Mr. Richard W. Davis of Davis, Davis, and Davis Attorneys handled the Virginia portion of the case until it was transferred to Georgia. The baby's bracelet gives my name, Pamela Petruzzi, the baby's gender as male, date of birth 8-1-1970 and Dr.Goodner's name. The baby's ID bracelet has an ID# 6576. I was a resident at Seton House for unwed mothers in Richmond, VA from approximately late 5-?-1970 until the 1st week of August with the baby's birth 8-1-1970. I was taken by ambulance from Seton House to the hospital (per band Sheltering Arms Hospital) on 7-31-1970. The birth father was not involved throughout the pregnacy or adoption process. I had met with a social worker, I believe through the Catholic Charities organization and think I signed the papers in the hospital approximately 2-3 days after giving birth. All Other Information: My mother tells me that I was adopted at 3 months of age, although pictures suggest that I may have been a few months older than that. According to my birth certificate, I was born at Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA on 8-9-1971. My mother has not given me any information on my adoption, but my adoptive brother once said that my birth mother was very young and had to give me up and that my birth father was an older man and was a brick layer. I'm not sure if that's true or not. I believe I was adopted through an agency, but I don't know the name of it. My adoptive mother did tell me that I was given to one or two other families before I was adopted by my adoptive parents (for foster care, maybe?) and was "returned" because of severe colic and crying. She listed birth father as being a 24 year old salvage metal worker who was not aware of the baby they never located him for approval. He lived in Warren, PA at some point during these proceedings they had a letter returned as "He Moved" from that address She (birth mother) was 24 years old, had a sister age 26 years old worked at a laundry, and a brother age 18 years old worked at a service station Her father was 41 years old in 1971 unemployed due to pancreas issues Her mother was 44 years old worked at a laundry. My birth mother may be under the care of welfare services that is why she had to give up her son James (while our birth father was in jail) and after I was born she still did not have the capacity to give me up either and therefore it was my imprisoned birth father's custody of me which he maintained until I was 4 years old, to give me up for adoption. I lived in St Colemams home for orphans for a period of time before meeting the Nelsons and the time it takes to go from a foster child up to adoption finalization. I broke ties speaking to my birth mother after feeling torn feelings as a child, trying to move on with a caring new family, the Nelson's. I have uncovered 8 half birth siblings, all the same birth father in my search for my birth mother. I also just heard news I may have this blood brother James Jr. too, also adopted though but at even a younger age. Name more than likely changed, like me. I can’t believe that I may have someone else out there!! GOD is good!.
