Mitchell. She was told by the adoptive parent, Mary V Marcum, that there was also a baby sister, a newborn (under age 1 year old ?) at the time, that was given to someone else ? by the birth mother ? because the sitter on Pratt St told her she can only care for the older one. I am to have 5 siblings....One born in ?-?-1955 and died at age 4 of Cerebral Palsy One born in ?-?-1956 One born in ?-?-1958 One born in ?-?-1959 or 1?-?-1960 and me in ?-?-1961. Birth mother was 26 at the time of my birth in ?-?-1961 and the birthfather was 27. the sibling born before me was to have the same father as me Birthmother's name was Mary Jane and she spent most of her childhood in foster care. she was to have been the youngest of 9 children. She also had spent time in a state mental institution. Birth father's name was Clarence and he worked as a clerk for the railroad I'm sort of thinking it would have been the B&O Railroad. He never married Mary Jane because of his closeness with his parents. I've worked with a CI and she has found that Mary Jane has been dead for around 20 years and Clarence will not respond to the letters she has sent him...He must still be in the Maryland area. I need medical information as soon as possible for my child. I do not want to disrupt anyone's life, but, I do need medical info. Any and all replies would be kept confidential. Clarence Phillips is a resident in a nursing home in Frederick. I spoke to him once and he says my full-sibling (a girl) was born 1-29-1959 or 1-28-1959. He thinks her name is Marsha. I have spoke with the Barthlow family and they are very nice. I do have a half brother named Kevin Esworthy and they have not had any luck in finding him. they think his DOB is 11-2-1956. they were not a close family. I'm still wanting to find my full sister and half brother, Kevin Esworthy. I think Kevin is in the Frederick/Mt. Airy area, but, nobody can find him. I'm still wanting medical information.

All Other Information: I feel really stupid filling out this form, because I know so little. My mother had a child in ?-?-1962 ? when she was 17 years old. She transferred high schools in March, but on the school transcripts, it says transcripts were requested in January. My Grandparents sent her to Pennsylvania to live with a family to finish her school year, from there I suspect she went back to my grandparents, in Baltimore, MD because that’s where the adoption took place. I called Catholic Charities and they did confirm they had a file. I sent an letter to be put in her file if she ever came looking for us. I contacted Mutual Consent Voluntary Adoption Registry. Maryland Department of Human Resources Social Services Administration 311 W. Saratoga Street Baltimore, Maryland 21201-3521. I contacted the family who she lived with and gave me the name of the priest who connected the families- David L Colella. Attempted to contact him but he broke the law and can’t be contacted. My Grandparents are dead but at the time they lived at my grandparents lived. Mr. and Mrs. Woody Councill (My grandparents lived) 3946 Cloverhill Rd. Baltimore MD 21218. My mom died 4 years ago and I found a letter from my mom to the father about a baby that wasn’t me. That’s how I found out and this is how far I got. I would like to do most of the work myself but I need someone to tell me how to do it. Due to me being disabled communication over the phone can be difficult, but can be done through my attendant.

There was confusion on birth date with Church Mission of Help having originally stated 3-11-1962 however, documentation later corrected to read as does the birth certificate: 3-7-1962 at Maryland General Hospital. Only information about birth parents is as follows: Birth mother's maternal grandmother, maternal grandfather, and paternal grandfather had skin cancer of face, removed by surgery. Birth mother wore glasses (near-sighted in one eye, far-sighted in the other). Her mother (maternal grandmother) wore bifocals all the time (far-sighted). Her father (maternal grandfather) wore glasses for reading. Birth mother's childhood diseases included measles, mumps, chicken pox. whooping cough, diphtheria, and scarlet fever. I am the sibling of this child. birth may have been in Charles County, Maryland or Patuxent River area. birth was in a hospital. birth mother never saw baby - baby was placed immediately with adoptive family. It is possible that child may have been adopted by a physician and his family. (Update) The birth mother (Alyce Marie Bocchini) had brown hair & brown eyes, olive skin. From Italian ancenstry. I am guessing that the birth father was around 19-20 years old, but I do not know. The birth mother & birth father were from West Memphis or Memphis, Tennessee. I vaguely remember my mom mentioning something about the young man (birth father) being named "Ralph", but who knows if that is my imagination or if it is correct! Approx. 5'2" tall, light brown eyes and dark straight hair. Couldn't afford beautician school so helped in father's small restaurant. Birth mother was the older of two daughters. Father was born in West Virginia, one of five children. Mother was born in delware, one of three children. Birth father was 30 years old brown hair and blues eyes. Birth father was a unionized tractor trailer driver. The birth father left before birth. The birth mother spent the last months of her pregnancy in a maternity home. In March, she signed papers giving guardianship to the agency. Birth mother married and had a son when she wrote the agency inquiring about Lisa. Her husband was aware that she had placed a daughter for adoption. Birth mother again contacted the agency in 11-?-1979. Caseworker advised treatment. Since that time there has been no contact with the birth mother.

All Other Information: I have been told my mother's name is Mary Bradley; however, I have found a Margaret Kranchuk online that fits all descriptions given to me much better. My mother said she was very nice, and was russian/ukranian decent. My bio father said she was older and had a blond daughter like me, and that her name was Mary Bradley, since then he has retracted this, and implied she was my case worker, and said that I should not attempt to contact her. ...Pete Belcher was in the secret service or military at the time i was born...and says my bio/mother was very soon after (or during?) a prisoner in cuba for six years, hence my name...Marta. I found a cuban political pin in my adoptive mother's safe when I put her in nursing care last year. Pete Belcher also said he used to go to cuba and hang out with Hemmingway and Che for years, and that my bio mother was caputured while doing something for the Cuban people. Also both my adopotive mother and Pete Belcher, my bio dad? have mentioned a connection with a very good friend of mine Polly Bradley of Prestonburg, Kentucky, who happens to be a c-section baby(born in the mid 50's) of contraversial doctor George Archer, delivered to a mother who could no longer have children. Dr Archer, btw, was murdered in 1973. My mother's doctor was a Benjamin Pecson. ! Oddly, m y mother had a miscarriage in febuary or march and somehow says she gave birth to me in october? My mother is more than 3/4 Cherokee. I was born toe head and blue eyed to her surprise. She went on the run with me before age three and joined a serious 60's activist group for civil rights and equality...We we hunted for many years until moving to a peaceful life in a small new england town. On my birth certificate issued from the State Registrar of Vital Records from Maryland State Dept of Health in 1995, the reference number listed in the upper right hand corner is A-11076 with 31955 just below it. I do have my final decree of adoption issued from the District of Columbia Court of General Sessions, Adoption No. A-478-65. Social worker's name was Mary L. Campbell. She was an affluent woman and used to go sailing with the Kennedys at Martha's Vineyard. She share additional information with my adoptive parents that was not included in my non-id info from Catholic Charities such as my birth mother was very reluctant to give me up. After I was born, she was not sure of her decision. She did, in fact, hold me, feed me and change my diapers. My birth father loved my birth mother and wanted to marry her. However, paternal grandmother threated to cut off financial ties if he went through with marriage. It was agreed that my birth father's family would pay for all hospital costs providing my birth mother gave me up for adoption and, I believe, have me baptised. My birth mother modeled for Hecht Dept store for the petite clothing in the DC area between 1959 and 1964. My non-id info from CC: Birth mother was 23 years old, 5'1 1/2" tall, weighed 100 lbs. blue eyes and blonde hair. Oldest of three kids: sister, 21 and brother, 17. Maternal grandfather was 59 and a farmer by trade. Maternal grandmother was 58. both were of English ancestry. Both were non-Catholic. All had blue eyes and blonde hair, fair complexion and small bone structure. She attended Catholic elementary school and then public high school. Birth mother graduated in 1959 had 6 months training in modeling school but worked as office, assistant, secretary and assistant to trade paper editor. Birth father was 25 years old and of Irish-Italian ancestry. He was a high school biology teacher and had completed one year of law school. Paternal grandfather worked for police dept and paternal grandmother taught 6th grade. Paternal uncle just passed bar examination and paternal aunt was attending teacher's college. My birth mother signed an affidavit of whom my birth father was. There is some contradictory info - on page one of this report it states my birth mother met with the agency social worker on 6-16-1964. On page two, it says that my birth mother was not able to meet the agency social worker until 9-24-1964. She was anxious to make arrangements to enter a maternity home and said all was going well with her. She brought pics of my birth father who was "handsome and dark-haired," to show the social worker. She said he was tied to his parents and unable to break away and follow through with their plans to marry. Between 9-25-1964 and 12-18-1964, my birth mother could not decide what she wanted to do. I was born 12-7-1964, and was discharged 12-11-1964. My mother signed the Relinquishment of Parental Rights on 12-21-1964. I was placed with my adoptive parents the next day. My birth signed a second Relinquishment of Parental Rights on 2-5-1965 as the incorrect hospital was listed on the first one. The infant's home I was taken to on 12-11-1964 was St. Anne's Infant Home. After several communications with Catholic Charities in 1999 I did get the correct name of the hospital where I was born which is Holy Cross Hospital In 1996, my birth mother found me. I know it was her because her (I am leaving out alot of details) her dinner partner said very excitedly when I came to take their drink order "She wears her hair just like you did when you were her age!" I wanted to say, right then and there, "Where were you 12-7-1964 ?" I didn't and the opportunity passed. I got busy with my other tables and neglected to check the books for names or numbers. Years later I tried to do this, but the records were gone. In 2004, I traveled to Maryland specifically to search for my mother. My husband, our 2 year old and I went to hospital where I was born, the Infant's Home where I was taken and to the two high schools in St. Charles County where she might have attended. We also attended a Geneology Conference in the area. No one could help me although everyone was very friendly. I sent my waiver of confidentiality to CC and then was told I need permission from the Courts to allow it to be viewed. I think I then followed up with the courts. I have alot of numbers, certified mailing stubs and notes of my research. I need to update the info in all of the other registries I joined years ago, including ISRR. I sure hope a search angel can help me.

After an inquiry in 2007 to the state about his adoption records, he was told only that his birth mother was deceased because of a head wound or accident, but no info about the birth father was released. All Other Information: Hoping to receive non identifying information about my birth mother and if I have any birth siblings. Will determine down the road If I would like to pursue a reunion. The Adoption went through the Henry Watson Children's agency and Baltimore Department of Social Services. according to court documents, I was placed in their home 11-21-1968. There is no case number information on the documents that I have. The file number of my birth certificate if it helps is 1968-30-01844. I contacted Maryland Archives to inquire how to go about obtaining non identifying information, and was told to call Baltimore Circuit Court. I contacted them and was told that they do not give out non identifying information to adoptees. Both of my first cousins on either side of the family told me the same exact story on different occasions the circumstances surrounding my adoption. My adoptive / birth father supposedly had an extra marital affair in which I was the result, and because my adoptive mother could not conceive, the decision was made to adopt me. Unfortunately, both my adoptive parents are now deceased, but after years of me asking, it finally took until I was 48 years old to be told yes your adoptive father is your birth father. No one will speak of my birth mother at all. No one knows what her name is, what she looks like, nothing. All aunts and uncles that would have had any information either cannot remember due to age, or have passed away. My stepsister who is also deceased, was in the same situation. My dad found that a female in his hometown in Alabama was pregnant, and told her that because he was in the military he could provide a better life for her and took her to live with him and my adoptive mother. She was never adopted by my adoptive mother because they were fairly close in age, and she was fortunate enough to know her birth mother and her birth siblings. That is all I would love to know. Thank you for any help that you can provide. I have been asking questions for a long time and getting no answers. I am ready for closure. (Update) I am 5’2” tall, with light brown eyes and brown hair. One of my birth parents is Baptist and one is Roman Catholic.

All Other Information: (Update) Baby was born at 5 lbs ? oz, 6-2-1968 or 6-3-1968 or 6-5-1968 and taken care of by birth mother for about month at hospital. Was unable to leave hospital until 6 lbs. Handed to nun at hospital was told by Catholic Charities that baby was adopted by a doctor an a lawyer, both, Polish and Catholic. It is possible that adoptee parents picked baby up at hospital. Birth mother was 20 years old at time of birth, brown eyes and brown hair. Both birth parents were in Navy (Naval Diving Unit) at the time. All Other Information: I have dark brown hair and brown eyes. I am told that I was given up for adoption by my birth mother and I was handed to my adoptive mother in the parking lot of the hospital where I was born, probably a few days after my birth date. The adoption was a private one, handled by an attorney. The final adoption decree was ordered and finalized on 7-17-1969 in the circuit court for Baltimore County. The judge was John N. Maguire. The names I was given of my birth mother, Lois or Barbara Stevens, are possibly not accurate as my adoptive mother was told that my birth mother's family wanted to maintain anonymity. The family I was adopted into is Jewish and already had adopted my brother two years prior. As for my birth mother, I have been told that she was young at the time of my birth, maybe 19 or 20, but not sure. I do not know anything about my birth father. Finding my birth mother has been really important for me, to know who she is and what she is like. I would also like to thank her for giving me life.

All Other Information: I am looking for my birth son which was place for a Force adoption by my father and aunt. Birth name Dennis William Harting born 1-7-1969 , Montgomery Co. Hospital., Onley, Md. Taken from hospital on 1-10-1969 by Aunt's agreement a Frederick Co. Adoption Agency that worked with Frederick Social Services. I was told I could have him back as soon as I got a place to take him. Put the papers I was signing 2-?-1969 (also Force) was only for Social services because I was not allowed to bring him home. And I have 12 months to pick him up from the date of signing otherwise the adoption would be final. His birth father was in boot camp and when he return we were married a few months after his birth. My husband left for Vietnam 2 weeks after we were wed. I called for my birth son. They said we don't have him. and they had no idea where he was. I was trick... They stole him from us. He has younger birth siblings that are still waiting for him. They have known about him their entire lives. If anyone knows my birth son please tell him about this posting and that we love him dearly. Thank You. I have no pictures nor his birth records. I have been in touch with Frederick Co. they search said he lives out of Maryland and will not reply to emails nor messages to his phone. However I don't trust caseworkers. He needs to know that he is not a throw away child. and the truth about his adoption. Please help us. This has been an active search since 6-?-1969.

All Other Information: A social worker contacted my birth mother 19 years ago through the supreme courts due to a medical in query. She was still in Annapolis and has two other birth children that knew nothing about me. at the time she didn't even know she had a girl. She went to a Catholic hospital and the nuns took me away before she could even see me. at the time the social worker contacted her in 1993 she didn't want any contact at all. I was hoping she may have reconsidered by now. My birth father died at age 49 of heart disease. I was told he was not with my birth mother at any time as I was conceived from rape. Birth mother was married but separated from husband and husband had to sign paternity papers saying I was not his child for adoption process. Birth mother refers to birth father as a friend she knew for a year and he was a truck driver. Birth father missing finger, I believe on left hand which exempted him from the military draft. Birth father's father owned a jewelry store and mother worked at a department store. He had a younger brother in the military. Birth father described as being 6’0” tall, weighing 180 lbs. with blue eyes and brown hair. Birth mother described as being 5’0” tall and 120 lbs., with blue eyes and brown hair. She had a brother, 38 years old, married, with children and a Policeman. A sister who was 27 years old and a Dental Assistant, married with children. A younger Brother, 19 years old, studying electronics in the Military. Her father was 60 years old at time of my birth and worked for a beverage company. Her mother committed suicide when she was 12 years old. Her father remarried. Birth mother had tonsillectomy. She had a 11th grade education. She entered a catholic maternity home for unwed mothers. After my birth, at father and step-mothers invitation moved in with them and began working at a furniture store.
