I have found many Hilda Nelson's born around that time in Hibbing on Ancestry. If I could get Hilda Nelson's middle name I can search more on Ancestry and MyHeritage. Hilda nelson was an unwed mother. The birth father was listed as John Tremberth 22 years old of Hibbing, Minnesota born in Michigan. I have a letter Dated 9-30-1918 surrendering the child "Dorothy Emeline" to Gerda and Albin Erickson signed by a"Notary Public, St.Louis County, Minnesota. All Other Information: Searching for my father’s biological parents - for medical purposes and genealogy (secondary) Birth mother was approx. 16 years old- birth father unknown - family "history" states was neighborhood boyfriend. Child was named Harvey A (Allen ?) Hilton on birth certificate - date of birth 8-7-1927 Cloquet, Minnesota. Was in an orphanage in Minnesota and adopted at age 2 by Herbert and Elsie Wadell - they named him John Richard Wadell 1930 census confirms John R Wadell as adopted son. The adoptive parents (Herbert and Elsie Wadell) are deceased, adopted son John Wadell is deceased and from the one contact made 17 years ago - the biological mother is deceased 40+ years ago. Serious medical issues with 3 daughters of adoptee John Wadell's children as well as several Grandchildren - Thank You! (Update) My biological grandparents, the birth parents of my now deceased father John Richard Wadell. I believe the birth parents are both deceased but looking for any information for reasons most look but most importantly looking for some severe medical issues that many descendants of John Wadell have. Was told that the birth mother's name was Mary Hilton and child was in orphanage until age 2 when he was adopted by John and Elsie Wadell. I was previously registered on this site, however due to medical conditions that have required extensive hospitalizations and recovery, I no longer have or remember the email address I supplied, so there may have been information already existing that I was unable to receive. Due to my medical conditions, I am unable to travel to Minnesota or I would have done so! Any help or information is very very much appreciated!. (Update) I have spent years searching the internet (I am ill and bedridden) and the only thing I have found is a baptismal document from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, Records, 1875-1940 (line 1621) which shows his name as Harvey Allan Granmo; parents are Dorothy Hilton and Arne Granmo (Granmoe). Dorothy Hilton and Arne Granmo(e) were never married and there is some doubt that they even knew each other. I have taken a DNA through Ancestory as has my sister and niece and we all three have the Hilton DNA matches, however NO Granmo(e). We do have relatives in common with the last name of Sorenson as well as Nelson / Nilson. Additionally, the baptismal record shows Hagas or Hagen Sisters as 'witnesses" from "Bethel" Home (it is difficult to read so the "Bethel Home" may be another Home that has 'Be' as the first couple of letters). The bio and adoptive parents are deceased as is my father. I have spent hours on different days and months (literally) with the MNHS in attempts to get any information but I have just met w/a brick wall time after time. I have a year, maybe two to live and I would love to solve this mystery; if anyone knows anything, however minute it may seem, please contact or post. All other Information: My grandfather Lyle Burton Morse born Douglas County Minnesota 7-17-1912 married Doris (Doryce) Martinson born 2-21-1915, in The Sauk Centre (Pope County ?) Minnesota 7-14-1933. They divorced 12-27-1933 6 months later. Lyle moved to Australia 1946 after WWII. During the 60's a young man in a Naval uniform visited Lyle Morse and claimed to be his birth son from his marriage to Doris. Doris was now called Doris (Doryce) Martinson Valley. Possible foster family name of Hildebrand, possibly returned to birth family. Found on 1940 St Paul, MN census as an "inmate" at Children's Home Society of Minnesota, age 4 years old. No idea length of time spent there. Also possible record of birth in Hennepin, MN to a Fred B Lang Jr. and Marguerite Lang 1-20-1936 but no other records found. All Other Information: My grandmother Nancy Lu Wenzel was adopted as an infant by Mr. Clifford J Wenzel (b. 6-15-1898 in MN, died 6-30-1976 in IA) and his wife Hannah Beatrice Wenzel (b. 12-27-1901, MN) (she went by Bea). Clifford and Bea lived in Kenyon, Goodhue, MN in the 1930's US census but my grandmother Nancy grew up living in Cresco, Howard, IA. She was married to Lester Robert Larson Jr. While she grew up knowing that she was adopted she never saw her adoption papers. She was raised as an only child by her adopted parents and has only one surviving child (My mother Jo). I am looking for genealogical information regarding my Grandma Nancy's birth family. All Other Information: I am searching for the adopted child of my aunt, Eleanor Kramer and James Campbell. They were not married. Eleanor was Catholic and he was Baptized at Sacred Heart Church in Waseca, MN, but the priest didn't record baptisms of children of non-wedded couples. Richard was born around 8-?-1939 ? and lived with Eleanor's married sister, Cornelia Lynaugh, her husband and children in Rochester, MN. He shows on the 1940 census as being 9 months old. All Other Information: Mom passed away 8 years ago, but we still want to find our sister. Mom was told Kathleen died 2 hours after birth, but there is no birth or death record. The only explanation is that she was given up for adoption. Mom had been married for about a week, but Kathleen was probably not her husband's child. The hospital was actively looking for records and keeping in regular contact by letter, then suddenly clammed up and said they had no old records. It was a Catholic hospital, so she may have been adopted through them. given up for adoption by our grandmother who wanted to avoid scandal.

(Update) Theydidn’t want to take on a baby. He does not know if his birth siblings were male or female, just that he has 4 of them and that he was the youngest of the 5. He believes he was close to/if not age one. The adoption agency was through Lutheran Childrens Friends Society. His adoptive parents were Lester & Elvera Seedorf (both deceased), from Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He knows he was born on 5-26-1949 and that his adoptive parents kept his name as Billy, but switched it on his birth certificate to William….he was born at home in Ramsey County, Minnesota….his certified birth certificate says Grand Rapids, Minnesota. His eyes are hazel and his hair color is brown. His previous name was Billy Solmonson.
