All Other Information: I believe my birth mother was around 16 to 17 years old at the time of my birth and my birth father was in his late 20's or early 30's maybe even late 30's and my understanding is my mother’s parents tried to take care of me for a while before putting me up for adoption. I think my grandfather might have been a professor at Morehead state university? I’m 99.9% sure I figured out who my birth mother is....Jaylah Sherry Miller and I believe my grandmother was Aileen Hogge Miller but I'm coming to a dead end on my birth father ?. I have no information on him. I did find a DNA match on ancestry.com that linked me to Melany Elway who also is adopted that sent me to this website and she has just recently found her siblings thanks to this site. I believe she is linked to me from my birth fathers side. Also were both linked to a Dana Clem-Brown and believe it’s from my birth fathers side?. I’d really like to find my birth father and birth brothers n birth sisters and hopefully confirm Jaylah Sherry Miller as my birth mother.

All Other Information: Would like to meet up with biological family if possible. I was taken into the custody of the state as an infant and was in foster homes the first 3 years of my life. When I wrote to the State of KY for non-identifying information, I was informed only that my biological mother was periodically institutionalized for mental health problems and that no information was available on my biological father. I believe my biological mother was in Central State based on some notes I found that my adoptive parents wrote down. The same notes indicated that my biological mother had given birth to two other children previously. This is all the information I have. I am interested in learning anything I can about my biological family members, medical history, and meeting members of my biological family if possible. (Update) I have no information on my birth parents including age height eye color. I am 5'4" tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. (Update) My birth mother was a hotel maid who completed 7th grade. She was 29 years old when she had me. She had 3 older children, so I have birth siblings (or half-birth siblings) out there somewhere. The birth father was 53 years old, completed high school and did metal work. My birth mother was hospitalized several times for mental health problems. my birth mother had one brother and one sister. The maternal grandmother was deceased and the grandfather was in his sixties and worked as a janitor. Birth mother was 5’2” tall, 150 lbs. with brown eyes and dark brown hair. Birth father was 5’8” tall, 140 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair.

The 1st separation from my parents occurred in the spring of ?-?-1974 when my father was imprisoned and my mother placed my brother and I in foster care and my mother left the state in fear of my father. In the summer of ?-?-1974 my father was released and my brother and I remained with my father until he went back to prison or jail again in 10?-1975. We where then returned to foster care until my father got released and then we stayed with him and his new wife til 6-?-1976. My fathers marriage lasted only a short time and he then returned me and my brother to foster care in 7-?-1976. We where adopted in ?-?-1977, but before that my brother had some minor surgeries. I believe at the time of the adoption my biological parents would've been 28 for my mother and 33 for my father. From what little information I have I do honestly believed that they cared for us. I know that my father was opposed to the adoption (he probably had a feeling about the people we went to). HA! HA! Also my mother kept contact by phone and mail for sometime after we where placed in foster care. I have tried to get my adoption records from my adopted family but they won't have none of that. I don't want to cause any trouble for my biological parents I just want to see if they want to get to know me now that I have grown up and I want to see my records, my original birth certificate and stuff like that.

All Other Information: At birth I weighed 7 lbs. 2 ounces and was 19 1/2" long. I did send for and receive my non-id info. It tells me that my birth mother was 14 years old (not sure if that was at the time of my birth or when I was given up.) It also states that she had 5 siblings - 3 older brothers (with high school educations), 1 older sister (married and with high school education) and 1 younger sister (apparently just a year or so younger as the younger sister was in junior high.) It also says that my maternal grandmother had a high school education and LPN training but wasn’t working due to her health. It says she had high blood pressure but not sure what else. My maternal grandfather was employed as a janitor. I have done DNA on Ancestry. I was adopted when I was 2 years old. I was told that my birth mother kept me until I was 6 months old and that I had been in foster care from 6 months old until I was adopted at age 2. I do not know this as fact but I believe that is what my adopted mother was told. (Update) Birth mother was 5’6” tall, slender build, with brown eyes and brown hair. Birth father was 5’7” tall, medium build, with green eyes and brown hair, light complexion. I am 6’3” tall, I have hazel eyes and brown hair.

She was in 11th grade at the time of her pregnancy but planned to finish high school and attend college. She wanted to become a social worker. She enjoyed drawing, reading, and sewing and was of the Protestant faith. She made the decision to put me up for adoption after much thought and consideration as she felt unable to provide the security and opportunities she wanted me to have.My birth father was 19, 5'10", slender build, with blond hair and green eyes. He completed high school and liked to draw and write. He was described as quiet and serious and planned to join the military. My maternal grandfather died of emphysema at age 41. He was 6' tall, 160 lbs., with sandy blond hair and brown eyes. He completed high school and had been in the military.My maternal grandmother was 35, 5'3 1/2"tall with brown hair and eyes. She had completed 10th grade and worked in a factory. My birth mother had a half-sister, age 9, and a half brother, age 4. My paternal grandfather was 47, 5'11" tall, average build, with dark brown hair. He worked construction. My paternal grandmother was 45, short with blond hair and green eyes, she worked in a factory. My birth father had four brothers, 17-6 years old. All Other Information: As of ?-?-1975, my birth mother had birthed 3 children. Myself on 9-2-1975 named Brandy and my brother Dustin on 2-14-1973. We had the same birth father. There was another child born in ?-?-1974 to a different birth father. We were born in Greenup County Kentucky. We were fostered by Jack and Kay Patterson in Ashland, KY until we were adopted by James and Patricia Adkins in 1977. Our birth mother had a rare condition called, in 1975, congenital elephantiasis. In talking with my doctor, true elephantiasis cannot be congenital. I am guessing that this disease now has another name. Her overall health was not good and she was prone to drug use including speed and heroin. It is very likely that she could be no longer living. Our birth father was a bit of a traveler, working with traveling groups like the circus or carnivals. I believe that my birth brother was relinquished to the state by our birth mother. I was committed to the court on 1-11-1977. . (Update) Birth father was 5’8” tall, weight 165 lbs. with green eyes and blonde hair. Fair complexion.
