All Other Information: I was adopted at three weeks old. The name given to me by my foster parent was: Tamika, not sure of that spelling though. My adoption took place through: Homes for Black Children in Indianapolis off of 38th Street I think, near Arlington Street. I had two or three siblings at the time I was given up for adoption. My birth weight was 7 lbs. 14 oz. and I was 20 1/2" long. I sucked my right thumb at birth and at times sucked both thumbs from birth on until about 18-19 months old. The person that witnessed and signed the adoption papers along with my adoptive parents was Kathy W. Moore. The papers were signed 8-5-1981. I am African American, light coloring, brown eyes and black hair. I'm not petite but not big either, somewhere in between. I also had an eye problem at birth, where my eyes would wonder to the outside the longer I was up. At five years old I had surgery to correct the problem. This coming 7-9-2001, I will be twenty years old. I'm 5'10" tall maybe 11". I live to cook. I have a habit of sometimes squinting my left eye when I get nervous, mom said she thinks it's a habit from before I had my eye surgery and when I get nervous I tend to squint. My mom has always said I have perfectly shaped eyebrows. I also suffer from frequent sinus infections, and when I was a baby had multiple ear infections. We moved to Evansville, IN when I was still being carried around in a car seat. From what I understand both of my biological parent had agreed to release me for adoption due to their financial state at the time, both had some college or were planning college.

All Other Information: I had my son at Home Hospital. He was 8 lbs 9 oz and 21" long. He had black hair (like his dad's at birth). I didn't get to see him as long as I wanted. The hospital did not want me to hold him in fear I'd want to keep him. I am adopted, too and this is why I have searched for him so hard. I had Omnitrace search for him last 3-?-2006 and they said they exhausted all efforts and could not find him. I do not like going to IN otherwise I'd do my own "leg work" search. My family got split up shortly after my adopted mom committed suicide and I was fortunate enough to be adopted by my grandparents. I love Florida and will not return to IN, unless I'd actually find my birth son! He does have 2 half sisters. One is 5 and the other will be 16 in March. My almost 16 year old has a couple of mild birth defects but is a beautiful young lady! Her sister is completely "normal". "Charlene" has auditory processing and some other odd things. We do not do genetic testing now. Too expensive and she's doing great at this point and time!!!! ;>)!

I have already been diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis, Scoliosis, Neuropathy, and a lot more. I miss and love you. (Update) 7 lbs. 11 oz. 20” long. I had blue eyes and brown hair, dark complexion. My birth mother was 21 years old, German / Irish descent. She had hazel eyes and brown hair, fair complexion. 5'2" tall and 145 lbs. She went through to the 11th grade. Was anemic, allergic to grass and mold, has mild asthma and had high blood pressure while pregnant. She has 2 cousins who are twins. She liked camping, music and horseback. She was described as easy going and a loving person. Maternal grandmother is 48 years old 5'2" tall and weighed 165 lbs. had hazel eyes and brunette hair, fair complexion. 27 years old she had diabetes, was anemic and disabled. Her mother had cancer. No information on maternal grandfather. Siblings a 24 year old sister had blue eyes and reddish-brown hair, fair complexion, was 5'4" tall and weighed 130 lbs. Was a high school graduate and had anemia. Biological father was 19 years old, had blue eyes and curly brownish-black hair, medium complexion, stood 6'1" tall and weighed 155 lbs., was a high school graduate. As we speak I am 5'4" tall and 121 lbs. I have brownish-black hair, when in the sun a lot there are natural red high lights.

The year was ?-?-1983 and it was after 6-17, the date the divorce was finalized but she was still pregnant. She said that she had to spend a lot of time in bed before he was born and it was in the in summer so I am sure it was sometime in July or August, but she thinks it may have been august, but is not sure really when he was born. He was adopted I think the following spring but I cannot be sure. I finally tracked down his birth mother, but she has had a heart attack which resulted in a great deal of memory loss. The birth mother's name was Mary Carol Gardner (Maiden name Webster) I have written to the Jefferson county clerk's office to try to get a copy of his birth certificate but they would not reply. His records may be sealed due to the adoption. I am on ancestor.com but have not had any luck finding anything there yet with a free account. His birth mother said she thinks he is now in Louisville, KY. I filled out forms today 11-7-2013) and mailed them in to the State Dept of Health, to try to get his birth certificate and get registered on their registry for contact between adopted kids and their birth parents. (Update) I was born 10-?-1955 so I believe I was 28 years old at time of birth. I am 6'7" tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. Birth mother had brown eyes and brown hair.

All Other Information: I am an identical twin. We are looking for our birth mother, birth father and birth siblings. My name is Nicholas Foley and my birth brother’s name is Sean Foley. We were adopted out together. We were born at community East Hospital on 1-22-1985. Our adopted parent's names were Micheal Joseph Foley and Ethel Lee Foley. Ethel was a black female and died when we were just a month old and Michael was a white male and died when we were 17 years old. Micheal's family raised us until we were of age to do so ourselves. We grew up thinking we were mixed in race and didn't find out until we were 29 years old we were adopted. I'm sure you could image the emotions involved in finding out. We have done the non and identifying paperwork and have found out that our birth mother was a black female who birthed us when she was 40 years old and was originally from Tennessee. According to all the info we have gathered she is still alive. We have tracked! down the doctor, Robert Morgan, who birthed us but unfortunately he was the same doctor that had his license stripped away many years ago from community east hospital and "doesn't" remember any from his past even though he wouldn't be able to tell us if he did however he did give us the lawyer, Nick Rickus, he would have used and he has since passed so that was a dead end. Since our adopted parents are passed no one in the family knows much so we are stuck...the next step is to hire a CI however we are trying to exhaust every option we can until then. I have 4 kids and Sean has a 1 week old son. We have grown up with no mother and now we know we do in fact have a mother somewhere out there all we want is to find her. Please is you can help please do.

All Other Information: I'm looking for my half-birth sister. Who was born on 5-11-1988. My mother was 16 years old and her mother tricked her into signing papers, giving her baby up for adoption right after she gave birth. She was born at Elkhart General in Indiana. The adoption agency was called Catholic Services but have shut down. I made a post on mother’s day on my personal page with my mother holding the poster board of the same information that I listed above. We have tried contacting different places looking for answers and just recently did ancestry DNA, with no matches other than cousins. We have a feeling that my moms, mom knows something as she had asked for $15,000 to release the information she had regarding my sister to my mom! I am hoping that sharing my mom’s story will help us connect with my birth sister, her daughter. Her birth name was Araka Sue Becker. My mothers name is Tami Sue Becker. I need to mention that my mom took the adoption agency to court shortly after Araka was born, my mother's mom took the stand against her saying she was unfit to take care of Araka, but my mom wanted to bring her back to Michigan to live with her and my mother’s dad and wife! My mom’s step mother went with her to court, but the judge clearly sided with my grandmother and the adoption agency so my mom lost the battle. The adoption mother sent my mom a letter and a picture a year later regarding araka, I have the letter but still looking for araka's picture at a year old. I'm not sure if this information would be helpful for any reason, but if by chance Araka sees this I want her to know our mother fought to try and get her back!*We also sent in the paper for the non-identifying info at the same time as the DNA test.
