Searching For: Birth Father, Michael R. Reid, Medical History.
All Other Information: Michael R. Reid, Lakewood, Co. He was in the army serving in Vietnam at the time I was conceived and may or may not have known about me. I was adopted when only a few months old. He is about 68 years old now. I have taken a DNA test with ancestry.com and familytreedna. com. I have located my 2nd cousin who happens to be the family genealogist. She has through research and identifying other matches to myself, her father and the family tree been able to help me narrow the search to Mr. Reid. We have not made first contact yet but wound like some assistance with this. My husband is conducting this search for me with my cousin to spare my feelings in the event that he doesn’t want to make contact or rejects me. (Update) Trisha celebrates 4-14-1968 as her birthdate, but we are certain that isn’t her birthdate. Her adoptive parents told her she was born in late ?-?-1967 ?. From pictures we saw, birth father has brown eyes and black hair. We don’t have any information on birth mother. Trisha’s present height 5'4" tall, with brown eyes and black hair. There are NO records. Hospital was bombed.

All Other Information: Mother was a waitress at the officers mess at PACAF, 7AF, Tan Son Nhut Air Base outside Saigon. Father was a US pilot in the Air Force who was in country from 1966 to late 1967. He knew Lan was pregnant and offered to take her to the states with him, but she had 5 other children and chose not to leave. Lan thinks that Floyd was from Washington State but had to destroy all of his pictures and personal information she had of his for fear of repraisals after the war. Van was recognized as an Amerasian by the US govt and was allowed to immigrate to the US. She resides in Guam with her husband, son and daughter.
