All Other Information: Bea was born in a hospital. We heard that her birth parents were married, but that her birth mother died somehow related to her birth. We heard that the birth father had a poor relationship with his in-laws, and would not give the baby to them, and that he felt he was not able to adequately care for her. As an adult, Bea was obese and developed Type 2 Diabetes. She had a son diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, who died at the age of 42. After her adoptive mother died, Bea was given some information about her birth family, which had been kept by her adoptive family. Lightening struck her house, and it was 85% burned, and the papers she was given burned as well. Bea died in 2007, and in her address book, I saw a phone number for Spence Chapin, so I believe she tried to find information, but she told me she didn't learn about her birth family. I am Bea's niece. I have not posted anywhere else, nor have I tried to contact Spence Chapin. (Update) I do not have any information about her parent's ages, hair or eye color; however, Bea's hair was platinum as a child, and light brown>dark blond as an adult, and her eye's were blue. My father, who saw whatever papers my grandparents had been given, that were kept in the family safe, told me that she was of white, anglo-saxon heritege. She was not very tall....in an adoptive family of tall folks. I think she was 5'3"-5'4" tall as an adult.

Other Info: Adopted thru Elizabeth Lund Home in Burlington, Vermont. The child was placed in the home of Adoptive Parents 8-14-1944. Sibling information – I was my birth mother's first child. My birth father had three sons and two daughters at the time of your birth, ages 14-21, presumably from his marriage. The file indicates that my birth mother and birth father became pregnant again soon after my birth. Education at time of delivery: She had two years of high school at the time of her admission to the Elizabeth Lund Home. She received mostly Bs and Cs in school and her favorite subjects were General Science and Business.The file Elizabeth Lund Home states that she always worked at home on farm very good understanding of farm work. The family farm had cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens and grew corn, oats, and potatoes. She assumed large responsibility for farm work after her father died. The file states she is a very strong, healthy girl, accustomed to doing a man's work. The birth mother was single and never married. The file states that my birth mother indicated that she was quite active in Bible study. In one place, the file reports her as Protestant, and in another, alludes to Jehovah's Witness. Birth mother had two sisters at the time of my birth ages 23 and 25. My birth mother requested a photograph of you after she discharged from the Elizabeth Lund Home. Knowledge of the pregnancy/feelings regarding adoption - The file indicates that your maternal birth grandmother was aware of the pregnancy. She and one of your birth mother's sisters visited your birth mother during her stay at the Elizabeth Lund Home. Birth Father - Age at delivery 43. All Other Information: Non-identifying information from Vermont Catholic Charities: My birth mother was unmarried when I was conceived and she didn't want to give me up when I was born. She did so 6 months later, and provided money for my care for a time, before my adoption. She was Protestant but placed me in a Catholic orphanage. She was prone to having respiratory ailments. I was her 2nd child, she had a previous one also out of wedlock when she was in high school, had me by a different man, then apparently married (?) or went back to the father of the first child, who didn't want me. My adoptive parents (who will always be my "real" parents in every sense of the word) told me that while arranging the adoption, my adoptive father looked at paperwork on a desk after a nun briefly left the room. They believed that my birth mother or birth father came from White Plains, N.Y., but aren't certain. They also believed that my birth father might have been a Catholic priest. Again, not certain. My birth mother called me "Daniel" for the 6 months that she had me. Upon adoption I was renamed Robert Joseph Leonard. I had my name legally changed to the name shown on this form two years ago.

I was born in 1962, so all I know is the town her birth mother is from: White River Junction. And that she likely was in high school at the time of pregnancy. So I am searching for anyone who gave up a child or who is the child in this case. I learned the identity of my biological father and he would be the same person as her biological father. All Other Information: I am looking for my birth father. I was adopted by my step father in ?-?-1965. His name was Raymond A Nadeau. My birth mother is still living and will not give me any information. There must be people living in the Barton, Orleans, Brownington, VT area who know who my birth father is. My mothers parents names were Wilma & Fred Tyler, they lived in West Charleston, VT when I was 1-15 years old. (Update) I have found my birth father. Unfortunately, he died in ?-?-1982. He may also have children that were adopted and are looking for their birth parents. I am going to investigate further and see what I can find out.
