Danna & Gary Schaefer

I was searching for birth parents since age of 16 . Once I turned 18 I was able to register with state of IL but had no luck. Added my info on this site and was contacted at some point with information for what may have been my birth mom from a Facebook page which I DID send a message to but didn't get a response. Fast forward many years later and the state opened up providing fully filled out original birth certificates. My mom's full info was there but nothing for my father except his age at the time of my birth(SIGNIFICANT age gap between him and mom) Many years later I did both ancestry and 23 n me . My bio sis from moms side that also was on an  ancestry  contacted me.  Found dads side from 23 n me .  It took a long time for me to find them but don't give up it IS.  possible. Be prepared for parents to not be alive or not wanting to know you . Dad and siblings on that side deceased but spoke with a few nieces and nephews. Mom still alive and I was able to get some information but really didn't want anything more to do with me after that. I speak with sister and brother occasionally on that side and have spent some time with sister as well. Also really think about the "after" if you do find them. I was so concerned about finding them I didn't really think about if I wanted a relationship with them. Thank you for all the help and guidance. Melissa FOUND #6555

After twenty years of searching, my mother's birth family has been located on Ancestry thanks to the invaluable help of Kyle Bjerke - my birth family was found within one day!!   I found your site by a random search of the name of the solicitors who handled my mother's adoption in Canada and your site popped up - I wasn't even going to enter the information as it seemed like such a needle in a haystack - but am so glad I did!!  What a generous gift everyone gives who is searching for their birth parents.   From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful.  My mother is no longer with us - it was her most fervent wish to find her birth family - and I vowed to continue that search.  I hope somewhere she knows that they have been found.  Bless you all and thank you

What an amazing experience I had with these search angels. I had been searching for anyone in my biological family for years. The only information I had was my date of birth and the city in which I was born. These wonderful people gave me the information I needed to find my biological identity. At first I found my birth mother's side of the family, she had passed away about 10 years before I found out who she was. Just recently I had someone from my birth fathers side contact me. He had passed away about 30 years ago. It's amazing to find out all of the information an adopted child looks for and that would have never happened without G'S Registry.  These are the people you can count on to help you in your journey, they are amazing.
Thank you!   Tami  FOUND #6090

Just wanted to thank this company for giving me the support and courage to go forward with my life long quest to find my biological parents. I ended up hiring a private genealogist and she found my birth mother in 2015 and the name of my birth father (passed away) in April of this year!! I was able to connect with my birth mother (living an hours drive from me) and had a very successful,  almost 3 year mother/daughter relationship.I called her every night and saw her as often as I could.  She passed away this past January. I am now trying to find relatives on my father’s side...he never knew about me, and of course none of his relatives  did either.Just want to find out more info on who this man was. So, after almost “70” years of curiosity and not knowing, I have finally found my “birth families”...
Don’t give up the search!! Judy   FOUND #6052

Thanks to G'S Adoption Registry and their team of angels, I have reunited with the son I placed for adoption in 1974.
Search Angel, Amy contacted me on 12-11-2018.  I admit I was skeptical at first. But once I spoke with Amy on the phone I knew she was genuine.  Within a day she sent me my son's contact information.  Patiently she guided me through the process of writing a letter and mailing it using UPS so it could be tracked.
When the letter arrived, she also advised me to be patient, giving support and guidance to understand what most adoptees go through once they read the letter.
I only had to wait two days and my son called me, on 12-21-2018.
The last few weeks have been amazing.  There is so much of me in my son, so much of my brothers!!

For him, he has always wanted to know why is the way he is.  For me, a 44-year-old question has been answered.
THANK YOU to all the angels who helped make this reunion happen.

To those who are still looking, please don't give up!  Jere W  FOUND #5892

A Huge thank you to my Angel “Sandy”.  She took a great interest in my quest to find my birth mother. I had taken a DNA test about a year ago, and could not find anything.  I took another test with a different company and found a first cousin. After contacting them, I found my fathers family. We have been reunited and I have a half-sister.  I had been so defeated with the search for my mom, I just gave up for a while. One night while searching through the internet, I found G’S adoption site. Within hours I had multiple angels looking into things and giving me leads on where to search, and people to contact. My angel Sandy asked for my DNA results to be shared.  She worked a miracle on Ancestry.com with the information that I had and found my mom. I sent her a message on Facebook and within a week she responded.  She was so worried I would hate her and asked if I could ever forgive her.  This shocked me, because I always knew her sacrifice was always for my best interest. My whole life, I only wanted to tell my birth mom that I admire her for her courage to make the hardest decision of her life. I have such peace now knowing that I have found both of my birth parents.

First of all I'd like to give a big Thank You to G'S Adoption Registry; you guys are very generous with information and help! I am mailing a contribution to you. I had been searching for my son off and on since 1995 with no luck; I resumed the search online in 2015. I had several possible leads and hints, but it was you guys who connected all the dots and arrows pointing to my son for me. I shared the information with my family, and one of my sisters (a former newspaper reporter) made the call for me, to the school he taught at. We have since visited back and forth and learned much about each other's history. I would advise people to not give up until you have found your missing family member; nowadays with the web it is much easier. Check many websites but be careful who you list with (and give out your personal information to); give out as much non-identifying information about yourself as you are comfortable with. Sometimes you don't realize the size of the hole in your life until you see that first confirmation that who you found is really who you were looking for. Gerry B  FOUND #5796

I am writing to express my gratitude to GS Adoption Registry.  From the moment I  contacted the registry, there were multiple people reaching out to me to help. I was given my birth record from Los Angeles County, and then found out there were multiple birth certificates due to errors in filings. I have been searching for my birth family since I was 19 and I am now 53. My birth was covered up on my mother's side and nobody knew on my fathers side except for my dad. When I did pop into their lives, there were many people who came forward and said they knew of me, but never knew what happened to me.  I was able to locate them through DNA, and as it turns out I have about eight Aunts and Uncles who were also adopted out during that time.  We all found each other through ancestry and DNA. I express my deepest gratitude for the efforts, the information, and the hope that you instilled in me so that I could continue.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart-you are angels doing God's work...

I'm so grateful for Vicki, my adoption angel. I feel like finding my biological family was done in record time. We had some great information from Canada's database to start with. But the way Vici was able to put the pieces together was fantastic. Being in the US I didn't have the same search results as she did. I'm forever grateful. I'm one of the lucky adopted kids that has a bio-family that was happy I found them and I'm looking forward to getting caught up on my last 40 years of my life with my and sharing the rest of my life with my other siblings and bio-mother.
Thank you so much. Allison  FOUND #5624

Thank You to G’S and all of the wonderful Search Angels, who helped me, encouraged me, did ground work for me due to me being 1200 miles from where I was born / adopted. They kept me grounded, and at some times, sane, thru the most difficult search I have ever been a part of! (my own!! It is so much easier, when ur searching for someone else, and the emotional attachment isn’t so intense). I love you Gary, and all the Angels, for all that you have done, that you do, and will continue to do for so many! It is such important work. I can also give anyone searching, some advice, that I wish I would have taken sooner, myself… get an ancestry DNA test!!!  I have a big, beautiful family now, that until recently,
I only hoped for!  Love, Terri F  FOUND #5517

I would like to personally thank G'S for the work they have done, they are truly angels. Because of the names they provided me I was able to confirm on 8-9-2017, which of them is my birth brother. I personally met him on 8-13, and he did know he was adopted. I only spent fifteen minutes with him. He had a wonderful life and great loving parents. I am very happy for him. I have to respect his wishes, he is not interested that I am his birth sister. He was very kind and nice when speaking with me and even gave me a hug. So I need to be happy that he is FOUND and that I can at least put a face to the birth brother I never knew or had the pleasure of knowing. I will carry a piece of him in my heart forever.
Thank you so very much, Deborah H, Warren, Ohio FOUND #5226

I am writing this email to tell you about my successful union with my biological family thanks to G'S Adoption Registry.com and the wonderful angels of G'S!  I was adopted right from the hospital and I've always known I was adopted.  The agency told my adoptive parents that my birth parents were only 19 years old and couldn't afford to give me a good life. The agency also told my parents my nationality background. However, at age 52, I wondered if what I thought I was told I was nationality wise was actually true. When I sent in a DNA test, I never ever thought it would bring me to finding my biological family. I posted on Facebook that I was submitting a DNA test and that's where this all started. One of my friends told me that the Governor of New Jersey, the state I live in, had unsealed adoption records and I could request a copy of my original birth certificate. And when that came in the mail, there is was - my birth mother's name, age and where she was from - Kansas. Kansas?!  I always figured my biological parents were from New Jersey. After doing a little digging on my own on the internet, I came across G'S Adoption Registry and registered all of my information.  I emailed with the angels and they founds my uncle's obituary which had my birth Mom's name listed in it and that she now had a female partner.  The angels had previously founds my birth Father's obituary. The angels also provided me with email addresses, addresses and phone numbers. From here, I searched Facebook and found who I thought was my birth Mom, her partner, and who I thought might be a brother. The angels tried calling the phone number for my birth Mom and no one answered. I exchanged several emails with the angels asking for their advise on how to proceed and they are always so encouraging!  Finally I got up enough courage to make the call myself to that phone number in Kansas. I got my Mom's voice mail and left a message with my name, that I was from NJ, and I was looking for Dee Johnson who I thought I might be related to.  Surely when Dee heard this message she should know who I am - right ? A few weeks went by without a return call. Over the 4th of July week while vacationing with good friends, I told them this story. My friends Laura and her mom Jean said that I was crazy that I wasn't doing more!  I should reach out to the guy I thought was my brother.  He would surely want to know me! I was afraid of upsetting people's lives....what if he didn't know....what if Dee and my Dad never told anyone else about me ? So for the next couple of weeks and deliberated over this in my mind...until July 18th. Now here's the crazy part!  My brother, John, had looked into his family history around 10 years ago and found something on a Swedish website listing the birth of another sibling.  When he asked his mom about it, she didn't really answer the question.  Well, just about the time I had left that voice message, John asked him mom again.  Mom said let's sit down and talk. And that is when she told John about him actually having a sister that was given up for adoption. It just so happened that simultaneously, without each of us knowing it, we were searching for each other!  John went to work right away with the information he had and began to search for me.  It took him a few days and there I was on G'S Registry! Along with the separate email address that G'S suggests you create. He immediately emailed me, Facebook friended me, and IM'd me through Facebook. That was about 2 weeks to the DAY I had that conversation with my friends Laura and her mom Jean. I just so happened to check my separate email account to see if the angels had sent me anything else and there was an email from John Johnson! I immediately knew who he was.  I was crying and shaking at my desk at work. That was July 18th and since then not a day has passed that John, my 100% biological brother, and I don't see, text or talk to each other. He came to New Jersey and I went to Kansas. While John was here he met his other brother, my adoptive brother, his wife and son and so many friends!  I went to Kansas and met my biological Mom, Dee, and her beautiful partner Marjorie, my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin Ben and his fiance Randas. I am crying tears of joy as I write this.  A couple of other crazy parts of this story is that my birthday is July 26th. John arrived in NJ on July 27th.  Talk about the best birthday present ever?! And John lives in South Korea and he just happened to be visiting Mom in Kansas for the timing of all of this.  Also, to update this story from the start, my DNA test came back with the exact nationality the adoption agency told my adoptive parents I was and that story about the couple of two 19 year olds who wanted to give their daughter a better life was 100% true.  And I am sorry to report that 2 weeks later our Mom passed - God called our Mom home to him. But I got to meet her. We hugged each other and told each other, "I love you". Truly an amazing gift. If this hadn't happened when it did, I would have never meet my biological Mom. Due to John being in South Korea, we will have a memorial service for Mom in October when John, his wife (my new sister-in-law) and his daughter (my new niece) can make it to Kansas. I will go to Kansas too and we, as a family with Marjorie and others, will mourn our loss. If timing of these events is divine.  I would have never met my birth Mom, my brother John and all of my other family (there are still a bunch of cousins to meet) if it hadn't been for G'S Adoption Registry and the beautiful angels and what I believe is God's will. I am truly blessed and grateful. I could have never imagined such gifts. I have been wanting to write this email for quite some time and I finally made the time to do so today. And one gift that we could have never imagined from all of this is that when we share our union story, it makes people feel good.  What we are so blessed to have is helping others.
Thank you everyone at G'S Adoption Registry for bringing this family together!

Halloween will never be the worst holiday for me….our son made initial contact with us on October 31, 2016. We are over 8 months into our reunion and we are both still over the moon.  So much so, for mothers day he got me a tattoo with a moon… It has not been the easiest of times, but so worth the effort we are both putting into it. I love that young man with all my heart. As much as the day he was born, and more.  His full brother and sister are making strides in their relationship as well….and my husband just loves the fact we are all together.  He lived 2 hours away, and had 5 kids. So our grandbaby count went off the charts. Grandma is thinking of going back to work to afford them all.  Thankful  every day.  Nancy  FOUND #5171

There are not enough words to say how thankful I am for the assistance of the search angels at G'S Adoption Registry. This dedicated group of people put time and effort into helping me, a complete stranger, get the answers I had been hoping to find. Thank you so much for your great registry and your terrific search angels, especially Lisa.
She was amazing!  I'm guessing she must be the best searcher you have, and I have no problem believing she is, indeed, an angel.
First of all, I wouldn't have known that the state of NJ was finally going to release original birth certificates as of January 1 this year if Lisa hadn't notified me of the change a couple months ago. The laws sealing adoptions in NJ were water tight and I had no information to search with.  In less than 2 hours after sending Lisa my newly obtained original birth certificate she was able to let me know my birth mother's first and last names, birthplace and some preliminary family info.Sadly, my mother is deceased, but after a few hours Lisa had located several close relatives and phone #s.  They are starting to make contact since I reached out to them.  I already have so many answers and information I always wanted.  Without G'S Adoption Registry and their excellent assistance I have serious doubts that I would ever have found anyone related to me.

Hello, my name is Kathy F.

I was looking for my adopted nephew Terry Miller which I posted on your site on 7-11-2015.
I can’t thank you enough, but I found him through the use of your site. It has been around 37 years since I have seen or heard from him. He was located and plan to meet his biological parents and extended family. I am so elated and look forward to meeting him and his family. It has been nearly nine months since the posting that I was contacted. Again. Thank you,  Thank you and Thank you.
I hope many other families who are searching for their families are successful also.

Thank you for helping to lead me to the resources necessary for finding my birth mother.  I also discovered 5 living (at the time in 2010) siblings, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.  I met first with my older sister in Oklahoma August 2010.  She and hubby have been married 49 years now, myself and my wife 48 years. With those good and long marriages in common, my big sis and I became close very quickly, and remain so today. She calls me “little bro” and I call her “big sis”.  She told us that after 62 years of knowing 4 of her siblings, but never wanting to have them in her life, she was overwhelmed when I found her because now she actually has “a little brother to love with all my heart, share my life and spend time with.” I met my remaining 4 siblings in southern California during August 2011 and was very disappointed.  Each had made personal bad decisions, things in their lives that my wife and I didn’t want brought into our home, marriage, or family.  One brother passed away during our visit due to his lifestyle choices.  I haven’t seen or heard from those three remaining siblings since February 2012.  I know my brother lives in Germany, but big sis and I have no idea where the two remaining siblings may be, or if they are still living due to their respective lifestyles.  I visited with my birth mother during September 2011, she was then 83 years old and in an Oregon assisted living center. She shared a portion of her life with me and that is when I realized how blessed big sis and I were to have been given away. My birth mother revealed that each of we six children had different fathers, and my ‘adoptive’ dad was actually my birth dad, something he told me eight months prior to his passing in 2000.  So at the age of 61 years I finally discovered the identities of, and met with my birth mother and 5 siblings.  The good that came out of those meetings was the blessing of a wonderful, loving big sister, and the realization that the Lord had blessed me greatly when He led my birth mother to give me up for adoption to my birth dad and his wife, two of the best parents any child could have, and am very relieved that I wasn’t raised by my birth mother.  Instead, I was raised in a home filled with tremendous love, compassion and caring.  My birth dad and adoptive mom were the best parents ever!

My sister gave up a son at birth in the 60’s. Young, unmarried, wanting only the best life possible for him. I found your website and put in the info that I had and received a notice that an angel had found him within days!!  Told my sister, she was hesitant as she didn’t want to intrude on his life, and she thought the info she had given the agency way back then was sufficient for him to find her, which wasn’t true.    Your angels gave me good advice about how to approach him if we decided to do so.  I (unknown to my sister) contacted his wife via Facebook, just casually saying we were doing some geneology research and was anyone in her family adopted.  She got back to me right away, we messaged back and forth for a day, I could tell they knew and I knew, so I gave her my phone number.  They called and it was amazing!  We talked and laughed for about 45 minutes, and ended with me giving him my sister's phone number in case he wanted to contact her. As with many adoptees, he loves his mom who adopted him and didn’t want to upset her, so he decided to give this some thought.
Told my sister what had happened, she was so pleased and was content knowing he had a wonderful life.
A few days later he called her!
They had a great conversation with his kids included!
We are all friends on Facebook now, happy to have gotten this opportunity to connect.
Thank you for the amazing work on behalf of adoptees and their birth families.

To Gary and the Staff of G'S Adoption Registry.  Chuck was placed for adoption in 1956, he had wondered for years about his parents, even made up stories in his mind who or what they were. Fast forward several years passed.. his adopted parents pass away and he thinks it's time.. after a few loss leads.. it went on the back burner again.. Forward to April 2015, our son was in a very serious jeep rollover accident, after 38 total days in the hospital and on the road to a long recovery, Chuck said " Cindy, find my parents, find my mom". So I contacted to Children's Home Society got the information they were allowed to send ..it wasn't much.. I found G'S Adoption Registry online, sent a email within a couple of hours got a message from Gary, said to fill out the form and they would get to work on it. UNBELIEVEABLE within 12 hours.. we had all his birth father's information.. and within 48 hours we had all the information we need to contact his birth mother.. Even though he learned his birth father had passed in 1988, his birth mother is living 3 hours away from us, we are awaiting on word if she has agreed to meet him. But in the meantime, he has spoken to his aunt {his birth mother's sister} in Florida, learned so much about his birth mother and has been invited to their next family reunion {July 2016}.   We have also been in contact with Chuck's half-sister in Washington. We know there are 4-5 more brothers/sisters out there.. and we'll continue to look. Different birth mother's but all the same birth father.. Richard Walter Garness. I give Gary and his Staff 5 Star Rating.. so very professional, and caring. So if you are looking for that loved one.. let these guys help you.. UNBELIEVEABLE !!!!!   How do you say thank you to a group of people that volunteer their time in hopes you'll get to meet that special family,  you knew was out there somewhere.. just didn't know where to look. You do what I did...give a donation and a great big THANK YOU !!

So after thirty years of wondering and over twenty years of posting on sites and wondering where exactly did I come from, the day of closure and new doors opening arrived. I had been blessed with being placed with a wonderful husband and wife who had great hearts and souls and were the best mother and father a child could ask for.  As probably with most adoptees there was that little twinge in the pit of my stomach that told me I didn't quite "fit" in and that there was something more.  Around age ten I was told that I was adopted, something I think I had already known for some time.  Most would think that would be a heartbreaking moment, but it wasn't, simply because of the home life I was blessed with to be a part of.  Into my adult years, especially after joining the military, I would wonder, who are my parents, do I have siblings, do they know about me, and do they even care?  This prompted me to begin posting at every site that I could find in hopes that someone was looking for me.  As each day, month, and year went by, it was obvious, I wasn't being looked for.  With that, it makes you think things.  Was I the result of something bad?  With no answers and no place to start, so many things run through your mind. I was born in Rhode Island and they at the time had a law in place in which you could not get your original birth certificate that included both the biological mother/father's names.  Thankfully, with pressure from hundreds if not thousands of adoptees, that law was changed and I finally had something more to go on than just the state I was born in. This enabled me to provide G's with a bit more information concerning my birth parents and a wonderful Search Angel named "Lisa".  She was able to find some details and possible connections via Ancestry and suggested I check it out.  Thank you "Lisa" for that suggestion. I found three individuals who were developing family trees which included the name of my birth mother/father.  After thinking long about it, I decided to send them a message with my story, letting them know I did not wish to disrupt anyone's life or open any wounds there may have been with my pursuit of answers. Within a day I had received two emails stating that they were indeed relatives of both of them, however, the family was very closed and they had never really had any contact with any of them, or had much information on them. A little down in the dumps at that news, I thought, ok, that's it, at least you know who they were and that at least answers that question, which is much more than I've had the last twenty years. Two days later, I noticed that there was a third email.  Huh, must be time for some more bad news or no information at all. The first line of the email stated, "I've been waiting a long time for this and looking forward to this day for many years" She sent me her phone number and twelve hours later I was talking with one of THREE of my sisters!  I believe she had more questions and was more excited than I was.  As we talked, she let me know that I also have a brother.   Oh, and he lives near her!  We talked for nearly three hours. I'll close this out now as I will ramble on page after page from all the excitement.  I can't thank G's and "Lisa" enough for what they do.  I know not every adoptee story turns out as planned, which leads me to offering a suggestion.  Don't have a plan.  Do what you can, when you can, and with an open mind and heart the whole time.  Do what you can to not get the "Cinderella" story in your mind.  Take it slow, take it easy, know that the discovery of someone they may have not known existed just popped onto their radar screen.  Thankfully my sister was very open and understanding.  My sister, huh, that has a nice ring to it. Thank you Gary, "Lisa", and everyone else that puts so much effort into this noble cause.
God Bless you and keep you.

This is to say thanks to the very special people that helped me find my birth siblings. I know why we call them angels. They truly are used by God to reunite families. My search went fast. I know most don't. A week from me putting my application in G'S I was on the phone with my birth sisters. We are bonding very quickly. We talk on the phone daily. There are 5 of us alive. All girls. I am the youngest. The 2 oldest and I have plans to meet in October. I will meet the other two when I go for a move into their part of the country.I don't feel like a stranger I feel like a sister. If you are searching follow up on even the smallest leads. You never know how the puzzle of your life will look and the smallest piece can lead you to a bigger one. My biggest advice is don't expect anything. If it is meant to be just be yourself. I almost loved them all as soon as we spoke. All differently but equally. My fav thing is they all call me sissy coz I am youngest. I could not be happier.  This site is the best because they truly care about you here.

Dear Gary, Sandy, and to all the other Search "Angels" that help you run your Angel Express,

My Name is L J Chandler, and I am 47 yrs old, and I have been searching for my mother for over 40 years. One thing that has stopped me in finding her is some dates were recorded wrong considering her age, and marriage and divorce records. My mother left my life when I was approximately 4 years old. I have very few memories of her, but I do remember that she used to hold me. I used to cry myself to sleep when I was a child waiting for that special day when I would see her again. As I began to grow, and get older, I began to wonder. Does she love me? Is she looking for me? Does she want me in her life? About 4th grade I was adopted by a step Mother. I lived with her and my birth father growing up, always wondering on Mother's day where she was and if she was okay.
I eventually grew up, got married, and lived a somewhat normal life. But there has always been a whole in my heart for my mother. I missed her, I needed her, and I loved her no matter what the case may have been some 43 yrs ago. I searched far and wide, got online and searched, and every time I went to California, I searched every phone book I could find. I called some ladies with the same name, I went to their houses and knocked on doors. While polite, and understanding, and hopeful for me, they were not my mother.About a year ago I really started to look at my life. I had to do something drastic. I was scared time was running out and that she may have passed on. I contacted several California County records offices. I made a plea to state my case. In many instances the door was slammed in my face. They were not rude, it was just that I did not have enough information for them to help me. I looked on some sites with family trees, I looked at hospital records, marriage and divorce records, and then I waited. The replies were for wrong dates leading to the wrong people.I do not talk with my father and he turned 73 on 8-2 On 8-3-15 I started to really get upset inside. Upset that I did not have a real true Birth Mother in my life I stayed up 4 days searching online. My wife was wondering what I was doing. I told her I had to know, I had to find out. Was she dead or alive? If alive did she want me in her life? If dead had she ever mentioned me? Do I have brothers or sisters? All of these things went racing through my head and then my heart. I talked to my sister who I had not talked to in nearly 20 years. She gave me some information, and together we set out to find my mother. On 8-7-15 I came across this site. I was very skeptical at first. I mean I had filled out information like this over 100 times before. Then I read through the site. I thought please let this be the one's to help me. So I filled out the site form, and emailed it off. Within 2 hrs I had an email back, basically a welcome email welcoming me to the site, and some pointers to get ready to start the process of finding a loved one. I went to bed, when I woke up on 8-8-15 there was an email from Gary, asking some personal information. I answered the best that I could, after all I had no idea about my mother.FOUND      At approximately 3-4 pm I was out running errands on 8-8-15. I received an email from Sandy, a search Angel. She explained that who she thought would be my mother was born between 1947 and 1948 and that she found a record from divorce, and a new record that I had never seen before for a new marriage with my last name. She found a facebook profile, an address and a phone #. I pulled into a 7-11 to get gas. I sat there reading my phone, reading this email over and over. I began to cry., just like I am now explaining this to you. I clicked the facebook link. I saw a picture. I pulled the only single picture I had of my mother. It looked like her. Amazing a photo from 47 years ago, and looking at a photo from about 1-2 years ago. I had to agree. I thought I would get gas and go home and share this with my wife. I decided it was something I had to do on my own. I hit the link to call. I tried to keep my composure, I really did. But by the time I said I think and hope that you are my Mother, I broke down again. I left a message for her.I sent emails through facebook. Then I waited what seemed like forever, but was only just 4 hrs. I called again this time I did not leave a message. I told my wife I was going to lay down. I was exhausted both physically and mentally. About 10 minutes later she called me back. I took the phone from my wife, I said hello, she said she was in fact my Mother. The one who I have been searching for. We talked and cried and talked some more. The next day we video chatted and have done so every day. I live 2500 miles away from her. But I will be going to visit her soon. I am sorry that this is so long, but I wanted people to know, the ones who share my same story, who have lived their life just like me, always wondering, with a part of them missing, the ones who are searching for a Mother, a Father, a Brother, a Sister, and Son or Daughter. I want everyone, yes the whole World to know, YOU NEED TO FILL OUT THE FORM. Hi.. My name is Amy P and I recently was reunited with my birth mother, half birth sister and half birth brother.  Thanks to G'S Adoption Registry and their Search Angels !! I had been procrastinating for years to find my birth mother because of the fear I was a "secret" or the fear of rejection. Was I ever wrong!! I got the info pretty quick from the search Angels then I sat and wrote a letter! She contacted me immediately when she received it! I finally feel I "fit" in... Even though I was adopted by a great family who never made me feel different, there always seemed to be something missing! Thank you so much!!! 43 years old and I feel my life is complete!!!! God Bless what you guys do! You have made my dreams a reality! With gratitude, Amy P  FOUND #4304.

After sixty-one years of wondering what happened to our little sister, and after years of internet searching, my siblings and I are thrilled to announce that we have been reunited with her.  This is thanks to G'S Adoption Registry and its wonderful angels.   We had little to go on and had been posting at various internet sites to no avail.  But within forty-eight hours of posting on G’S Adoption Registry, we received a lead that looked promising. We followed up on that lead and received the greatest gift we could ask for---our missing sister!  And she had been trying to discover who her birth mother was, but had no idea she had  brothers and a sister who have loved and missed her for sixty-one years!  Needless to say, everyone is overjoyed.  DNA tests have confirmed what we all knew in our hearts within fifteen minutes of talking and exchanging photos.  We all feel truly blessed to find each other and discover in-laws and nephews and nieces as well.
Again, thanks to G’S Adoptive Registry and its angels for the making this dream come true possible.

A GIANT Thank You goes out to everyone on G'S Adoption registry site.  I started searching in September 2014 for my Birth Mother and almost 3 months to the date found her.  As a bonus she only lived 2 hours away and was absolutely thrilled I reached out and we met for the first time 11-22-2014.  My Birth Father unfortunately had passed away in 2007 but I'm now lucky enough to be in contact with his sister.  Even though she had no clue I existed she's also thrilled I reached out to her.   G'S Adoption registry not only has fantastic volunteers who help every step of the way but their site has great info and tips on how to go about searching as well as sample letters to use when making contact for the first time.
These tools have been invaluable in my search as I had no clue where to start and for me, making a cold call wasn't an option (too nervous). Thank you again for everything.
I will keep passing along this website to anyone who mentions they're searching for their birth family.

My sister found us through your registry.  Words simply can't express how thankful we all are.
After almost 10 years of searching, she found my registration on this site and sent me an email.
You have given my mother peace.  Something I was afraid she would never find in her life time.
Our family is whole again. Thank you so much.
This thank you just isn't enough to show you the depth of my gratitude.
I thank God for you and everyone on your team.  You are helping to heal broken hearts.

Hi, My name is Kristin and I just wanted to reach out and thank your site for having an amazing search engine. My birth mother had recently found me on your site.  I have been searching for about 14 years now and in 2006 I enrolled on your site and thank god I did.  My birth mother just googled "babies born in New York City on December 10th 1972" and you were the 3rd or 4th site on list.

A HUGE thank you to Gary, Lisa, Heather, and anyone else who worked on this case.
Very professional people who found my birth mother in a matter of days once I had my information in the system.  They were discreet about their search, and Lisa even made the first contact calls on my behalf.  I am now also in communication with an aunt and have information on half birth siblings and other extended family.  Have to say this is one of the most emotional experiences on the planet!!  WOW!

I have found my birth mother with the help of G'S Search Angels!!!
I have only been searching in earnest since January.
As I gathered info and passed it on immediately the Angels came back with leads!
Finally last week all the info I had pointed to one person. I friended her on Facebook and she added me back and I sent her an email if she could help me out and gave my date and location of birth.
She then just had me verify a few key details and we knew we found each other!
We are both happy beyond words to reconnect!
I never had expectations but this is something I have wished for and dreamed about all my life!
Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart! Beth M Registry FOUND #4011

With the help of G’S Search Angels I was able to locate my birth family! After 5 years of searching through the “proper channels from the state” and finding absolutely nothing!! I stumbled across this website! I gave what little information I had which was basically my birth information and that I had two siblings, and yall ran with it! Within a week yall found her! When I first got to the Facebook page you sent me I was obviously skeptical, and not wanting to get my hopes up, but within minutes there was no longer any doubts!! I have had in my possession a small teddy bear / bunny thing that winds up in the back and plays a lullaby with a tag that reads love your birthmother. Very few people even know that I have it. The first picture I saw was of Michelle holding a newborn with this little bear sitting on top that looked just like mine. With my mom on the phone and keeping me calm I sent the message to her asking about the bear. Her reply scared me a little at first, because she said that she couldn’t remember because she had given birth earlier than expected and that her adoption agent bought it for her to give to the baby. I kept looking through pictures posted on the page and there it was. My golden ticket so to say. It was a picture of me sitting in the chair in my mom’s front room when I was nearly 6 months old. My next question to her was more specific, I asked if the picture of the little girl sitting in the chair was one that the adoptive mother sent her. Her reply left me with chills. It was the last thing she received from the adoption agency before it was closed. I can’t imagine my life without her now. Within a few months I met my youngest sister and then the rest of the family shortly after. I have found a part of myself that I had feared I would never find. A piece of my story that makes me feel whole. I have a family that has been looking for me all these years and has loved me even without knowing me waiting for the day I might find them. I owe it all to you and tis wonderful website! Thank  you for each and every one of you. Thank you for starting this page and doing this amazing thing you’ve done!! Thanks, Allie A

I have amazing news !  I heard from Dave and he is my birth brother !. I can hardly sit still about it. We have made contact and Dave is very excited. The entire family has embraced Dave and all a buzz with Dave on Facebook. Each of his siblings (three older brothers, me and one little sister) have spoken to him on the telephone and Facebook. All the rest of the family have messages him and he is loving it. He has searched for us too but the fake name our mother used was Kaiser, and it threw everything off for him. We are very blessed that we have had this kind of outcome and that Dave is the kind of person he is because it has been wonderful and of course overwhelmed.  You were right the database was wrong. On Dave's Facebook he has a photo album titled 50th birthday and the pics were posted in 1960 and he looks like our birth mother so even before he wrote back my birth sister and I both knew he was our birth brother, There are no words that can express my gratitude Sandy. To say thank you does not give justice to how my heart feels about you. You changed our lives for the rest of our lives and the gratitude is beyond measure. Thanks for everything  Lora  FOUND #3994

When you've given up hope and accepted the fact you'll never know that's when you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and make the time to take the first step. Nothing is impossible. Don't fight it, deny it, take no for an answer or settle for anything less than the truth. I'm 51 years old and though I had given up I never lost hope or desire to know who I am. When I found how easy it was to get my non-certified Birth Certificate what a fool I was to let my fear deny me what took only 5 minutes. on my computer and 3 weeks to get in the mail...Since 10-1-2013, (18 days) My search angel changed my life forever by not only finding who my birth parents were but found I have 3 birth brothers, 2 birth sisters by blood and 1 half-birth brother, 2 half-birth sisters. I have spoken to my 3 birth brothers, both birth sisters and there's no words to describe it all. My search angel is truly an angel on this earth...

If you were adopted and you wonder who your birth parents are you owe it to yourself to know the truth.   Some states have sealed adoption records, don't let that stop you.  G'S Search Angels know where to look for information and may be able to help you as they did me. I was adopted twice in my life. The first family didn't work out well for me and at the age of 15 I was in foster care. I was taken in by a family who helped me get back on my feet again and provided stability. At 47 years of age I looked back and wondered who were my birth parents; then I found G'S Adoption Registry. Within days of filling out the form I was provided with information of my birth parents. Come to find out they were 17 & 18 when I was born, he was entering the Marines and she was going to college. Later in life my birth parents married and had two other children. I'm so glad I signed up for the Adoption Registry; in a month I will fly to meet my birth parents, a brother, and a sister for the very first time. A new chapter in my life will be written and I'm looking forward to writing it. A huge question in my life has been answered and I owe it to G'S Search Angels!   Kevin   FOUND  #3841

I signed up at G'S on 5-2-2013. My adoptive parents had given me the information they had on my birth father & birth mother. My birth mother was 16 years old in 1957 when I was born. It took me 56 years to finally start the search, and I now know I have 3 (half) sisters. They found out about me in 2011 and had posted on another adoption registry (ARC) For some reason it didn't come up on Google search until after I made contact with them ??? I had a lot if help from G'S Search Angels, God bless them all! I found my birth mothers address and then found out about my sisters. I decided to contact my sisters first, as I wasn't sure if my birth mother would receive it  well (fear of rejection, maybe). After about 6 weeks I noticed 2 messages on my iPhone voicemail with #s I didn't recognize. I listened to the first one and it was my youngest little sister. She left her name and number and said "we won't refuse you, please call me". The second vm was from the middle sister and she was so excited...she's the one that posted on the other adoption search registry in 2011. She said "we've been looking for you for a long time, call me. You have one more sister, the oldest, born in 1958. I called both of them and they were so excited and so loving and kind! They said that Mom may not want any part of it, but not to worry, I had my maternal Grandma who is 94 and wants to meet. Later that evening my sister that is only a year younger than me called and we talked, too! We've been communicating every week, all 3 of us, and I even got to talk to Grandma! Then, one day I was driving between jobs and a blocked call came thru on my cell phone. I usually don't answer them, but for some reason I had my Bluetooth on and I took the call. The voice on the other end said "is this Tim? I said "yes, it is". She said " this is Cecilia" ( my Mom)! We talked for a half hour, and she said she very much wanted to meet me. We only live about 3 hrs. apart, in Northern California. I was her firstborn, and her only son. She calls me a couple times a week, and on 10-12-2013, she had the oldest daughter Diana and her husband Clay bring her up to meet me! It was waaay cool. I met my mom, my oldest little sister, and my brother-in-law! They are very sweet and loving, honest, down to earth people. Their oldest daughter is a Dr. at UC Davis Medical Center and the youngest, both my nieces, is a dental hygienist. I keep in contact with my other two little sisters weekly, and am going to meet them all for Thanksgiving and staying with them for 5 days! They live up in the Sierra foothills south of Sacramento, CA up out of Lodi, about 3 hrs.,40 mins. from me! My mom lives in Susuin City by Fairfield, CA. I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving Day and that weekend. I'm going down the Wed. before Thanksgiving. It has been a totally great experience, and G'S and their Search Angels have helped immensely. Thank You, and I thank God for this very exciting and happy, joyous time in my life. My daughter gave me my first grandchild, a girl, who all of my family and new family members love and have accepted them as a part of the family as if we've always known each other! Couldn't have asked for a better outcome! My son just got engaged, and now he has a new grandma, great grandma, aunts, and first cousins and first cousins once removed! And I have a bunch of nieces and a nephew and grandnieces and grandnephews! Thank You again, G'S !  Don't ever give up!!!  FOUND  #3807

I wanted to say THANK YOU to all the angels who helped me in my search. I am 69 years old and had never searched before this Spring. I knew I was born in Kansas City, MO, knew the name of the home and thought I knew my birth name. I had other information for a long time but it was lost. I hadn't searched earlier because my mother would not have understood. One day this Spring I looked up the home I was born in and there it was. Thru researching that I found the GS Adoption Registry. I signed up. Immediately I heard from Anna who stayed with me thru the entire process and directed me to other angels who went way beyond in their searches. I had to write 3 times for non-id information from the home and finally got that. That could have been enough for me because it told me a lot about my birth mother. I found a lot online and Anna suggested I contact the rest of the angels with the non-id information because they all have specialties and might see something there that would help.  Well, on a Monday I sent the information to all the angels. At 6:30 a.m. that Tues. all the way until 9 pm that night I got emails all day long. After just 2 emails they had figured out who my birth mother was from her age, the amount of children she had, where she had lived, etc. I was absolutely in shock.  Of course by my age, both birth parents are deceased. Two birth brothers are deceased. There are two birth sisters but I've been unable to locate them. But I found a cousin in Tulsa, Oklahoma and actually visited him this past month. He said I looked just like my birth mother. We had a wonderful visit and we exchange letters every week. Thru him I located two cousins living in Missouri and have talked to both on the phone. I hope to visit them one day. I have sent many letters, some have come back, but one young man called me who would be my nephew. His dad would have been my brother. He had just been to California where my birth mother moved and died.  He had visited an aunt on his mother's side and she filled him in on what happened in my case. It was rather sad, not a happy story, but it gave me closure. I think things were pretty tough back when I was born and she felt she had no choice. Luckily, I was adopted by parents who truly loved me and I had a good life. I never was looking for a family; I had one. But I was curious and did wonder about medical issues too. I am so grateful to all the angels. I got such encouraging words from so many and so much information. I just appreciated all of them so much.  I'm still waiting to see if I can get my records.  There was no record of my final adoption in Kansas City nor St. Louis County or City.  The last I've heard was that my amended birth certificate could have been sent to the Dept. of Health in Jefferson City. If they can prove my birth parents are deceased (my mother would be 100 and my father 120), I can now get my records thanks to a change in the law in 2011. So my curiosity is answered and I feel at peace now.  I don't have to wonder any more.  Thank you all of you angels.  You are wonderful!  You do this with such love and support.  I wanted to give up several times and Anna just kept encouraging me to keep looking, showed me everyone had these feelings.

Blessings to all of you!  FOUND #3800  Dianne M.

My mother and I began our search for my brother about 15 years ago, we sent letters to the area (Washington DC) vital statistics dept. But they could not open the adoption records. Since that time, my mother passed away, but I continued my search. I promised her that I would find him, and I did!! I had gone to several adoption registry web sites, there are so many out there, and then I found G'S. I posted what little information I had, which was a date of birth, the parent's names, and the area in which the adoption took place. Meanwhile, my brother that was put up for adoption, had been looking for his birth mother for many years. Last Tuesday (6-18-2013) he was sitting on his couch in Winston-Salem, NC watching tv when all of a sudden something came over him and he went to his computer and googled "8-28-1965, adoption, Washington DC" and to his surprise, your web site came up with the information I had posted. He saw our mother's name, and googled that, where he found her obituary. Listed in her obituary were all her children's names and the cities in which they lived, so he started going through the phone books for each name and city trying to find our phone numbers. I am the only one of us with a home phone, and it is a listed number, so he called my home phone several times before he left a message. He told me his name and that he found some information on the G'S web site that matched some information that he had. When I listened to the message, my heart stopped beating! I knew just from the sound of his voice that he was the brother I had been searching for!! After calling my husband and calming down, I called him back, we talked for about an hour, during our conversation we friended each other on Facebook, and looking through his pictures, I knew that I had found him! He looks so much like our father it took my breath away. Well like I said, he was looking for his birth mother, he had no idea that he had 5 full blooded brothers and sisters, and that both his mother and his father had gone back down to Washington DC to try to get him back! We were trying to decide what the next step was, I was thinking that maybe the following weekend we could all try to get together to meet, but he said "No, I have been waiting for this for almost 48 years, I'm not waiting another day!" So he got into his car and made the 7 1/2 hour trip to my home in Lebanon, OH. I cannot put into words the feelings that went through me over the next 3 days (that's how longed he stayed with me before going back home) We laughed, we cried, we answered so many unanswered questions, he met the rest of our brothers and sisters, except 1, who lives 1 1/2 hours from him!!! Thank you so much to all of you who volunteer to reunite families! You have forever changed our lives! That empty space inside me is now filled, and I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life!!! Thank you so much for helping me find my brother, and for letting me tell you our story!!  Cindy M  FOUND #3773

Dear Gary, I was in search of my birth sister while my mom was still alive. Mom only knew the birthdate, hospital name and gender.  I provided what little info I did have and within the month I got a message from search angel Michelle asking me to verify the names and ages of mom's siblings. She also asked me to call an adoption agency to verify that my mom did place a child with them. Once I provided my angel with the details she needed she had my birth sister's info within minutes.  I did get a response from my birth sister. She was shocked and overwhelmed and wasn't ready for us.  She was very compassionate toward my mother and thanked her for her decision to adopt. She has a happy life and a family of her own. That alone makes my search worthwhile. I signed up with 3 online agencies and this agency was the only one who didn't ask for money. They also are the only one's to find her. Once my birth sister was found I was happy to make a donation. It makes me wonder how much money the registries who never search make off of all the $10  fees they charge just to join.  I have recommended this site to my friends. You truly are the only site that does what you do and you do it well. I was really impressed with how they helped me.

Hello Gary This is Annora R I just wanted to update my info and thanks to G'S Adoption Registry.
I found my father, he gave me my birth mothers first name and one of G'S search angels found my birth mothers family. It turns out my birth mother passed away in 1984. But my maternal grandmother is still alive and is 91 and was thrilled to hear from me. Also other birth family members (uncles & cousins) I also have 3 birth brothers and a birth sister. Regarding my birth father Gary S, the search angels provided me with his first name which I didn't know and his last known area he lived in and with more help of the G'S search angels I found his sister, and then I put ads in penny saver looking for him and got a call from his ex-girlfriend who I met and provided me with pictures of him. So I made flyers and passed them out all over Venice Beach where he was last known to be at and by the next morning he called me. I couldn't believe it!! We met a couple hours later and had a 3 hour visit with myself, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We are both so happy to find each other and talk to each other every day about 3 times a day.
I can't thank you enough for what G'S Adoption Registry has done!

I am delighted to share that I have found my birthmother. I was hesitant and skeptical about using an online service, but G'S Angels proved their worth. They are the best service and one you can fully trust to help and support your search. I was fortunate with a positive outcome. I also contacted the organization I was adopted through to assist in my search. They sent a letter to her asking her to respond, within two weeks of receiving the letter she did. They spoke for and hour and a half. The organization called me afterwards informing me of the details my birthmother wanted them to share with me. I was delighted but still felt a void in my heart.

The two angels I worked with dedicated their time and effort to locating my birthmother. I applaud them for their long hours they put in. When that glorious day arrived that I was informed they had located my birthmother, I was so excited, but scared at the same time. I waited for nine months before taking any action. I needed time to sort everything out and waited for God's guidance. On 3-1-2013, I mailed a non-informative letter to her asking her to identify her information and if my birthdate held special meaning to please contact me. Three weeks later, two days after my birthday, I received the most beautiful birthday card from her! A card I will treasure for the rest of my days.

Our reunion, if there should be one, will be slow in the making. Turns out she has lived only 75 minutes from where I was raised and grew up. A small world indeed. I have and will always respect her secrecy and with God's guiding hand, will hopefully be able to privately meet and celebrate. However, if this should be the last of our communication, I am content with the connection that we had made and will celebrate in our next life time.  I Love You Mother! Barbara FOUND #3673

Dear Gary, Sandy and Search Angels, What do I say to strangers who voluntarily changed the course of my life?  Thank you.  Thank you Gary for providing the opportunity for reunion to happen.   Thank you angels for sharing in this experience.   I wish there were really the words to express how all of us are feeling after the opportunity to mark my file FOUND.  With your help I met the daughter I had given up for adoption 37 years ago.  One week after receiving her name and other info from Sandy (my own very special search angel), I received an email back from my daughter asking for information to back up my claim of probably being her birth mom.  I wanted to talk; she was skeptical.  She wanted to talk, I pulled back.  We began a two day emailing sprint, my body flooded with adrenaline upon receiving every response.   We compared stories:  she was given my middle name; we were married on the same day; our youngest children share a name.  She asked why?  I sent her a letter I had written to her on her last birthday.   We shared raw and real emotions:  exhilarating, terrifying, heartwarming, and exhausting conversation, neither of us sleeping much.  Those first 36 hours culminated in a 3 hour Skype session, followed by an immense need on my part for rest.  We live thousands of miles apart, but a month later, we met; we hugged; we ate lots of food, and then, during our visit, the official confirmation letter arrived from the state documenting our connection which we already knew, all because of a name sent to me by an angel.

Hello Search Angels, You can mark my file "Found"! I called Charlotte today, she is my birth mother. We spoke for a few minutes and will speak again soon. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you all for what you do. I have gained a valuable sense of self. The love that I heard when Charlotte simply said, "My little girl." has set to right a place in me that has wondered and hurt for as long as I can remember. No matter where it goes from here I now know I was thought of often. Through a mutual friend she kept track of me during my younger years. At one point we lived within a few miles of each other! Your help brought to me a most precious gift.
Thank you.  Hope  FOUND #3561

In 2002, I had posted on another site for my daughter born 7-10-1968 at Booth Memorial Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. A very kind lady responded and provided the names of 2 possible sets of adoptive parents. I emailed both, but received no response. On 9-12-2010, while researching Ohio adoptions for someone else, I found my beautiful daughter thanks to her posting dated 6-9-2009 (which happened to be my birthday) on your Website!. I now have 4 previously-unknown grandchildren and was blessed last June with a delightful great-granddaughter. Laura had been searching for me since 1985 after 2 years of emailing back and forth, she visited me last month. We were amazed to find how much we have in common!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing the help we needed.

The long hard journey of searching for our niece is finally over!
We have the Search Angels to thank for that. I hit many dead end roads in trying to find her.
I sent in the information on Sept. 9th, 2012 and on Sept. 14th, 2012 received a phone call from Search Angels saying they found her.  What took me over 5 years took them hours.  We now have our niece back in our lives. There are not enough thank yous in this world that can cover this amazing expierence with the Search Angels.  I 100% say if you are looking for someone, this is place to be!!  My niece that the Search Angels have found now wants to become a Search Angel herself - due to this expierence....God Bless You All, Earl and Kristin  FOUND #3491

Miracles do happen! Due to the change in the RI adoption laws, allowing adoptees to obtain a copy of their original birth certificate, my birth son found me after 43 years. On the 1st day adoptees were allowed to do this, my birth son's aunt and I went to Vital Statistics and filled out medical history and contact information, which was attached to his bc. He is living in Arkansas and just happened to read the article about RI online.  He immediately sent away for the forms and in less than a week, he had his information and contacted me via email.  We then had a phone conversation and he and his wife are flying here next weekend! Thank you for all you do, and have faith.  Sincerely, Laureen F  FOUND #3482

"We no longer need to search.  We had registered with the Illinois Department of Public Health 5 years ago.  Unfortunately we were searching with an incorrect first name due to a family member's poor memory.  Our sister was unaware she was adopted till she was 24 years old.  She had never searched.  Her Mother did not want to discuss it and she respected her wishes.  A friend in Illinois recently talked her into registering with the Illinois Department of Public Health.  They called last Wednesday and by Saturday I had info in the mail from them and a phone call from our sister.  She says she grew up in a very loving family and wanted to let us know she had no regrets. However, she is so now happy to have a brother and a sister after being an only child. Even though we had an incorrect first name the rest of our info was accurate.  Eventually a connection may have been made.  I feel any search you make may help you toward your goal.  When I was reviewing info we received from all involved I actually saw her adopted name on a list from 3 years ago of people born where and when we were searching.  I fell like we did what we could with what we had.  It just takes patience and persverance. If you get frustrated give it a break.
We registered 5 years ago with the Registry and the Illinois office. We are all in our 60's but we are like kids talking to each other now. So do not give up hope!
Thanks everyone for all your help Biddy G  FOUND #3465

I looked them both up on facebook, only one was able to find, I fb him and his listed girlfirend and got no response, for 4 months, then one day out of the blue I get a fb message from the girlfriend saying that she would mention that a person looking for their son messaged her, well it was him, I have six other kids and he looks just like them,, he flew here to denver and spent 3 days with me and it was great. We are staying in contact and hope to see him on his birthday.. thank you for helping me...

Dear Gary and Search Angels, As my birth son and I sit here together we wanted to share our story with you to post. The posting was "Male 1992 born in Florida, Brandon Harley Griffin". I spoke to Gary on the phone and informed him that my son had found me, but now we would like to tell you all about the reunion. It did not take very long at all for him to find my post on your site. He simply went to google search and entered the name I gave him at birth along with his birth date and it took him right to my post! His name is now Robbie C. and he is 19 years old. I waited and prayed for the day that we would be reunited and it finally happened! It was on Tuesday morning, 1/17/12 when I received an email from him,I called him IMMEDIATELY! On Friday 1-20-2012 at 12:35 in the afternoon, I hugged my son for the first time in almost 20 years! We were both standing in the Fort Lauderdale airport crying our eyes out, holding each other so tight! He has been by my side since then and I do not plan on letting him out of my sight anytime soon! Hi, I want to thank you all deeply. I found my sister on 10-4. It was the most wonderful experience.
I had been searching for 15 years. Both my parents died without telling us. I posted my details and what little I knew on your website. In August my sister’s daughter (my new niece) did a trawl through several online search engines with what little facts she knew. Bingo! There was a hit! I had left my cell no there and she called me in the UK. The rest is beautiful history. I flew to N Y on 10-4 and she met me at JFK. We spent a few days walking and talking on the beach. I speak with her now by Skype or email nearly every day. Joyous!  The internet is a powerful tool but it needs facts to connect. I liken it to throwing crumbs into a lake. The fish will bite. But if there are no crumbs there will be no bites!
Thanks & all the best.  Owen G  FOUND #3165

Dear Gary,  Back in May of 2011, your search angels found my family. Unfortunately, my birth mother had died in 2001 and my half-brother died in 2009. Through the information that your wonderful and dedicated search angels found for me, I was able to contact my brother's wife Julia, and since then we have become wonderful friends. I traveled and visited her two years ago, and she gave me not only my birth certificate that she found, but also photo albums. Now here comes the sweetest part of the story. I decided to search for my first cousins who were from France.  Julia did not remember their names and gave me my birth mother's address book.  She did know the name of my aunt through marriage who had 3 children.  Julia did not know much more except that there was a relative in Australia. I started an internet search, and placed a message on Geneanet. Last August while I was on vacation, my cousin Constance sent me a message to my facebook account. When I did not respond, she thought she had the wrong person. Another distant cousin (who I met on the internet) e-mailed me with a family tree that included my birth mother stating that she thought she found my family. I contacted the e-mail associated with the family tree, and voila!  Constance and I connected. We have exchanged e-mails weekly since that time, I have written to her mom (my 1st cousin) who lives in France and also my other cousin who lives in Australia. Constance stayed with me last month, and I am going to France in July for a family reunion. All my cousins ( including my Australia family) will be there. ....I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this website has been, and how precious you and your angels are to me. I always have you in my prayers, and if it was not for you, I would never be taking this trip to discover my ancestry! God bless each of you and I send a hug and prayer to you today in thanksgiving for all you have done! Warmest wishes, Madeline M  FOUND #3101
