All Other Information: I'm searching for the birth parents names of my great grandfather Charles Vincent Cornely. They may have been from Cleveland as his birth certificate says he was born there. Charles' adoptive parents lived in Kirby, Ohio when he was adopted. They were devout Catholics so I thought that maybe Charles may have been adopted from a Catholic orphanage. The state of Ohio has no birth or adoption records for Charles. I have contacted the Diocese of Cleveland who had several orphanages and unwed mother homes in Cleveland at the time but was told there were no records available. Thanks for any assistance that you can provide. (Update) His death certificate said he was born in Cleveland, OH. According to his WWI registration card he was of medium height and build with gray eyes and light hair. I have no info on his birth parents or birth family at this time.

All Other Information: My grandfather was born in Corning, Ohio on 8-20-1896. His birth father was a coal miner that was killed in a mining accident. His birth mother was killed by a train when he was an infant. He was then placed in an orphanage in Ohio and was not adopted until 1909 by the Fischer family. His adoptive father was a police officer. We do not have any information on the adoptive mother. I believe his birth parents' last name was either Umphrey or Umphreys. My grandfather passed away in 1967, and his son (who was my father) passed away in 2010. No other family members have any additional information. The only other additional information that I have is that the orphanage burned down sometime after 1909. (Update) Fred Charles Fischer was 6' tall, he had blue eyes and blonde to brown hair. His birth mother was killed by a passing train and he was found nearby in some bushes. The only thing we know is that the orphanage he was in burned down in Ohio. The only orphanage in Ohio that had a fire was the Gore Orphanage.

Irene had a sister, about 1 year older, named Leola (or Leoda) Eva Kimberly. The birth mother was sent away from her home in Minnesota to finish her pregnancy in Cleveland, OH where Elizabeth was born and adopted right away. Then her birth mother went home to Minnesota. Elizabeth went with her adopted family to Stevensville, Montana sometime between 1910 and 1919. Later moved to Kalamazoo, MI where she lived the rest of her life. He was placed in the Wilsons Children's Home by the Juvenile Court in ?-?-1912 and described as a neglected child. He was placed with the Children's Home Society of Ohio in ?-?-1914 and adopted by Peter and Julia Wise that same year. There does not seem to be a birth certificate. I would like to know who his parents were and what were the circumstances. He is deceased . The chances of anyone still alive having any info are remote. The Court will not give me any information. Searching For: Adoption Records, any records on birth parents and birth siblings. Verification of the information I have found on the birth parents and that they are the parents of all 7 children, Any Medical History.
All Other Information: There were 7 siblings all sent to be fostered by Anna Catherine Howlett who ran a rooming house in Toledo, Ohio 1920s.The children were born between 1-28-1924 and 11-14-1936 and Fitzgerald was their birth names and we believe them to be from Buffalo, NY. Their foster mother Anna Catherine Howlett pretended to be their birth mother and assumed the identity of their mother using their birth fathers last name. Since she was not married she was not eligible to adopt the children and change their names so this was her only other option. She never told any of the children that they were not hers and took her secrets to her grave when she passed in 1986. I have birth registers from Lucas County for four of the seven children which is where I got the info on the birth parents provided. All of the children I believe were siblings from the same parents; but that is still not known. Anna lost custody of the children in 1940 for unknown reasons and six of the kids ended up back in foster care. The original boarding house was located close to the Crittenden Home for unwed mothers, St. Francis de Sales church, and St. Vincent's Hospital. I believe I found the birth father but I am unsure without any records to prove this how to proceed. I have found what I believe to be the parents, but have nothing to prove this theory. I believe the birth father to be Charles Fitzgerald is Thomas Charles Fitzgerald born ?-?-1895 in Buffalo, NY to Sarah and Thomas Fitzgerald. An unmarried man, WW1 vet that works for the RR as a clerk in 1917 thru 1929. I believe the birth mother to be Margaret Brown, born ?-?-1901 to Charles and Charlotte Brown of Buffalo, NY. She stays unmarried on the census through 1940 and lists her profession as a teacher from the age of 18 in 1920. Possibly unable to marry due to her profession. (Update) Birth mother was 22 years old at time of birth. Birth father was 29 years old. Mary Agnes Fitzgerald was 5'1" tall, with hazel eyes and black hair. I have had DNA testing on 23andMe. The other Fitzgerald childrens names are: Joan Elizabeth 9-21-90 Reg. 4345, John Joseph 4-27-1929, Patricia Jane 5-1-1930 Reg. 1990, Catherine Francis 1-5-1932 Reg. 690, Dorothy & Doris Fitzgerald 11-14-1936.

All Other Information: I am the daughter of the adoptee. I question the birth mother name due to conflicting information I've found with regard to her and the birth father Virgil Givens via genealogy research. My father and mother both visited his birth father before my father went into the Army, or before they left for Germany with the Army. To the best of my knowledge both birth parents are deceased. Allegedly my father was given up for adoption due to birth parents divorce. Therefore, I am really only looking for genealogy information as I have no desire to intrude on other people's lives. The area for "Twin" is not marked although according to the county clerk, it is possible there was a twin. The adoptive father is the birth uncle to the adoptee. The birth mother was the adoptive father's half-sister. The birth mother was 17 or 18 years old at the time of the adoptees birth. It leaves a range of time the first child was born. ?-?-1934 to ?-?-1939 ? is the range I am researching. Looking for anyone who may have information on an adoption taking place in those years with the same birth mother. The mother was sent to Ohio to give birth but was living in Jamaica, New York at the time. She resided there from at least 1930 forward. She married Raymond Klitzke in 1942 and they never had any children. She died in Merced California in 1990. (Update) Lawrence is 5'9" tall, with light brown eyes and black hair, (now gray). The birth mother had red or strawberry blond hair, from what I can tell in the photos. (Update) DNA test shows matches to Puerto Rican family and does not share matches to my mother's dna. Closest matches show Torres as a sir name. My father was not aware he was biologically related to his adoptive family until recently. He was told his birth family was Italian but it appears his birth father is of Puerto Rican descent. There is a possible connection to Murphy / Torres and a higher connection to Torres / Perez / Acevedo.

All Other Information: My birth uncle was removed from my grandparents home because he could not be taken care of. He was in the Miami Children's home in Maumee, Ohio. Until being adopted there were 3 other siblings also there but they were only fostered out because they were older. They have all found each other. We have been given 9 names of children with his birthday that were adopted from Toledo, Ohio but I have had no luck 3 of them have passed away. I have also put in a request from the Lucas County Children's Services for a request to locate him and have not heard anything back. Also vital records could find no birth record. I and my mom have both done Ancestry DNA and have found no matches as of yet. I have the only picture of him and my grandmother there is since he was so young and would be willing to share it. My mother and Ant are the only 2 of 5 children left and I have made it my goal to find him or what has happened to him. I also have contacted a couple of the people I have presumed maybe the children of the names given with no luck. I contacted the law firm of the attorney who handled my adoption (I knew him growing up). The law firm was now run by his grandsons. They told me that all of their grandfather's legal files were destroyed after his death. I knew my birth mother and her her extended family throughout my life. She died in ?-?-2009. I was told birth father was Normand Orlando Wright. Found him and at age 86 he did a DNA test with me showing 0% probability of paternity. He was married to my birth mother during the time of my conception and birth. At the time of my birth, my birth mother was living with a man and his family in Indiana just outside of Cincinnati, where I was born. My birth grandmother, who was raising me, thought that Normand Wright was birth father and listed his name on paperwork used by attorney processing my adoption. I was told my birth certificate couldn't be found, until birth mother could be located. Birth mother said she had listed the man in the family she was living with in Indiana as my birth father. No one knows what his name is. He would likely be around 90 years old, if alive. Normand Wright (supposed birth father, but wasn't) told me that birth mother was sexually involved with a man from Indiana or Ohio around the time I was conceived. These men were stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas at the time of my conception. Birth mother was living in El Paso, TX at this time, also. It was WWII. I want to know who is listed on my original birth certificate (Ohio) and what is in my adoption file (California). Several important medical concerns. 15 months before my birth, my birth mother gave birth to a male child who she put up for adoption. He was adopted by a Mexican couple in El Paso, TX. Normand Wright married birth mother after she was already pregnant with this child. Normand Wright was listed as the baby's birth father (which he wasn't). When my birth brother (deceased) was in his 40s his adoptive father told his family that he was both my birth brother's "blood"/birth and adoptive father. This man's name is Horacio Monteros, El Paso, Texas (deceased). Horacio told the family that he was also the father with the same birth mother (my brother and mine) of a baby girl and that he had tried to adopt her also, but was unable to do so. I want to know if he was my birth father, and not the man in Indiana or was someone else. My birth mother told me she was sexually involved with many men. I have found my brother's (1/2 or full?) family. His daughters are thrilled to have family from their dad's birth mother, who I knew well, and the extended maternal birth family. There is a possibility for a DNA test from saliva on an envelope Horacio Monteros used in ?-?-1932. No other opportunity to prove paternity that we have found. Prior to my birth mother's death, she admitted that Horacio was my brother's birth and adoptive father. She refused to address if Horacio was my birth father. I have a 15 page document of my brother's adoption. I want to know what would be a compelling reason to have a judge be willing to order my file to be opened, especially with both birth mother, adoptive parents being deceased. I also want to know is their a copy of my original birth certificate at Cincinnati General Hospital from ?-?-1942? If so, how do I get access to that? Is their an archive record or auto licence plates at the DMV in Indiana from ?-?-1942? I might have a license plate number of the family my birth mother was living with at the time of my birth. When I was around 3 or 4 months old my birth mother returned to CA (from Ohio/Indiana) where she was from, leaving me with her mother-my birth maternal grandmother. My adoptive parents resided in Glendale, Los Angeles, CA at the time of my birth. They had a close relationship with my birth grandmother throughout their lives. I was 2 years old when adopted. My adoptive Mother originally baby sat me prior to having adopted me. Please help me find out who was listed on my original birth certificate. Was it my brother's birth father? All Other Information: Adoptive parents, Virginia Harrold Ginther & Harry Cletus Ginther, celebrated baby James Lee Ginther's birthday on Christmas Eve, 12-24-1945 but he was approximately a couple days old when they got him. Years later, he searched for his birth family & found he had a half-brother, Bob Fitzgerald, born in 1942. Both of them have since passed away. I am trying to research on behalf of my husband, James Lee Ginther Jr. to learn of his father's genealogy. I learned from Bob Fitzgerald's obituary that his mother's name was Marcella Burton but have also learned she may have married a man named Bowman before marrying Bob's father (also Bob Fitzgerald). The curious part I found so far in my research is that the adopted child (my father-in-law) was born 3 years after his half-brother. When his father searched years ago (before internet), he learned that the two half-brothers shared a mother & the story goes that his birth father was a sailor or some other traveling man. I believe I found Marcella's information on ancestry.com & her parents were Victor Burton & Ida Law Burton. I contacted the person who has her listed in their tree but have not gotten a reply as of yet. (Update) Birth mother, Marcella Burton, was about 24 when she delivered baby James. I also recently learned that his birth father was Robert James Fitzgerald, who was a Merchant Marine. It is my understanding he was already married with two daughters but had an affair with Marcella, resulting in two sons, Robert James Fitzgerald II d.o.b. 10-10-1942 and James Lee Ginther (adopted name) d.o.b. around 12-24-1945. We have no other information on his birth father, Robert James Fitzgerald nor do we know physical characteristics of either parent. James Lee Ginther's eyes were blue & his hair was dark brown though his hair may have been lighter when he was younger. James Lee Ginther was 5'10" tall.

Searching For: I am trying to find any information I can on my mother's biological mother, Medical History.
All Other Information: My mother is suffering from early on-set Alzheimers and on her lucid days she asks to find her birth family (unfortunately we have been unable to get a sample from her to test because of her condition.) Through Ancestry.com, I was able to locate my half-first cousin and we quickly determined that her grandfather was my mother's father, but her grandmother was not my mother's mother. I have since spent hours grouping as many matches as I can (I am through the 3-4th cousins) in hopes of finding a line that does not match with anyone from her biological father's side or my father's side and I have hit a roadblock. There is almost no one that does not have ties to those two sides so I am hoping someone could take a look at my research and see if I am doing something wrong, or if there is another explanation. I have also tested on 23 and me and loaded my info on Gedmatch and FamilyTreeDNA without much luck. I requested a new copy of her original birth certificate and adoption file through the Ohio Department of Health and should have that back in three to four weeks. I am not optimistic that there will be any new information as she did this several years ago and the birth certificate she received still had her adoptive parents on it. Her adoption was facilitated by her adoptive parents' family practice doctor so I have a feeling it may not have been completely legit. In addition to wanting to offer my mom some answers before it is too late, I would like to see if there is any way to find some family medical history for my maternal grandmother. We are working very closely with the NIH Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and their research managers have suggested that I will be a much better candidate for future studies and trials if I can get a better maternal medical history. Since we have located her father, that is better than nothing but given the current research around the disease and how it affects women, they really want her mother's family medical history. My mother's father passed away many years ago. Her only living half-sibling died this past December and he had no knowledge of there being any infidelity. This is not terribly surprising as his wife was institutionalized during the time of my mother's birth and he drove for a regional trucking company so it would have been very easy for him to hide an affair (or he could have known nothing about it.)

All Other Information: Our parents died before the family was reunited. When we were children, six children went to the orphanage, three were returned to my parents, three were adopted out. All Other Information: I am searching on behalf of my mother-in-law, Jill Kennemuth, who was adopted when she was 2 years old as stated above. Because I have a copy of her original birth certificate, we know that her birth mother's name was Gay Friend. We are currently searching for her birth father as well as a half-brother that was born in 1942, then given up for adoption through private means, not an agency. I have done research and have found Ms. Gay Friend, the natural birth mother, died in 1967 in Guernsey County, Ohio. On Madeline's birth document, it indicates that Ms. Friend had another child, and we have had confirmation that there is a half-brother that was born to Gay Friend in 1942, probably in Akron, Ohio. Ms. Friend was married for about three years to Jay (James) Hill from 1940-1943. During this time, she had the son and gave him up for adoption after the marriage dissolved. This adoption was done through a private adoption and not through an agency. This half-brother probably had a last name of Hill or Friend. After Ms. Friend divorced, she worked as a housekeeper and then at People's Hospital in the kitchen. She had a relationship with a man that also worked there and allegedly lived with his mother. She came to be a patient at Florence Crittendon Maternity Center in Akron, Ohio, while she was 4 months pregnant with Madeline. She gave birth to Madeline 12-22-1948 when she was 33 years old. Later, Gay died at the Cambridge Mental Health and Development Center in Guernsey, County, Ohio in 1967. Madeline's birth father was described as 32 years old at the time of her birth, of Polish descent and Roman Catholic. He lived with his mother and was unmarried. He had no desire to marry and support Gay and his baby. *Much of this information was received directly from Family Services when Madeline (Jill) requested it in 2000. (Update) Birth mother was about 5'7" tall, with blue, grey, eyes and pale brown or blonde hair. Jill is 5'5" tall, with blue, green eyes and blonde hair. We have no info on birth father at this time.

My brother was possibly born in about ?-?-1949. My Aunt Hazel Jones told her daughter about my mother haveing a baby at 14. Aunt Hazel made Katie promise she would not tell me about the baby until she was dead and gone. Aunt Hazel died 12-13-2011. I am 55 years old and if I do have an older brother, I would love to have the chance to meet him. I am sure I would not be able to travel there, but I would love to talk to him. I do not know who the birth father would be. My father told me when I got pregant out of wedlock that my mother should not say anything because she had had an abortion before I was born. All Other Information: My mother was 14 years old. Her parents sent her to Marimont, Ohio where her sister Hazel Glick was working, to have a baby. My mother was born 9-10-1935. My brother was possibly born in about ?-?-1949. My Aunt Hazel Jones told her daughter about my mother haveing a baby at 14. Aunt Hazel made Katie promise she would not tell me about the baby until she was dead and gone. Aunt Hazel died 12-13-2011. I am 55 years old and if I do have an older brother, I would love to have the chance to meet him. I am sure I would not be able to travel there, but I would love to talk to him. I do not know who the birth father would be. My father told me when I got pregant out of wedlock that my mother should not say anything because she had had an abortion before I was born. So I never thought any more about it. I never got the chance to ask my mother about it. She died of Cervical Cancer 3-5-2005. I have a younger brother who is 54, a younger sister who is 52 and a another brother who is 50.

All Other Information: My half brother would now be 60 years old. I have known of his existance since I was 5 years old. I will soon be 54. My mother was 13 yrs old when she had my brother. She never realised that her baby would be taken away from her. She took care of him for 6 weeks in the Home and earned a small amount of money cleaning the Director's apartment.The day she went to buy her baby a layette at the local 5& dime, she returned to find him gone. Apparently, it was the practice in those days, that if social services paid for the birth of the baby and the mother was unwed,the baby was taken by social services. My mother's father was killed in an automobile accident in 1947. He left behind a wife and 5 children. They were living on Social Security and probably some welfare assistance. My mother was raped by a distant cousin by marriage. She was sent to the Florence Crittenden Home for Unwed Mothers in Columbus, Ohio. Later after she was sent home, she ended up being sent to Rochester, NY to live with her maternal aunt. There she eventually met and married a man with whom she had 7 more children. He always knew about David Lee. I am the oldest of their 6 girls and 1 boy. I was 16 when my baby brother was born. My mother and father named him David after the oldest brother we have never known. Our parents have passed away now. My mother always wanted David Lee to find her. In 1996 she had me try to find him then. We were told that his records were destroyed in a fire and that there is no way to locate him. I have called what used to be the Crittenden Family Services and spoken with someone in records. She promises to try to find David Lee Wilson's information in their disarrayed archives. I pray she can. If any of this sounds familiar, and you may be related to my half brother or may actually be him, Please contact me. David Lee has 7 siblings that would dearly love to know him or his family. We are a huge group now and want nothing but to give him all the love we have held for him for over 50 years.
