All Other Information: I am a birthparent searching for my birth daughter who is 20. I have registered with ISRR and the Utah state adoption registry, where she was born and the adoption facilitated. I will be registered with Ancestry and 23andMe by the end of next week. I have some address information for the adoptive parents that may be helpful in locating her. She was born in Utah, but the adoption was finalized in Memphis, Tennessee, many months later. I know my daughter grew up in and around the Memphis area and I have a couple former addresses for the adoptive parents. The agency that facilitated the adoption was run by James Webb, who is now in prison for fraud. The Adoption Center of Choice operated out of Orem and American Fork, Utah, and was the center of a huge scandal, and several bad adoptions caused their license to be revoked. It is my understanding that the state did not preserve the records on file at ACC, and instead trashed them. I was given no other documentation, no copies of anything I signed, or anything that I can provide that way. Birth mother was 21 years old at time of birth. 5’2” tall, with green eyes and brown hair. Birth father was 31 years old. 6’3” tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. (Update) on the Adoptive Parents: Mother was a pediatrician. Father was/is an ER doctor. He was one of the head ER doctors in one of the Memphis, TN hospitals for a long time. Unsure if he still is, as they had moved away to Arden, NC, (Address was Falling Waters Trail), and relocated back to Memphis. I have registered and paid for DNA kits with Ancestry and 23andMe.
