All Other Information: Identical twin, separated at birth. Birth mother married a friend to cover pregnancy & hid the truth even from husband. My mother was talked into giving up 1 twin by her mother, noting that if the husband discovered the truth. One child he could forgive but not two. How sad this must have been for my mother to choose. We were identical accept for the mole between my toes...later in life my mother said my birth father was named John Reedes, a soldier she had met while studying at the U. of ND. At 16 years old I missed attending a basketball game in either Fargo, ND or Moorhead, MN, because I was sick...so the rally bus went without me. At that game all my friends claimed I was there, sitting on the opposite teams side with a boy. My boyfriend, who play on the team, (Mandan, ND) broke up with me when he returned. Oh sob...It was evident growing up that I must have had a different birth father from my 7 other siblings. I had green eyes and dark hair, fair skin...and my siblings were all blue eyed and blond hair. At 21 years old I finally asked my birth mother who my birth father was...and she said just look in the mirror. I was told he died in the war...I spent months reviewing old obituaries in the local paper thinking I would find some trace of him...or at least an answer. Nothing. This year I had an unusual experience. I awoke to find a face looking at me alongside my bed..there was something familiar about it. Same smile, same nose, & noted a sense of humor in his eyes, As I watched the face it dawned on me it was my birth father...he would have been 93...perhaps he had come to say goodbye. In 1995,I did International trade show in Houston as a designer. The bus driver from hotel to convention claimed he knew me. He worked in Menlo Park, CA. installing cable. "Don't you remember me he said ? I installed 4 connections for you." I told him he must be mistaken..."You look the same and have the same laugh..." Twice I met women who claimed to know me from San Francisco...couldn't remember her name...but claimed I was identical in hairdo, and clothing choices. From them I learned she had a son named Bob, (my son is named Bob too) divorced, and lived in the bay area. One said she had worked for a collection agency in SF. I think we have always lived within 100 miles of each other...I'm 73, it's time we found each other...I think we will.
