| How The Search Teams Work |
REMINDER: If you have any changes, updates or comments to send to the Search Angel(s) or to us ALWAYS keep the subject line as it is, and ALWAYS have a copy of your form on e-mail. We need this information to track your search results and improve your chances of a match. By Clicking REPLY ALL the whole team can get all new info, and be able to help you if they can. Also Please let us know when you have FOUND who ever you are looking for, so we can get your form marked FOUND and Removed.

How the Search Team Works
Not all searches are alike. For this reason, our search team has pooled our resources together to provide you, the searcher with the quickest results possible. If you have searched previously to coming to G’S, you may have experienced a more one on one, or adoption group type of experience.
Here at G’S, you can be as involved in the search process as you choose. Or you can sit back & read the incoming emails until it’s time to mark your search FOUND. It’s entirely up to you.
You are asked to stay on top of your emails. Some searches have been solved within the hour of being received by the Search Team. Others may take days or weeks, or even years Depending on the difficulty of your search and how much information you have on hand.
The Search Team has to be able to contact you, so keep your email address up to date & read the appropriate links for fixing your email settings depending on the email provider you use.
We want your visit to G’S adoption registry to be as comfortable an experience as possible. You will laugh, cry & be overwhelmed as well as a plethora of other emotions you may or may not have expected to surface during your search.
So you’ve decided to register your search with G’S
1) You have completed your registration form to the best of your ability.
2) You read through the links on the Home Page.
3) You have requested the appropriate documents from your state &/or county as they apply to your search & provided those to the Search Team.
4) The Search Team will ask multitude of questions. Please answer them as quickly & as accurately as possible. The Search Team understands you aren’t going to know the answers to every question asked of you.

The Search Begins
Your registration form is sent out to the team of volunteer Search Angels.
Once it is received via email, you can expect to receive between one & 25 emails, more or less depending on the search, those involved & the level of difficulty of your particular search.
If at any time you feel overwhelmed by the influx of emails, please let the Search Team know & we’ll look into other alternatives for you.
The Search Angels perform your search online, using such services as people search sites, databases & genealogy sites as needed for your particular search.
Legwork consists of using library’s & local LDS centers. You may be asked to participate in this aspect of the search if you live in the vicinity of the search. If not, other sources will be found for the information if possible.
Mark the Search FOUND
Finally, the person or persons you seek have been located. Be ready with a decision on how you want to handle making contact. There are very capable Search Angels on the team that have expertise in that area. You’re welcome to ask the Search Angels for advice should you decide to handle the initial contact yourself.
Please be sure to let the team know when contact has been made so your search can be marked FOUND & Removed.

How to fix the AOL problem
Whoever has AOL,
(1)click on settings
(2)click on mail settings
(3) general tab
(4) next to bottom line "reply to messages with":
click original text.
This will allow the original text to appear in full when replying.

To reply to the team in yahoo, click the little arrow next to reply & you’ll see a drop down menu.
Click “Reply All” so the whole team gets your e-mails
