All Other Information: My mother is 59,she received a box of letters that her "mother" had written in 1946 and 1947 that never mentioned being pregnant or having a baby. she speaks of a lawyer from Texas (where adoptive parents are from) and money in the letters, but never a baby. her half sister told her when she was a child that Lola Mae Griffin was not her mother. Lola Mae could not have children we have heard due to a tubular pregnancy. my mother looks like her adoptive father, Johnny E Griffin. Lola Mae's family said that they never knew my mother existed until Lola died and my mother was 7 years. Johnny worked in Las Vegas or maybe they moved there just for the adoption. there was an affidavit of birth in 11-?-1954, two weeks after Lola Mae griffin died. the affidavit was submitted by Johnny Ernest Griffin and the attending doctor. Lola Mae Griffin was not my mother's birth mother and that she was adopted, BUT that Johnny E Griffin is the birth father. She also may have been born in California, possible Medura. Apparently, my grandfather was dating a woman in California and then met Lola Mae Griffin and they married. When he went to officially break it off with this other woman, she was pregnant. Since Lola Mae could not have children, Johnny asked the girl if she would give them the baby. She was distraught by the breakup and agreed to let them have the baby or so the story goes. So, maybe Madera was the hospital or maybe since Lola Mae and Johnny were living in Las Vegas, she came there to have the baby. Alton said that he saw a picture of the birth mother and that she had sandy blonde hair. I hope that helps in some way. So, Johnny E Griffin is the birth father and the adoptive father also.

All Other Information: Birth mother of my father who is now deceased but us daughters of my dad have medical issues that aren't from our mothers side and my dad didn't talk about the adoption. He didn't know he was adopted till he was 18 and therefore didn't talk about it. We found out by our grandmother but they are all deceased now and all we know is it was a private adoption between my grandpa's older sister and her friend who had 8 kids already my dad was 9th. She couldn't take care of him and my grandparents were in their 40 it 50s and couldn't have kids so they took him. I guess later she looked for them but they moved twice in fear she would come back and want him but she was looking for them because she had another girl and wanted to know if they wanted her too. But they were already gone. We have medical issues we need to know because doctors don't know. (Update) Francis was 6'4" tall, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

All Other Information: I did know one of my birth brothers. Clifford. he was adopted by my adoptive fathers sister and her husband. last name Thom. Clifford died about 8 years ago from a sudden heart attack. I grew up in Georgia and he in California. I met him when I was in my early 20's. about 20 or so years before he died. he knew a lot about our real family as had contact with mom a few times over the years. last he knew mom (Barbara) lived in Bryte California as did our sister Barbara. he thinks lived with mom at the time. sister Barbara was in her teens when Clifford was 8, so I would guess she is in her 60's now. I have also found out brother Waymond (Raymond?) died in 1987 or 88 of a herion overdose. possibly while in Carson City Prison. he was approx. 47 at the time. Seems also that heart problems ran on the Roberts side of the family. not good news. as not getting any younger. I was picked up from a foster home in Reno and I was only a year old. My adoptive mother never would talk about it and says now all her records were destroyed in a fire.

All Other Information: Searching for birth father. I have searched and cannot afford traditional avenues. He knew she was pregnant. He may not have given his true name as I have been unable to locate him. He said his family was from the Azores. Parents farmed out on the dunes in Watsonville, CA. He was married / separated with 5 children, she was married / getting divorced with 4 children. They had a two year relationship. He went back to his wife. When she left the area to get her divorce and have me, he gave her a "pink car with big fins" she traded in Watsonville for a smaller "dun colored car". I don't know if he knows whether I exist or not. If he was truthful about where he was from and where his parents lived, their house was up on the hills, west of the highway, North West of Watsonville. Between Watsonville and La Selva Beach.I have a picture of him. (Update) Age of birth father is unknown, birth mother was 27 years old at the time of my birth. Birth father was around her age we think. Birth mother was 5'5" tall, with blue eyes and brown,greyed hair. Birth father had brown hair. My Dad convinced my heart broken mother to let them get adopted by a family more established. I think they were born between ?-?-1959 to ?-?-1964 ?. They are older than me & I was born 9-?-1964. You do the math...I’m terrible at it. ;) I'm pretty sure they were in a Las Vegas hospital, if not, Henderson, Boulder City or East Las Vegas, maybe Pittman. But, likely in county of Clark, state of Nevada. I think my parents lived on 1st Street at the time. idk what else would help. Let me know. Thank you SO much. Update) Birth mother was maybe 29 years old at time of birth ?. She had green eyes & dark brown hair. Birth father was 9 years older than her. He had green eyes & dark brown hair. All birth siblings have green or hazel eyes & light or dark brown hair w/red highlights. All family members are small in stature. The men no more than 5'9" & the females are 5'2"or 3". Fairly petite until middle age, then thickens around the middle. All family is fair skinned. Adoptee may have particularly small feet (size 6) & hands. May have had freckles when young & hit puberty slightly before her peers. Also, I think i remember my Mom saying that Social Service or Catholic Services arranged the adoption. There were only a couple hospitals in Vegas at the time. Or the birth may have been at St. Rose De Lima in Henderson, Nevada. Just learned that the town the birth parents lived in may have been called Whitney at the time. I am currently 5'2" tall, 105-110 lbs.
