Birth mother was 16 years old, birth father older and a "mill worker"? he may have been married before and had other children already. Adoptive parents thought there was Native American in parental lineage and were surprised how fair I was. In 1992 I looked on microfilm and found that there were no baby girls with the statistics my (adoptive) mother had from my birth, so could be different time, weight or even day. The North Bend hospital burned down sometime and I couldn't access records. Oregon state just sent me a notice that my birth parents were healthy and their ages 16 years old and I can't remember 20 or 21 years old for my birth father and that they were married at time of my birth. They insisted it was a closed adoption but adoptive mother said she thought I would have access to records once I turned 18 years old and was supportive of my search. Birth father was accused of domestic abuse by birth mother and my adoptive mother thought they were divorced eventually. Oregon state said, no they were neither one Native American, which was different from what my adoptive parents were told by social worker. I was in foster care until adoption. I also was allergic to milk formula and I had some funny nasty stuff that stained everything. My adoptive parents had been foster parents in Benton County and lived in Benton County, not Coos County.
