All Other Information: Baby girl born 5-5-1990 to Teri O'Dell. Parents forced birth mother to give up the baby. I don't think our birth son's name was on the birth certificate since she is now 26 years old and he was only recently told about her. His rights were violated I guess as he was never given his right to be the baby’s father. Birth father was not informed that birth mother was pregnant. Jim went into the Navy and Teri vanished from the Omaha, Nebraska area. Teri says that her parents took her to Kansas somewhere to a group home but she doesn't know what city or where it was. She was only 17 years old at the time of the birth of her baby. Her parents wanted her to abort the baby but her sister talked her parents into letting her go away and have the baby. Our son just found out that he had fathered a baby girl. We are grandparents who would love to meet our birth granddaughter. Evidently Teri's parents whisk her away without letting us have the opportunity to be a part of Teri and the babies life. Teri was not informed what name the baby was given. The only information she has been able to give us is what is above. We just feel we have been cheated out of the opportunity to love our birth granddaughter and not knowing if she grew up happy has just left us with an empty feeling.

All Other Information: The baby, "Whit", was adopted by a physician and his wife. The doctor did his internship in Chanute, at Neosho Regional Hospital and the Ashley Clinic. They were suggested to me, by my family doctor's nurse, to be the adoptive parents of my baby. The nurse accidentally disclosed the doctor's last name to me, but for whatever reason, I blocked it out. All I can remember of the name is that it is Whit-something... Whittington, Whitman, Whitworth, Whitcomb. It could be "Wit" instead of "Whit". I simply do not know. At the time of the adoption, the family were living in the Wichita, KS. area. (Update) I was 25 years old at the time of his birth. The birth father, ?..about 27 years old. My hair color is medium / dark brown. Eye color brown / green hazel.
