All Other Information: Searching for the biological parents of Tommy D. Townsend. He is deceased and so is his adopted parents. His birth record has Notie Lee Darden and Tom Townsend as his birth parents however, they are not his birth parents. It was a family secret that has just recently been revealed that Notie along with each one of her 4 sisters were unable to conceive. It is possible that the birth mother is the deceased daughter of Silas Townsend. I do not have her name. Silas Townsend was Tom's brother and he lived in Mount Bayou, MS. Tommy D. Townsend is listed in the 1930 census as being the son of Notie and Tom Townsend but everyone in the family knew that she was unable to have children. His birth record was purchased after he was several years old by Notie and she was able to get the mortuary company to sign off on it and say that she was his mother because she was paying his insurance. Notie, Tom and everyone that knew the truth never revealed that Tommy D. Townsend was adopted. It is also possible that he is the son of Tom by another woman. Everyone that knew the truth is deceased.

All Other Information: My adopted father was in the us coast guard. My adopted mother was 46 and adopted father was 49. they lived in Pascagoula, Mississippi. I was told me they got me at birth but did not adopt me until 1942 or 1943. I have a copy of a birth certificate dated 2-16-1943, where they have my adopted name of Johan Robert Nilsen on it. it states, this adoption certificate is hereby accepted and is based on the following: 1. a certified copy of an adoption decree by a chancery court in the state of Mississippi. 2. certificate filed by Mississippi Children’s Home. 3. chapter 307-laws of Mississippi 1942 the certificate has a number at the top reg # 52280-35 that is all I have. I am in bad health with heart and diabetes. at age 79, it would be a great gift to know from who and where I came from. I have taken dna tests for ancestry.com and family tree dna, but nothing has shown up as positive. a cousin who showed up has posted info, but I have since learned that it was erroneous. I had 1/2 cousin show up who lives in Houston, Texas, but he does not communicate. The names, Gilliland, Nichols, Wallace, have all shown up, but have not been able to put anything together. I mailed a document to Jackson county chancery court in Pascagoula, MS, and called Hinds County chancery court in Jackson, MS, but no one could seem to find anything. my wife, aggie does all these email and computer work, and if you need to call, ask for her, because I don't hear well, especially on the phone. thank you for the work you do and god bless you. All Other Information: I got a close DNA match to a cousin and her father his name was Layman Williams-Wells born on 10-7-1939 from the Vicksburg, Mississippi and died 11-15-1998, or 12-1-1998 in Seattle, King County, Washington. Due to me, getting this close DNA match no one knows who her father is, and on top of that where it states he was born in Mississippi. None of my family is from Mississippi. However, her father does resemble my great grandmother’s youngest son Donald Senior, and surprisingly this new relatives closest DNA match is to Donald senior, and I am possibly starting to believe that either his mother Maggie Williams either adopted him, or she’s an unknown relative. Robert Earl Tyson was born 4-16-1955 at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville, Mississippi. His birth parents were Robert Frank Tyson (age 25), and Mattie Lucille Williams Tyson (age 23) Charles Edward Tyson was born 2-11-1954, at Lallie Kemp Charity Hospital in Independence, LA.
