All Other Information: My adoptive parents were stationed in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the Air Force Base. I was adopted on a Thursday, I believe. My adoptive parents arrived home with me on Friday and my aunts and uncles arrived on Saturday to see me. This info I got from my Aunt. There were two neighbor boys living next to us and their names were Bobby & Rupert. I have no last names. They were 4-6 years older than me, I believe. My adoptive mother's parents were living in Mississippi at the time and may have helped with the adoption in some way. My adoptive grandmother's father, I believe, was once the attorney general for the state of Louisiana. His name was Joel Dean Dickinson. It may have been a brother, as I am not sure of the dates. My adoptive maternal grandparents are Bettie Lou Dickinson Stewart Holt and William Robert Holt. My adoptive parents did not tell me I was adopted. I found out from an aunt after they both were deceased. The information I have listed regarding my birth is what I have been told by my adoptive parents & adoptive grandparents. No one had ever mentioned I was adopted before this week. My adoptive parents, I believe had tried to adopt a little boy around 4-6 years old named Bobby before they got me. Bobby's birth parent's, I believe decided they wanted him back and he was taken from them after they had had him living with them for several months. My adoptive mother was an only child, as was I. My adoptive mother was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana and my adoptive father was born in Gravette, Arkansas. My adoptive father was second oldest of 12, and was mainly raised in Brownsville, TX. My adoptive paternal grandparents were Pauline Hart Zimmerman and Francis Leroy Zimmerman. My adoptive parents were married on 7-16-1947 at the Justice of the Peace. We moved to North Las Vegas, Nevada when I was three and adoptive father was stationed at Nellis AFB there. He retired in 1968 and was in civil service till 1978 at the Nevada Test Site and then we moved to Irving, Texas. That is pretty much all I know. Thanks for any help. (Update) I am 5'4" tall, I have hazel blue eyes and dark blonde hair. I have no info on my birth parents.

I have called and called I found nothing in 48 years there. for some reason our adoption is a secret it's like it is a hush hush. I don't understand why it's so hard to find my birth mother. I know you might find out she died I can handle this. I know I have a brother out there a few sisters. I don't have any more info sorry. All Other Information: Mine was a closed adoption through Mississippi Children's Home. The people there called me "Baby Carol" leading my family to believe my birth mother had named me that. Both parents had a history of allergies, but that was the only medical history provided. I must have one blue-eyed parent because although my eyes are hazel, and my daughter's father has brown eyes, hers are aquamarine blue. She also has extraordinarily curly hair. I have a birthmark on my right calf shaped like Taiwan. My daughter has the same birthmark, except hers is horizontal and on her rib-cage.
