All Other Information: My paternal grandfather, Donald Allyn O'Kelly, has passed on but I would like to find my roots and am at a road block with his adoption. My grandfather was living as an infant in San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co., CA. We always presumed he was born there and adopted there, but don't truly know. He was adopted by Robert C. O'Kelly and Ida Belle (maiden name unknown). I can find them in the census in San Bernardino in ?-?-1920. My mom remembers my father's mother (so the first wife of my grandfather - Donald Allyn O'Kelly) saying she thought his birth parents' surnames might have been Livingston and Stevens / Stephens. My grandfather once tried to find out who his birth parents were and someone sent him a threatening letter to cease and desist on his search. However, by now pretty much all parties must be deceased (my grandfather passed in I think ?-?-1986) so I wouldn't think it would be an issue for anyone at this point.

All Other Information: My aunt who was put in orphanage with my father Earl Leroy Casler and 2 other siblings. He was born 3-22-1914 ?. My Dad was put in the Grass Valley Orphanage in 1916 we think. All his birth siblings as well. We have only been able to find a birth certificate for his baby sister with her last name only. We think his birth mother was a milk maid for a dairy in Sacramento. My father was never adopted but fostered with a family on the weekends. They were the Mc Murrays. He lived with them after leaving the orphanage at 17 years of age. We think two older sisters were put in orphanage as well. One may be named Margaret. I realize there is not much to go on but any info would be nice. When my Dad was around seven or so his birth mother May (Corey) Casler came for him. He would not go with her.

All Other Information: Adoptee and her adoptive parents are deceased. I am the adoptee's son seeking info. She was born in Los Angeles, CA 2-5-1918, but adoption was Finalized in Pierce Co. WA the next year (?-?-1919). Native Sons...Agency now defunct. She was Relinquished to them, they handled the Adoption. We have part of the "Certificate of Live Birth"(cut off) from State of CA that names the adoptive parents as "parents." It makes no mention of the fact she is Adopted! Strange? It is dated ("date received by local registrar") 2-7-1918, two days after her birth. But the Adoption was Finalized over a year later in another state (WA). On the Certificate of Live Birth says Adoptee was born 2-5-1918 at 10 PM. Dr.'s were Dr. L.M. Powers, & Dr. Bless. also on the same Certificate, it shows parents address as - 54th & Oak Streets, Tacoma, WA. But remember, these were the Adoptive Parents (the Bells) that they named on the Certificate! I think there might be an Original Birth Certificate that is "Sealed." Can we get it opened? It is from 93 years ago. Lastly, On our Certificate of Live Birth is shows "State File No. 18-005760." But it does not show the Birth Parents names or any reference to an Adoption. Thank you!

All Other Information: State of California says there is no record of my mother's birth. My birth certificate says she was born in California and I do know she went to high school in the Long Beach area. My mother rarely spoke of her childhood and I don't know her adoptive parents' first or middle names. She did mention that they belonged to a "holy roller" religion and that they were "old" when they adopted her. I think she meant late 40's or 50's, maybe even in their 60's. She was an infant when she was adopted, but I don't know at what age. Her adoptive parents died in the late ?-?-1940's and/or early ?-?-1950's. They also adopted another child they named Mabel but they gave Mabel up for adoption a few years later. Mabel was a year or two older than my mother and was already two or three years old when she was adopted and five or six years old when they gave her up. My mother's adult height was 5'5" with brown hair and brown eyes. She had a large nose. My mother married Robert Theodore Hudgins in the early ?-?-1940's and they divorced in ?-?-1953. She then married Howard Doyle Bell in ?-?-1957 and was married to him until his death in ?-?-1979.

I believe this marriage was due to an unplanned pregnancy, and am researching whether there was a live birth in late ?-?-1925, early ?-?-1926 to this couple. There is no record of divorce, but my grandmother married my grandfather (not Wickersham) in ?-?-1928 in Tijuana, and Walter C Wickersham shows up in Kern county with another wife in the ?-?-1930 Census. (Update) The birth mother (my grandmother) went by the following names: Adele Clara Dettmer (immigrated in ?-?-1908 from Germany under this name) Adele Clara Hering (took the surname of new step father, approx. ?-?-1912) Clara A Hering (name on record for 6-?-1925 marriage to Walter Crosby Wickersham) The birth mother was born 10-7-1905 (19 or 20 at birth of child) The birth father was born 9-8-1903 (21 or 22 at birth of child) Both birth parents were both Caucasian of European descent. My aunt is Martha, my mother is Mary. Martha's adoptive mother was Allie Bradley. My mother had polio and numerous health issues / surgeries. I know their name before adoption was Smith. My daughter has inherited mental health issues that incapacitate her, my mother had cancer and glaucoma which I inherited. My brother has some dementia issues. I live in the Seattle, Washington area where my mother would have been raised (a transplant about six years ago) and my brother is on the East coast. My father has died and I did not grow up with him or his family as my parents were divorced when I was a small child. We have only just received court records from the date of his adoption. The information contained therein in pretty sparse. Any new information about his birth family would be appreciated. We do have a rare genetic bone disorder that was inherited through him and have had genetic testing done to confirm. All Other Information: Everyone who might have been involved in this adoption is now deceased. We believe Gloria was "kept in the family". Her birth mother was probably a Donoho. One story has her birth mother as Marion Fern Goodno (maiden name) (born ?-?-1898) and father as Ben Kepling Donoho (born ?-?-1878). Both were living in Alhambra, California, in the ?-?-1930 census, but not together or married at the time. The other story is that she was the daughter of Dorothy Wray Donoho (born ?-?-1908) and living in Albany, California at the ?-?-1930 census. We do not know the validity of either of these stories. I beleive she was adopted at a very young age. I believe I have seen pictures of her with her adoptive parents when she was just a few months old.

About ?-?-1934 my father was separated from his siblings when both parents died, he was officially adopted in ?-?-1934 by my grandparents. My cousin said he cried for a year. His birth parents died within a few months of each other, and left many children who could not be taken in by relatives. I believe he had at least 6 older brothers, one named Darrell Norman, and a sister Patsy Norman who were all at Children's home society I think in Los Angeles. My grandparents kept the Children's Home society magazine whit photos of these kids.

All Other Information: To identify biological father. Birth certificate lists a Jorge Orantes, born in El Salvador but states that he died months before birth. Paperwork from Native sons and daughters lists a Manuel Rivera as the birth father who was present in person to put child up for adoption and who was active in some ongoing payments. Manuel Rivera was of White and Mexican descent. This is important because my Ancestry dna results came back with significant (30-49%) Mexican dna heritage, making Jorge Orantes less likely the biological father. Of course, the birth father could be someone entirely different. I would like information on how to update the birth certificate if biological father can be identified. (Update) Sylvia Anne Leonetti is 5'6" tall, with brown eyes and black hair. In my opinion, she looks very Spanish. She does not have any strong or dark Native American / Indian features. I have done the Ancestry dna test as have three of my five children.

All Other Information: I am Jewell E Koch's (b. 2-23-1924) daughter, Karen O'Connor Weiler (dob 11-22-1954). I am looking for my half sibling born to Jewell E. Koch. This half sibling was fathered by my mother's uncle, Berdine E Cole (b. 12-19-1876, d. 9-18-1954). Berdine's wife was Minnie Teresa Koch Cole (b.12-2-1881, d.10-24-1959). Berdine was convicted and put in jail for molestation of my mother. Jewell thinks her child was a boy - states she never saw him - arrangements were made for him to be adopted by "a wealthy family from San Francisco". Jewell was 11 or 12 years old at the time of the birth. She was sent away from Hollister, CA to the Florence Crittendon Home for unwed mothers in S.F. and later on went to boarding school at Immaculate Conception Academy in S.F. Jewell's parents were Otto B. Koch (b. 5-9-1979, d. 12-27-1935) and Charlotte Chapman Koch (b.1886, d.1930). Jewell had a brother, Stanley W. Koch (b.10-6-1951, d. 12-21-1974). He stayed in Hollister, CA where rest of the family lived. He was placed with another aunt and uncle, Sina Koch Stevens and Lewis Stevens. I have started a geneology study through ancestry.com.

All Other Information: Searching for birth sibling's - Im looking for birth siblings born in ?-?-1937, ?-?-1938, ?-?-1939, ?-?-1940, ?-?-1941, ?-?-1942, ?-?-1943. I was born in ?-?-1944. I did not know I had a twin but found her in 2006. I have been searching for 50 years, way before computers. I knew of 4 children - now we total 15, I have concrete proof of each birth to birth mother. She died in 1979 in Billing's, Mt. She lived with me the last 5 months of her life. I had no idea of other children, I knew nothing of her life. I have found 11 birth sibling's and believe that there are 3 to 6 more. I never knew where she was born until she died. She came from a very small town in IL. called Rosebud. She left Rosebud with her mother at a young age. I know nothing about her whereabouts from 1928 in Danville, IL. to my birth in Seattle WA. 1944. So far half of her children were born in WA. The remaining birth sibling's from 1950 on were born in CA. AR. and ? In 1950 she left WA. and went to So. Cal. I'm also looking in 1952, 1957 through 1962, 1967, 1971. Many of her children were born 11 months apart. She was married 8 times that I have proof of, but she used many last names. My siblings are professional people some were adopted, some given away, some Sold. I'm 73 years old and want to put All my birth sibling's together before I pass !!! I pray someone out there will help. (Update) I have no info on who birth father is. Birth mother was 5'2" tall, with ice blue eyes. She alway's lied about her age ?. I am 5'2" tall, with blue eyes.

All Other Information: There was only one San Martin family living in Contra Costa County. I found a recorded document on micro fiche, I requested the document and was told it was an adoption record. I then sent a request to the judge and was denied. Denied due to I was not the parent or child in question. I inquired with my living relatives and was told that my father was probably the birth father of child. My birth father Henry San Martin d.o.b : 2-26-1923 Address was : 500 "K" Street, Antioch, CA.
