All Other Information: I am searching for my mother's birth parents and birth siblings. My mom was born 1-25-1922. She was told she was adopted during a family argument at age 18 years old. She was never able to "let it go " and I experienced her pain for my whole life. Whenever she could she would search phone books and census of " Barrett" in Salt Lake City searching and sad. My mother's adoptive parents Frank and Ethel were working engineer on caboose of train and cooking for workers, traveling Iowa- Oregon with the railroad in the 1920's. The LDS church helped find an adoptive family for a young woman last name of Barrett living in Salt Lake City. The adoption for some reason was arranged hush- hush. Ethel wore maternity clothes for nine months, everyone neighbors and church friends believed she was the pregnant one. Grandfather Frank retired from the railroad and he and Ethel settled along the Snake River in Weiser, ID. Farming and cattle. Grandmother Ethel went into nursing working for a lady OB / GYN. It was during this time that young - lady Barrett was in contact with the lady OB / GYN. She received her medical care and Ethel started wearing maternity. At 18 years of age LaVaughn was told :(

All Other Information: This is my mothers information and we have looked for her birth parents a couple of times. She passed away when we were young to cancer. My grandma did not tell us much about how the adoption took place other than to tell us the hospital had burned down and records did not exhist. We have found that this is not true as we did get a birth certificate from St. Valentines hospital. no birth parents were listed but her name, birth date, and footprints were there. Our father also passed away about 9 years ago so we are a family of 4 kids that would like to know our past relitives and very much need to know about past Ilnesses. there is already one case of MS and some back surgerys needed between us. My sister was stopped years ago from searching due to Idaho's supposedly having a sealed adoption law.

All Other Information: My mother was previously married to a Robert E. Cohenour on 6-10-1950 in Kootenai, ID--right after graduating high school in Libby, MT. No public documents available for divorce. My Mom then married my birth father R. Bruce McDaniel on 5-31-1952 in Redmond, OR. The story goes...my Mom gave a baby girl up for adoption in Spokane, WA before moving to Redmond, Oregon and meeting my birth father. They met and married within 3 months. All Other Information: I am looking for my step mothers birth parents. She is in need of medical information as my step sister has been diagnosed with a seizure disorder and other health problems. Her adoptive mother stated Birth Mother (Alice Thomas) arrived at Elmore Memorial Hospital to give birth. Stated that she couldn't afford another child, as she had 6 or more other children at home. Mrs. Thomas supposedly told the nurse (adoptive mother) that she could adopt the baby in exchange for a winter coat. She stated that she was just "passing through" which may mean that her husband was in the military considering Mountain Home Airforce Base is located there. The hospital has stated that they do not have any records of the birth. No other information known.
