We know that he had been in an orphanage and was brought to the states by a man who worked at sheppard air force base and his sister ran the orphange in Germany. Later my grandfather actually adopted a girl who was older from the same orphange. Please any info would be helpful. (Update) Kurt's has blue eyes and black hair. (Update) My Dad's birth name was Kurt Alois Kistner and he was at the orphanage till at least 8-18-1960 that was the last dated photo. All Other Information: Martina was in an orphanage ( maybe near Stuttgart , because we stay in a small town Wannweil (near Reutlingen) and a uncle drove my mother and me to pick Martinas up. She was pick up by Lucia Maria Federica Lumpp in ?-?-1960 ( April- August ) Maybe the real date of this is 4-11-1960. we stay in Wannweil a lot of time because Martina was ill and we flew back to Buenos Aires in the fly KL 791 KLM Zurich Buenos Aires (10-11-1960) The passengers list is double of this fly, the only thing that changed is Martinas name, who was scratched in one of them. With pencil was written Yrion ( maybe this is her real last name). Lucia told that she went there to pick up some girl and she pick up Martina because she extend her arms to her. Apparently they were in some list of adoptions ( could be Caritas) Lucia told that the woman who works in the orphanage said to her that Martina has a piece of paper in her chest when she was put in the orphanage. That paper said that her wish is to get adopted by a catholic family ( in this region in Germany were protestan). They were told to the family and friends that Martinas grandfather was a butcher. I have a photo from Martina in the orphanage, she is in a cradle with other boy. The birth date is not the real one. Could be the day when she was adopted or picking up from the orphanage. I know this because some relatives told us that at this time she was some months old, more than 6 maybe.

All Other Information: I have a German Birth Certificate that states I was born 1-24-1961 and recorded 2-16-1961. The report of birth was on 6-13-1961. I became a Naturalized Citizen of the US on 1-11-1965. I remember being in an orphanage when I was a baby. I remember a different military family visiting with me and giving me a blue and white terry cloth cat. My adoptive mother confirmed this and got very upset, refusing to speak to me for days afterwards. My adoptive parents are very secretive about my past and will not tell me anything. At one time my adoptive mother confirmed I was in an orphanage in Frankfurt, Germany but later denied it. I believe I was adopted by my adoptive parents in Frankfurt. They lived in Aschaffenburg at the time as my adoptive father was in the Army and stationed there. I had requested my military medical records at one time and when I received them, the first 8 years were "missing." My adoptive parents refuse to speak of the past and we no longer communicate because of my questions. I am 51 now and about 10 years ago, my adoptive mother sent me the originals of my papers however, she neglected to send me the German Birth Certificate. I only have a copy. I've wondered about my past ever since I was a small child and can very clearly envision the inside of the orphanage and the man and woman that gave me the stuffed cat. I also remember we lived in Frankfurt until I was about 10 and we went to a Gasthaus (spelling??) every Friday evening and I would have dinner with a German couple while my adoptive parents and brother sat at a different table. I spoke German quite well at the time and remember laughing and enjoying my time with this couple. I just want to know the truth about my past. If anyone can discover that I was adopted and either of my birth parents are alive, I would love to meet them, however, if they do not desire to re-establish any relationship, I am good with that as well. All Other Information: My father brought me to the US from Germany when I was about 7 or 8 years old. He was married to my step mother and had 3 other children with her before I was born. While stationed in Germany he had an affair. I was told my birth mother died when I was born. I was in hospital for a long time because I was very sick as an infant. I found a piece of paper years ago that said my real name is Betina Dagmar Rauschenfritz or Rauschen Fritz / Fritsch, not sure of spelling that I was in an orphanage in Baumholder. The cards I found were green in color. The orphanage papers said Catholic. I don't know if my mother's name could have been Betina Dagmar or that my name is Betina Dagmar. My father and step mother would never tell me anything about my birth or past and as a consequence, I've never had a birth certificate. I really, really need to get this information in a hurry because I need to have it for urgent medical reasons. Social Security won't help me without my American birth certificate. I'm suffering from a life threatening illness and need this information to get urgent financial support for my life threatening health problems. I'm hoping to find my passport information when my father moved me here to the USA from Germany. Please help me. As far as I know, my father who raised me and is also my biological father, never filed any information with the State Department to have my American Citizenship validated. My step-mother is Jewish, and has always resented my existence not only because my birth mother was German, but because my father was unfaithful to her. I believe this is why my father would never allow me to find out my origins, and as far as I know, never finished taking care of my citizenship. Any help from you would be most appreciated, not only for me, but for my children's sake. My father passed away some time ago and my step mother still refuses to give me any information. She and her sister lived at 57E Geistiger Strasse, Stuttgart-Wangen at least during the time 1958-1961, maybe longer. Family legend (from my mother) says that Karen moved to Berlin with the baby and was in East Berlin when the wall went up. I believe my birth father may have been killed in the Vietnam war and my birth mother may have committed suicide. My adoptive parents deny I was adopted but there are many clues that say I am. There are no baby pictures of me except on passport picture when I was 6 months old and the rest of my pictures began at around 4 years old. I have two step sisters and one step brother. They have pictures of themselves from infant! one year old two year old three year old etc. They all have individual pictures with them with Santa not one with me and other pictures of all three of them together but I am not in the pictures. I am the youngest born in 10-10-1961 ? and my sister born in 4-?-1962, brother born in 9-?-1958 and sister born in 11-?-1954. Their names are Ruthie Steven and Mary. The only confirmation I have ever had that I was adopted was when I asked my sister mary if she was really my biological sister and she cannot lie she said that all she can say is that I have always been in the family. All Other Information: My paperwork states the Certification Role # as 1148/63. It was written up by Sabastion Huber, Notary Republic in Kaiserslautern. Dated 3-13-1963. It also says that the contractrequired the approval of the adoption court in Landstuhl.The approval was to be sent to Mr.Hermann Klein. My birth mother Mrs. Anna-Klara-Brigette Schmidt gave approval of the adoption on 11-5-1962. According to my paperwork my birth mother had been married and was now divorced. her birth date was 6-1-1936. She was born in Leipzig, Germany. As far as I know thats all of the information I have, and it was given me by my adoptive parents who have since passed away. (Update) I know nothing about my birth father, other than he was white. He and my birth mother were not married, as I was referred to as "Illigitamate Child" on birth certificate. I am 5'7" tall and have blue eyes. From the only picture I have of my birth mother, she appears to be tall and thin. I was told she was 26 years old when it was taken. I cannot tell the color of eyes as it was a black and white photo..(Update) Birth mother passed away in 12-?- 2009. (Update) Although I have no information on my birth father. other than he was an American. My birth mother was also living in the USA at the time of her death.

All Other Information: I am grateful for any information. I am searching to find out who my biological father is. I was born in a German hospital or hospital run by nuns in Fulda West Germany. Donald David Hughes is the father listed on my Geburtsurkunde. He is not my biological father. My birth mother is German. The Geburtsurkunde states I was born on 12-30-1962 in Fulda. The "Wohnung" lists Hattenhof, Kreis, Fulda Muhlenstrasse 105. The Geburtsurkunde was notorized by the "Standesbeamte" on 9-18-1964. Almost 2 years after I was born. The two men were in the Army stationed in Fulda Germany at the time frame of 1962. During my early teen years, I learned accidently from my birth mother at that time my Father who is raising me was not my biological father. I was told he was friends with my biological father and stepped in to marry my birth mother. I was told my biological father's first name was Raymond and he was from New York, his nationality was from the vicinity of the Dominican Islands. I don't know if the biological father would know about me. My birth mother declines to provide any additional information and it is not discussed in our family. I am searching for some truth and closure.

All Other Information: I am trying to help my sister, her father was an American soldier unknown name. Birth mother was or is Irmgard Katherine Schwientek. She was adopted by a military family and raised in USA has been here for 45 years. Division of motor vehicle has now after all these years declared her an Alien and said they will deport her to Germany with nothing on her back and 50.00. She doesn't care if they don't want to make connections. The problem is now DMV will not accept her translated birth certificate they say she needs contact with birth mother or birth father and to get a birth certificate from Germany. Or the agency that handled adoption She has worked here, schooled here, married here and has 2 children and 3 grand children here. They now say anytime they can pick her up at anytime. Ashe has been hospitalized over all this. She was issued everything any American has been given, passports, driver's license, marriage license. Now they tell her she must have gotten a forged one, even though on DMV record and paid federal taxes. Time is running short if anyone has a suggestion, help anything would be appreciated. All Other Information: I was born in Soest Germany 4-6-1965. I have a lot off correspondence paper work in regards to my adoption. When I was reading through some of this it had indicated that my birth mother would not sign me over for adoption. I believe that I was born in an orphanage in the city of Soest and grew up there for the first five years of my life due to no signature. The courts took it upon them self to substitute my mother’s consent (according to Art. 1747 sect. 111 German Civil Code).The last time my mother came to see my I was about 4 years old. I 8-?-1991 at the age of 5 I left Germany behind and in a lot of myself. There is a large void in my life that I have always felt, it’s time for closer. The adoptee’s birth date is either 4-6-1965 or 5-6-1965. The reason for the discrepancy is on the adoption papers, where most of the time it states April as the birth month, but not all the time. On occasion it states it as 5-6-1965.

All Other Information: I was born to Gisela Brigitte Karzek, in Landstuhl. I was adopted at 2 months old by an American family stationed at Ramstein Air Base. I know nothing of my biological father, except that he was an American GI. About 14 years ago, I established brief contact with Gisela, mainly via letters, but a few ocassional phone calls. This contact lasted less than 1 year. Her letters started being returned "Not At This Address". From the contact I had with Gisela, her last city of residence was Ramstein. I do not have her address. Gisela was born in Berlin or in the Berlin area. Her mother lives(ed) in Berlin & has (had) breast cancer. I'm pretty sure Gisela did not marry, so her only surname is Karzek. Gisela had several children & did not keep any of them. All but 1 were given up for adoption to American families, most of whom were stationed at Ramstein Air Base. Gisela had one son, fathered by a German citzen. This son lived with his German father. He could not be adopted by an American family as his birth father is (was) a German citzen. All together Gisela had somewhere between 7-10 children. I have recently established contact (verbal & written) with a biological brother who lives in Ohio. We have exchanged many pictures, papers, and e-mails. There is no doubt in my mind that he is my biological brother. In ?-?-1968, when my biological brother was adopted, Gisela's address was: Miss Gisela Brigitte Karzek 16 Kottweilerstrasse, Miesenbach Her DOB is: 6-21-1940 Her birth place is Berlin-Tiergarten His wife has done extensive research to find out so much of our adoption information. If you know anything or are able to point me in the right direction, please contact me. (Update) I have discovered some more information about my biological mother, Gisela Brigitte Karzek. Gisela died 8-8-2007 in Pirmasens. Gisela is buried in the Waldfriedhof (Cemetary) in Pirmasens, urn row/line field section 23 c, Row/line 4, grave number 28. Her burial was paid for by the city of Pirmasens, so it appears that she may have had no next of kin at the time of her death. What she died of, I still don't know. She was treated in and died at the Pirmasens Hospital. (Update) Incredible news! We ((FOUND)) another birth sibling! A birth brother, Raymond from Oklahoma. He was born 3-?-1961. We have the same birth mother.

All Other Information: The name for my birth father on my birth records (according to the Standesamt in Erlensee) is Winfried Höll. That is why my birth name was Jimmie Höll. However, he is not my biological father and this is indicated in some adoption records I have. Indeed I have reunited with my birth mother's first son and his father is the Winfried Höll listed as my birth father. I am part black and definitely not his son. There is a U.S. air base in Langendiebach (my birth city) and my birth father was probably a U.S. Soldier Stationed there in ?-?-1966. The town of Rückingen and Langediebach combined in 1970 and became Erlensee and this is why I searched there for birth information. I have a brother, John, who was born in Rückingen on 2-22-1968 who has located his birth father but DNA testing confirms all the information we have that we have different birth fathers. On 7-25-1968 I was in the custody of Nürnberg City Youth Office as ordered by the Nürnberg District Court (file # VII 754/68). As of 12-19-1969 I was living in permanent foster-care with a young military couple, John & Karen Herron (file #2/70b in the adoption register). On 1-23-1970 my mother, Marion Luise Reber, gave her consent for the adoption. 7-6-1970 the Bamberg District Court (file # X402/70) decreed the adoption final. 7-7-1970 my name was changed to John Joseph Herron. We moved back to the USA and several years later I became a Naturalized US citizen. Here are some things that I do know about Marion Luise Reber. I do know she was young when she had me, possibly less than 25 years of age. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. In one document her occupation was listed as a housemaid and in a separate instance as a hairdresser. At the time that she gave consent she was using identification card C8537105. I have a Record of Baptism Taufbestätigung ( # 419) from the Städt. Krankenanstalten (Nürnberg State Hospital?) dated 6-11-1986 that lists her address only as Königshofen am Kahl, Kreis Alzenau in Unterfranken. 185 Schnieglinger Strasse in Nürnberg is another address she was at 6-?-1968 or 7-?-1968. And 34 Veilhofstrasse in Nürnberg was what she used sometime in 1-?-1970. I believe that Marion Luise Reber married a Peter Böhnlein and lives or lived in Schwanstetten, Germany but this has not been verified.

All Other Information: I don't know a whole lot about my adoption, only that I was placed in foster care with my adoptive parents pretty much right after birth. My birth mother was married and had an affair with an American GI stationed in the Landstuhl / Ramstein / Kaiserslautern area. I do not know if he was Army or Air Force. I lived with my adoptive parents in a small town called Mittelbrunn, not far from Landstuhl and do wagely remember a man coming by the house with a big car, I think I was maybe around 3 at that time, he just looked at me play for a while and then left, now I don't know if this was my father, but maybe if you are out there you will remember the little dark haired brown eyed girl you saw. I do not know a name only was told by my mother that my birth father was supposively of hispanic origin.

All Other Information: My adopted parents were stationed in Friedberg, Germany from about 1966-1969. I was given to my adopted parents at 4 hours old. My birth mother had another child who would have been about 1 year old at my birth. I think his name is Norman. All of us, my adopted parents, birth mother and brother returned stateside quickly after my birth. After completing the adoption process my birth mother and birth brother left Brownwood, Texas with someone and there was no further contact. My adoption may have been a little different than most. I was born in Germany and within a month or two my future adopted family returned to the US with my birth mother and birth brother. The adoption was processed and completed in Texas. I'm not sure if this was a common practice.
