, by the most amazing family! And I wasn't the only foster child that my adoptive mother and adoptive father had. My adoptive parents (Skip and Paula) cared for many children over the years!. Sometime in 1986 when I was 3 years old we had a foster brother. His name was Patrick Lee Franklin (it may have been changed if he was adopted), his birthday is 9-28-1985. My adoptive parents really wanted to adopt Patrick but his grandmother had legal guardianship of him still and would not agree to relinquish her rights, but Patrick remained in foster care even so. We lived in a nice neighborhood in St. Louis, called Bellefontaine Neighbors, on Donnell Ave. I know Patrick was less than a year old when we first got him. and I believe his grandmother's name was Nina. Patrick went to Strawberry Hill daycare on Broadway near Dodridge St., (I remember because I Graduated from there before I went to kindergarten) I was pretty little so I don't remember much about it, but I remember graduating and I remember the lady that ran the daycare, she was great and we loved her! (I just can't remember her name, but she had the longest fingernails I've ever seen in my life, lol) fast forward a couple of years.... my adoptive parents got a divorce and due to financial difficulties my adoptive mother decided we would move to Tennessee to live with her parents. When my adoptive mother told Social Services that we plan to move across state lines they told her we could not take Patrick with us. Social Services then (immediately) picked Patrick up from daycare and we never saw him again. We never even got to say goodbye.... My adoptive mother was devastated, as were my older brother and I, also our adoptive father. (Even when he and my adoptive mother were not together, they always parented equally). After the loss of Patrick my adoptive mother sunk into a deep depression and eventually became disabled. We never stopped thinking ! about Patrick and my adoptive mother wanted so badly to find him, but we didn't have social media back then like we do today. So fast forward a few more years.... my adoptive mother's debilitating depression never got better and when I was 18 and my older brother was 20, she committed suicide. I just feel like I should do this for her. I think about Patrick often.... I wonder if he remembers us, if he knew how much we loved him, and if he knew how happy he made our family! Patrick will have turned 32 this past September. I would very much appreciate it if everyone could share this in hopes that I might find him. It would mean so much to me just to know he's had a good life! But more than that, to let him know that I'll Always be his Sister and Miss him and Love him so much!. All Other Information: I have a twin sister named Linda.We were put in foster care by the dfs office when we were 3 months along with an older brother named Cuong, I'm not sure but he was maybe 2 or 3 yrs old. our foster parents also adopted my sister & myself. She told us she wanted to adopt our brother, but he went back to our birth mother according to our adopted mom. she told us this when we were older, she said she didn't know why we were taken from our birth mother or why our brother was returned to her & not us. she said she didn't know if our birth mother was married or not & never knew her or our birth fathers name. the only reason I do know what our last name was is because the didn't issue me a new shot record & it was on there. my adopted mom just marked threw it & put laurent on it. I really do think our adopted mom knew more & just wouldn't tell us, because she told us that she kept our first names because our birth grandmother named us & I remember when we were really young & going for a ride in the car our adopted mom was driving down a street & told us & pointed out a house & said that that was were our brother Cuong lived but I was to young to remember were we were at. That why I do believe she knew more than what she always told us, but never questioned it until I was older & when we asked she always said she didn't know. All Other Information: I had my birth son when I was 16 years old and I went by the name of Kimberly A. Hawkins. I spent a few days with him at the hospital and I held him last on 3-29-1987, the day before the adoption hearing. Unfortunately, the adoption agency went out of business and forwarded all their records to Lutheran Family Services of whom I have verified they have no files. Since then I have also registered with the Missouri Adoption Registry. He was adopted to a family that lived in the West County area of St. Louis. He has three older sisters, 1 from the USA and 2 from India. I wanted to make sure that he was placed with a diverse family so he would know he was adopted. His biological family on both my side and his dad's side have been waiting until the day we can all be reunited again. I was forced to give him up for adoption by my mother and only hoped that his new family could give him a better life than what I could provide. All Other Information: At the time of Amanda's birth, her birth mother (Sandra Leigh Carson) and birth father (surname Plenderleith (first name not known), birth mother was 16 years old, birth father was 15 years old (turned 16 years old later that same year), unmarried, and resided in Saint Louis, Missouri. Because Amanda's birth mother knew she could not properly care for her at that time, Amanda was surrendered to agency immediately after birth so that she might be adopted by a loving couple who could properly provide for her. Birth mother did marry someone else 2 -3 years later and there were 2 children born; Alyssa (born 1990) and Haley (born 1992). She is unsure of the date, but several years ago, birth mother did contact the agency involved and asked them to place information in Amanda's file regarding the fact that Amanda did now have 2 half-birth siblings who would be available and were willing to donate blood / organs / marrow that may be a match in the event Amanda suffered a medical crisis that required this. Amanda has never been far from this wonderful families heart, her birth mother has thought about her every single day, and her birth sisters have always known about and cared for her.
