From the letters we have we know that the birth mother checked herself into Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, TN as Mrs. Lee Rice. That is not her real name, nor do we have an age. I was told that my birth parents were very young and having an affair, so that's why my birth mother was sent to the USA from Germany to have the child and to give it up for adoption. She was supposedly a violin player and my birth father was supposedly a Gernam solider of high rank. I don't know if any of this story is true, as my adoptive father is dead and my adoptive mother doesn't give me any other information but that. All Other Information: Was at St. Gerard's Home for Unwed Mothers in Memphis, TN, for a month prior to delivery at St. Joseph's Hospital. St. Peter's Orphanage handled the adoption. I was supposed to go to a home in Birmingham or Nashville, but because I was already 9 months pregnant, I was allowed to stay in Memphis. I believe it was 10 weeks or so before I went to Probate Court in Shelby County, TN, to sign the adoption papers. I believe the Date of Birth was sometime between 10-5-1966 and 10-10-1966. My deate of birth is 9-8-1949 and the Adoptee Birth Father's date of birth is 6-9-1950. He ha brown hair, is approximately 5'10" taall, wears glasses, and his complexion is medium. He had Hodgkin's Disease at the time of Adoptee's birth and,at that time, his life expectancy was 5 years. He was a patient at St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and survived the cancer. We were not married at the time of Adoptee's birth, but married in June of 1969. We were married for 7 years! before divorcing. I remarried 12-14-1979 and am presently still married. I am short (4'10-1/2"0 with blond hair,blue eyes, and fair complxion. I had a mole on by neck (mid-way on right side under chin and a mole on the left side above my breast). My son, Jeremiah Sullins, was born with a mole above his breast too. He also had a vision problem and is legally blind in his left eye. He plays Soccer and ran Cross Country. He is 29 years old and has a doctorate in cognitive pschylogy from Memphis State University. He married last (11-?-2008) and is expecting his first child 4-1-2010. His date of birth is 7-24-1980. Adoptee's grandfather was partially bald and Jeremiah lost most of his hair on the top by the time he was 25. He had blond curly hair when he was young and is approximately 5'10" tall.

All Other Information: My mother was adopted on 12-30-1969 in Memphis, TN. She was born in Memphis on 11-5-1969 and was awarded to the state until my grandparents adopted her when she was almost 2 months old. I know my maternal biological grandmother was 14 years old, and grandfather was 19 years old at the time. She was short with blonde hair, and he was tall with dark (possibly) black hair. He was a star athlete in High School, and was a HS graduate. That's where my trail of information goes dry. My grandparents (adoptive) were always very secretive about this adoption. I've always wanted to know for medical reasons who they were / are. My Granny recently passed away and left me a folder sealed away just for me, but there was still very little information in there other than what I've given.
