When I requested Non-Identifying info from Florida they told me that Helen Tanos Hope handled the Florida side, but since I was taken immediately to N.Y., my adoption was finalized in New York where I grew up. Both adoptive parents are deceased and I don’t have any information, so I did a 23 & Me and AncestryDNA test. I found a first cousin on both sides. All Other Information: I know that we (my twin brother and I) were born at Broward County General Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 11-2-1967. The name of our birth mother is listed as Barbara McClain Temple. We were listed as baby girl Temple and baby boy Temple. Helen Tanos Hope was the lawyer who handled the adoption in FL. The letters from her to my adoptive parents say that my birth mother was Irish Catholic, 5'4" tall with blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. (Pretty much what I look like). It also says that she had two older children, a boy approx. 14 and a girl approx. 11. She worked as a dental tech. in the area. My birth father was tall, blonde, blue eyed and Scotch Irish. He worked as a civil engineer. My speculations are they weren't married and that he was not the father of the older children. Just my guess. My adoptive parents lived and continue to live in PA. The lawyer of record in PA was James Manderino. He has since passed away and I have not been able to find any additional information on that end. The adoption papers were filed in the Orphans court of Westmoreland County in Greensburg, PA. They remain sealed. (Update) Lorrie is 5'2" tall, with blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair.

All Other Information: (Update) Not sure of birth parents age or color of eyes and hair. I was told I was born on my birth mothers 16th birthday. I know nothing of my biological father. My eyes are brown. When I had hair; it was dark brown. (Shaved head now) My eyes were very badly crossed when I was born. I had to have several eye surgeries to fix them. Both my pinky’s tendons did not grow; so both my pinky’s are curled. I am not having problems with bones or muscles. I am about to get double shoulder replacement because my bones deteriorated. Now I am having problems with other joints. At this point my medical history would help a lot. I am 5’9” tall, I weight about 150. My daughter is 5'7” tall, (so far). Nobody on my wife’s side is tall; so she must me getting her height from my side.

All documentation I have has my birth mothers name blacked out, however I have doctors names that cared for her along with a patient contact number. Oddly enough on one of my medical papers a social security number appears but am unsure if in the 70's were social security numbers used to identify the physician providing services. I have experienced a few medical complications and all of my documentation states that both my birth parents were healthy. My birth mother was 20 years old at time of my birth, born in FL, approx. 115 lbs., with blue eyes and reddish / brown hair. She was also of the Lutheran religion. She had been hospitalized in 1975 for a tonsillectomy and in 1976 for a blood clot in her leg from taking birth control pills. My birth mothers father was 59 years old at time of my birth and her mother was 53 years old. My birth mother had 1 brother age 11 years old at the time and 1 sister age 24 years old. My birth father was 31 years old born in NJ, divorced, 5'8” tall, 145 lbs., he was employed as an electrician's apprentice, his father was 52 years old and was an electrician, his mother was 47 years old and was a housewife. He was 6 lbs. and 12 ounces and born at 4:41 p.m. when he was born. I didn't want to give him up but back then it wasn't easy to keep your child like it is today. All Other Information: My name was spelled Cynthia Sue Castle the spelling has since changed because of a typo on my birth certificate to Cinthia Sue Castle. I lived in Tampa, Florida at the time of adoption and I was 19 years old my birthdate 9-26-1973, his birth father was 28 years old birthdate 3-1-1965. I have an older birth son who would be his full birth brother who is now 25 years old, which would be 1 1/2 years older. I have reason to believe my birth sons adoption was a black / grey market adoption because on his 18th birthday I started to do research and file my registry papers and to my surprise I learned that the attorney I used, Helen Tanos Hope was assumed by someone to handle adoptions such as black / grey market. Also I seen a letter written from her own daughter that states to register under the black market registry only because her records were found in a dumpster and some could have been lost. either way there could be a chance my records were some of those lost or these allegations could be true. (Update) Birth mother is 5'4" tall,- average 125 lbs., I have hazel eyes that seem to lighten when I am happy and darken when I'm not so happy. I have sandy blonde hair. Birth father also has sandy blonde hair with green eyes is 5'6" tall and weighs 155lbs. His full brother also has sandy blonde hair is 5'7" tall averages 180-200 lbs. Brother has eyes same as mother that reflect his mood, also has a stocky build as if he works out, rarely ever gets sick and very athletic all around very good at all sports and studies. Other siblings are a half-sister (same father) she has blonde hair, 5'7" tall and weighs 135 lbs.,. Half brother has very blonde hair, weighs 155 lbs., and has a thinner build.
