All Other Information: I do not have a lot of information about my adoption as I would like even though I have always known I was adopted. I do know that I was born in Mobile, Al on 5-3-1970 and brought back to FL. I was adopted out of the Children's Home Society of FL when I was 3 months of age. So I believe my family is from FL and may still live here. I went in the CHS website and entered all my information last year or so and received a letter that my birth mother and a half sibling was looking for me and had contacted them a couple years earlier. I did not have the money to search so I once again was at a dead end, but knowing that they do want and have been trying to contact me has made me want to further my search. Now that the fear of being rejected is gone. If anyone sees this and thinks they know someone who is from my birth family I would love to hear from you.

All Other Information: Searching for my birth son given up for adoption when I was 16 years old. The adoption was private. I do not know anything other than the adoptive parents' family doctor, and the doctor who arranged this private adoption, was James Poteet and his office was next to the Baptist Hospital. The Baptist Hospital where he was born was not happy with the situation (unmarried, under aged pregnant child) and insisted that I carry the baby out of the hospital and give him away off hospital grounds. Dr. Poteet's nurse, Becky, took him from me at the door to Dr. Poteet's building and that was that. When I was 17 years old, I married Wayne Altman, birth father of the adoptee I am searching for. We had another birth son, Jeremy James Altman, who is also search for his birth brother. We divorced many years ago. I did notify him to let him know I was searching for our birth son again.

All Other Information: I have met most of my birth mothers family. None of them claim to know who my birth father is. The "angel" that helped me find my maternal birth family said that my birth mother said that I would not want to know my birth father. What I do know about him is at the time of my birth in 1973 he was 20 years old he has green eyes and auburn hair. He also had 4 brothers (ages unknown) I have tried many times for my maternal grandparents to tell me my birth fathers name but they say they don't know. The adoption papers from Children's Home Society states that my birth parents were going to get married but my birth mother became unhappy with my birth father's behavior and that her parents would no longer permit marriage. I do have my birth mother Sharon Taylor (aka Glynis Maruk) contact information. She wants nothing to do with me so I have not called her directly. I have tried to respect her wishes. She is in Nashville, Tennessee and her phone number is: (On File) The "angel" that helped me many years ago to get this far warned me of her attitude. Her current husband does not know about me and her other child I just found in December 2011 did not know about me either. I also learned from my adoptive parents that I should have been adopted at birth but my birth father had not signed some required papers so they had to post or announce my birth for a period of weeks for notification purposes. I don't know how to find or even where to look for such postings.

At the time she lived with her Father and Mother, Charles Clayton Ellis and Mary Gwendolyn Matherson Ellis...and siblings (3 Sisters). Her father was in the Air Force and was stationed on base in Dover Delaware. My mother became pregnant by a military man, age and race marital status unknown. I am not even sure that he was aware of her pregnancy. I believe his name was Bobby. My grandfather moved them to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she went to a home for unwed teen mothers in Birmingham, AL. She gave birth to a baby boy in 1974 possibly 1975. It is a good possibility this baby boy was born with red hair. I have an older half brother out there somewhere. I would really love to find him.

All Other Information: Birth mother lived in Alexander City, AL in ?-?-1976 near her parents, and was divorced (around ?-?-1970). She had two boyfriends at the time of conception, a dark haired, very tall and thin man who lived with his mother and was unemployed, and a shorter blond man who was born around ?-?-1952, and was adopted at age two from Germany. He was a worker that was a high school graduate, and was tearing down old buildings in Alexander City, AL in ?-?-1975, and my birth mother only lived with him for about 1 1/2 months. She conceived around 5-15-1976 After the birth of twin boys that were approximately 38 weeks gestation, the man adopted from Germany couldn't be found by the social worker, so he may have been a transient worker on a crew, and may have never even known that Barbara Sue Roberts was pregnant, and delivered healthy twin boys in ?-?-1976. Both boys have very blond hair and very blue eyes, and have genetically identical features, coloring, and size to the man adopted from Germany. Our birth mother also lived in Birmingham at a home for mothers that needed a place to live before the birth. The state says that her father was on his deathbed at the time of the birth, and that the birth mother was very attentive to the babies, and wanted to keep them, but also knew that she couldn't provide a home for them. She also visited the twins at least twice during their 5 months in foster care, and was very tender to them. All Other Information: My mother was around 19 when she gave birth to her son. She didnt have the means to take care of him and lived in an unwed mother's home. The last time my mother saw her son she was in a court room in Birmingham where she was told she had to declare herself an unfit mother. She then handed her baby boy to a social worker in order to legally declare him a ward of the state. My mother is working on getting non-id information from the State Dept of Human Resources and is filling out the forms for Contact Preference and Medical History. I am the daughter of the birthmother and full blooded sister to the adoptee. After the adoption took place, my parents eventually married and had my brother and myself. My husband, Jason, is also very much interested in meeting his birth brother. I don't know of the baby's name, but I was told the adoptive family was heard calling him "Jay". I do not know if this was an initial, a nickname, or a shorthand version of the baby's adoptive name.

All Other Information: My biological mother was 24 years old when she had me. My biological father was 22 years old. They were divorced and had one girl who was three when I was born. she gave me up because she could not take care of 2 kids. at the time of my birth my mother was 5'4", 115 lbs, blonde hair, blue eyes, and had a fair complexion. I was born at 6:18 pm, weighed 4 lbs. 8 oz. and was 17" long. my biological mother completed the 9th grade. my maternal grandmother (at the time of my birth) is 5'4" tall and weighed 135 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She completed the 6th grade. my biological grandfather is 5'6" tall and weighed 175 lbs. my mother has 3 full siblings and 2 half-siblings. my biological father (at the time of my birth) was 22 years old, 5'10" tall and weighed 150 lbs. He has reddish-brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of my birth, my sister, age 3, had blonde curly hair and blue eyes. i was placed in a foster home when I was 13 days old. I stayed there until my parents adopted me at 8 months old. im not sure but I think I was adopted through Montgomery, AL. thats where my parents went to get me.
