All Other Information: Dr Francis Duke delivered me. My birth mother had already decided to put me up for adoption. My aunt was office mgr for Dr Duke. Aunt knew my adoptive parents were trying to adopt a baby over seas so when birth mother came in hospital in labor she called my adoptive parents. They started working on adoption immediately. Birth mother delivered me and left hospital same day. My aunt and Dr Duke both signed confidentiality papers I have petitioned the court through the attorney who represented adoptive parents. Court will not unseal my records without medical documentation proving its a life or death need. I have been told my birth mother never told anyone who my birth father was and even her parents didnt know she was pregnant. Adoptive mother has told me she was the first to hold me and the bracelet on my arm said Smith Baby Girl. She believes it was just a common name used like Jane Doe but not sure. All of my records dont even hint that I was adopted. Even when I called the hospital they asked me if I was sure I was adopted bc all records are in my adoptive parents names. They even paid the hospital bill. They were told that my birth mother was never actually admitted to the hospital.
