All Other Information: I am looking for any member of my birth family. I would just like to get some more info on the family and updated medical info. I was told the last name was a strong German name. My birth father did not believe I was his and was not named on anything. I have been told in the past that this caused a legal notice to be filed in the local paper. However, since I was not given up until after my birth, there are 6 months of notices that could be reviewed. (Update) I do not know birth parents exact ages. I was only told they were both students at UW Oshkosh....so early 20s?. My hair was very red at birth but has turned brown over the years. Eyes are a blue / green.

I know that my birth mother was 18 years old when she had me and already had a 1 year old son. I know that I am German, Irish, French, and Swedish descent. I know that lung cancer runs in my family, but apparently my birth mother smoked a lot of cigarettes and drank a lot of coffee during her pregnancy with me. All Other Information: I am searching for any birth family member. I was born 5-15-1981 at St Lukes Memorial Hospital in Racine, WI at 5:12 a.m. The doctor listed on the birth certificate is Elizabeth Allen Steffen, M.D. The Adoption was handled by Children's Service Society of Wisconsin. The Lawyer office was Brazeau, Potter, Wefel, and Nettesheim and the case was handled by Gary Kryshak. I did a search through the state and they could not find my birth mother. They did however track down her sister in another state. But won't release her info to me. This is what I learned: My birth mother was mentally ill at the time of my birth and continued to be long after. Her parents are deceased and she never came for the funeral. The sister lost touch with her till 1997. When she found her living in a far Western in a boarding house. The sister said my mother is not in contact with reality all the time. I know she was on Social Security for Mental Disability but the state said they couldn’t track her. The sister said my mother wasn’t functioning well only holding jobs for 3-6 months at a time. The state would not search for the birth father because there was 2 Alleged birth fathers. I was recently contacted by a man that said he thought there was a slight chance he was my birth father so we're looking into details. Unfortunately, he couldn’t remember the woman’s last name. In 2002, I spoke to the head nurse at the hospital who also worked there when I was born. She told me my birth mother had no pre-natal care, was not married, her 1st pregnancy, and there were only 2 little girls born that day. She then went on to say that my birth mothers name was sitting there in front of her, and if she could have given me the name, she wouldn’t because of her horrible adoption reunion. She told me to quit looking. I cant. I suffer from severe chronic migraines and mental illness and so does my son. So finding our family could give us answers and help in so many ways. (Update) My birth mother was 30 or 31 years old at time of my birth. I found out through my first state search that there was 2 alleged fathers. Only 1 had his info given.
