All Other Information: I was born on a Monday morning around 8:00 a.m. I was born breach and delivered by, now deceased, Dr.Robert Middleton. I was born with Hip Dysplasia for which I was hospitalized at about age 1.5 years old. My adoptive parents and my birth mother did not go through an adoption agency, they went through our family lawyer. My adoptive parents know the truth but they refuse to tell me the truth. My Uncle (on my adoptive mothers side) told me that my birth mother was very young and came down here with a relative who was in the USAF to secretly have her baby (me). Her parents were very concerned about my birth mother being pregnant with out a husband. So they sent her off to Biloxi to have the baby(me) secretly then return to New York or some large city in the north. He said her name was somthing like Christine or Christie, she had blondish hair, fair skin and she was very nice, very polite and very pretty. He said she was very classy and her personality was infectious. After she had me she left and he had no other contact since then. My adoptive father told me variations of this story...I was the love child of a waitress at a bar called "The Vapors" where my birth father was working as a bouncer. My adoptive father said that he slept with the girl (my adoptive father said her name was Betty) and my uncle Ray, who is the full brother to my adoptive father, slept with her also in the same time frame. When she came up pregnant they arranged for Pete Halat (a lawyer) to do what he had to do to make my adoption legal. I was brought to my adoptive parents home 3 days after I was born. My adoptive mother tells me this story...My birth mother was a very young girl, about aged 15 or 16. She was pregnant and wanted to give the baby (me) to anyone that can pay for her prenatal care and give her money for the baby. She said that my birth mother could not wait to get rid of me and she only cared about the money she could get. My adoptive mother said that her and my adoptive father paid for my birth mothers prenatal care, housing, and everyday living expenses until she had me. After she had me and was clear to leave the hospital she did so and did not look back. My adoptive mother said that they never saw her again and has had no contact with her since. A good friend of my adoptive father's, Terry Bakker, told me that my birth mother was a very pretty girl named Abigale or Abby- something like that. He said her initials were A.A. He also said she had blondish hair and that I looked a lot like her. She was petite. I am 5'6" tall and I have dark, dark blonde and light brownish hair with brown eyes. Since I was first told that I was adopted I wanted to find out about my birth mother and birth father (if Jerry is not). But everytime I would mention it in the least they would freak out and shout at me, as if what I was asking was so horrible that I should be punished. So, I'm now 42 years old and I have given up. This is my last try to find some information about who I am, who I came from and what does my birth mother look like. I figure that she knows where I am (the city of Biloxi) and if she really wanted to find me or see me, she knows where I live. I now live outside of Biloxi. I don't want to ruin her life by jumping into it with her having any knowledge of it. If you do find her, please make sure that I am not causing a problem for her or her family.I want just to see her; to know her name. I don't need to be a part of her life, but it would be good if I could. Thank you so much for your help with this. Even if you do not find her I do appreciate the work that you've put into it. All Other Information: I went to the Bethesda Home for Girls in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 11-15-1974 ?. I only stayed there a month and was given permission to be home by Christmas. Doctor Felts was delivery doctor. I was told by the Barnwell's (caregivers at the home) I had given birth to a boy with blonde hair, and blue eyes. He had a dimple in his chin and he was adopted by Missionaries. I do not know where they were stationed or even if they were out of the country. Jack Riley was the Attorney who handled the adoption process. I believe my son has contacted me at least two times in the last 15 years. Once in 1988, he left a message at work his name was Steve and he was my son. Another time in 1988 or 1989 he called me at my home late at night, but neither one of us really knew what to say. I was going by my maiden name then. I have four other children who would love to meet their brother.

All Other Information: Twin was stolen and sold during a black market baby scandal that occurred during the mid 60's to the mid-late 70's. Mother never saw my twin, but we know from all accounts that my twin is male. I believe he may be in MS or AL, but am unsure of any facts as to where he may be now. I have blue eyes but they change all the time from blue to green to gray. My hair is a light brown color. I am tall as well. I do have Very Important Medical Info that he needs to have. I always knew the story of my adoption, I think my parents must have started telling me as soon as they picked me up from the hospital. I am not angry or resenful for being placed for adoption, I know that choosing to carry a child to term is an act of love. I am curious in general and particularly interested in getting family medical history as much more is now known to be hereditary than when I was born. My adoption was set in to motion by a Dr. Charlie Osborn in Starkville. My biological mother lived with Dr. Osborn's Receptionist during the latter part of her pregnancy. I spoke with the receptionist about 15 years ago, she did not have any contact with my biological mother after the birth. My mother thinks she remembers that my biological mother had been a journalism major at University of MS.

It recently changed its name to Biloxi Regional Medical Center. But when I was born it was Howard Memorial. (Update) I have discovered that Attorney Jack Riley in Hattiesburg, MS handled my adoption. I also found out that my birth mother was sent from Bethesda Home for Girls to stay with a military family in Biloxi a couple weeks before my birth.
