All Other Information: My searching for my birth cousin that was gave up for adoption at birth. I was told at a very young age about him. His birth mother was only 16 years old when he was born. She wrote a letter to him that would help let him know why she was giving him to another family, it was supposed to be gave to him when he turned 18 years old. We know that the letter was gave to him because he did try to reach out to his birth mother, but at the time her husband didn't not want her to reach back to him. Since then she has remarried to a wonderful man. He has two younger sisters Jordyn and Halie. Sadly Jordyn was killed in a car accident almost 4 years ago. Please help us, I know we don't have much information on him, that doesn't mean we very stopped loving him and wanting to find him. Kimberly was 16 years old when he was born. All Other Information: This was a private, open adoption. The adoptive family's attorney handled all details and paperwork but has since deceased and I have no further information. I was a ward of the state of NE at the time the adoption was finalized. The birth father's name was omitted from the original birth certificate; we were told this was because he would have to cover all fees even though she was being placed with the adoptive family. Contact was maintained until she was 6 months old. Around her 2nd birthday a friend and I contacted the adoptive mother for a photo. I have not heard from or spoken to them since, and I believe both my husband and myself and the adoptive family moved quite a few times in between. The birth father and I married in 1994.

(Update) Someone told us that birth mother graduated from Scottsbluff High School, Nebraska. We purchased a 1990 yearbook, and could not find her. My adoptive mother saw a picture of her in the adoption papers, but we were never given a copy. We think they attended Chadron State College in Nebraska. Birth mother probably graduated from high school in 1989. I'm not sure how old the birth father was. Her hair was blonde. We think birth father has brown eyes and brown hair since he is African American. I have brown eyes, and brown hair. All Other Information: Very long drawn out battle for adoption / custody - several articles in the Grand Island and Hastings newspapers from 1995-97; birth mother had at least 3 more children after me, all will different men; have found suggestions she moved to Colorado but the trail stops; would be willing to file missing persons reports or request death certificates but need guidance; virtually no info on birth father.
